Christine McGuinness returns to Celebs Go Dating after sexuality admission
Christine McGuinness has returned to Celebs Go Dating, just weeks after announcing she was withdrawing from the programme due to the mounting pressures of the reality show
Christine McGuinness has returned to Celebs Go Dating just weeks after dramatically pulling out of the show. The reality star and former wife of TV presenter Paddy McGuinness took to social media last month to inform fans she had made the decision to quit the dating programme just days into filming.
At the time, the 37-year-old said she felt as though the show had good intentions, but the experience was "too soon" following the finalisation of her divorce from Top Gear host, Paddy.
But just over a month later, the former Real Housewives of Cheshire star has returned to the show and has been pictured at the grand finale, which was held in London.
Love guru Anna Williamson took to social media, sharing a string of snaps from the final filming of the programme, surrounded by the famous faces who were looking for love, including Kerry Katona, Olivia Hawkins, Mark Labbett, Donna Preston and Sam Prince.
Speaking about Christine's return, a source told The Sun: "Christine's return was kept top secret from everyone, so they were all so excited to see her come back. The cast were really sad when she quit the show, even though they totally supported and understood her reasons, so it was great to see her come back.
"She started the journey with them all, so it was the perfect end that she got to finish the series with them too." They went on to explain that Christine didn't find love on the dating programme, but the decision for her to leave was the right one. Meanwhile, Anna captioned her upload: "Oh…my…..word. I cannot express just HOW good this series of @celebsgodating is!!!!
"10 weeks of intense filming, dating, and coaching and we are done and dusted for another series. Oh my goodness, we have seen transformations in every single one of our amazing celebs!!! You are going to NEED to watch because it's THAT good. For now I have to shush (I don't want to spoil it) but let me tell you, making a show like this takes so many hundreds of incredibly talented people."
She added: "I am so proud to be part of this show, it is one of the kindest, warmest, most fun productions I believe in the industry, and in an age where we are all more challenged to find the light in life than ever, it really is such a wonderful family to be a part of."
Her return comes just weeks after Christine was praised for opening up about her sexuality, admitting that her former husband, friends and family had known she had dated both men and women. But while she didn't find love on Celebs Go Dating, she admitted that it shouldn't matter what someone's gender is.
Speaking on the How To Fail podcast, Christine said: "It never mattered to me, which was why once me and my ex-husband were separated and I met people, I didn't properly date. It was more like blurred the lines of friendships for me, that was normal. It felt comfortable because I'd done that as a teenager and I, as a teenager, I dated both men and women. My ex-husband knew, my family knew, it was never a secret for me."
She added that she doesn't label her sexuality and instead is a "free spirit." "No, and again, I've thought about it," she commented. Christine added: "A lot of people always ask me, are you a lesbian? Are you bisexual? Are you what? Is this a phase? I've always been quite a free spirit. I think that's the only word I would put on it. When I was a teenager, I'd dated boys and girls. 14/15 was probably when I had my first kisses with, with both, and I never felt it was anything different or a big deal."

I was spoiled as a child but neglected emotionally by my partying Emmerdale star mum, claims Mia Winward
Mia - who makes £100k a month stripping off - has revealed the details of her childhood DARK SECRET I was spoiled as a child but neglected emotionally by my partying Emmerdale star mum, claims Mia Winward Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SITTING by the pool in her luxury Mexican villa, Mia Winward is the envy of hoards of young women her age. But as I speak to the 20-year-old Brit model this week she breaks down in tears. 8 Mia Winward has opened up to The Sun about her childhood as the daughter a soap star Sammy Winward Credit: Instagram 8 She has described growing up with mum Sammy - pictured here in 2004 Credit: News Group Newspapers Ltd 8 The pair are sadly no longer on speaking terms after an explosive fallout Credit: Getty It's the start of what turns out to be a bombshell chat, where Mia claims for the first time that she was emotionally mistreated by her famous parents. Through tears she tells The Sun: 'I was raised by a 19-year-old soap star... I may have been spoiled materially, but I was definitely neglected emotionally. "I often felt lonely, picked on and controlled - about what I wore, what I said in public and most of all unsupported. "At times her choices - like boyfriends - left me feeling scared and sometimes it felt like too much pressure was placed on my shoulders." Mia's claims come after her famous parents Emmerdale star Sammy Winward, 39, and former footballer David Dunn, 45, cut her out of their lives last year after the then-teenager joined controversial adult site OnlyFans. The blonde star - who claims to make up to £100k a month - says they now refuse to pick up her calls. Its something Mia finds hypocritical as her mum Sammy was a mags lad favourite back in her heyday and often appeared topless - posing for shots just like Mia. 'I may have been spoiled materialistically, but I was definitely neglected emotionally.' Mia Winward 'My mum was doing pretty much the exact same thing like I'm doing, her version of it, back in her day. 'I just think how, how can you not be accepting? You were younger than me when you stripped off sand now you've completely blocked me out of your life." 'I saw her for 10 minutes a day' Mia was just a baby when her mum, Sammy, was at the height of her fame playing Katie Sugden on the ITV soap. Her earliest memories with her mum are sparse. Her dad - the footy star David - split from Sammy shortly after Mia was born. 'When she was working, I would see her for maybe 10 minutes a day," Mia says. "I'd be asleep when she got back from work and would see her briefly in the mornings and then she'd have to go.' Sammy Winward's daughter Mia Dunn reveals she's raked in £60k a month on OnlyFans amid feud with Emmerdale star mum Mia says as a result of her mum's schedule she was raised by her gran, telling us: 'My grandma literally gave up her entire life for me, got a flat in Leeds, near the Emmerdale set, just to take me on to set for my mum to breastfeed. 'My mum was often out partying when I was younger, leaving me with my grandma, which I was always happy to go to because my grandma is one of people who really raised me.' She added: "My mum wasn't there for me. She didn't support me." Sammy split from Mia's dad - Blackburn Rovers footballer David - shortly after she was born, which meant Mia met a number of the actress's new partners over the years. One sticks out in her mind who Mia recalls being very cruel to her. 8 Mia has said her mum was like a friend rather than a mother growing up Credit: sammy_winward1/Instagram 8 Sammy and footballer David Dunn - Mia's dad Credit: Getty 8 Mia's parents have struggled with her decision to do OnlyFans Credit: Instagram 'She had new boyfriends when I was younger, one in particular, who would yell at me about four or five years old just for coming into the bedroom when I had a nightmare,' she remembers. 'Bear in mind, I used to sleep in my mum's bed because she was a single mother and I got scared as a child in the dark.' According to Mia, things didn't get much easier as she became older. She told us: "My mum made me pay for petrol for her car to get to my course and I was making £5 an hour as a trainee hair stylist at this point. It was really tough." 'When she was working, I would see her maybe 10 minutes a day." Mia on mum Sammy Winward At 16, Mia says she had had enough of feeling like she was being controlled, told what she can and can't wear and not receiving the guidance she craved, so she made the decision to move in with her dad, who she'd had a rocky relationship with for several years. Putting aside any hard feelings towards her father, who is now married to new wife Hayley with whom he shares three children, Mia tells The Sun: 'He was really young when I was born, and he messed up because he was younger. 'I understand that so much because I've put myself in his shoes and he really did help install a work ethic in me and I'll always appreciate him for taking me in. I was really touched." During her earlier years, Mia has claimed she struggled to keep in touch with her dad and has accused him of not making enough effort to see her or even talk to her. 8 Mia is now making some serious money modelling Credit: Instagram 8 Sammy with her now husband Martyn Hardy But everything changed with her dad too when she started making adult content. Just a few months ago she claims her father cruelly branded her a 'w***e' and slammed the phone down on her when she attempted to reconnect with him. She fled the UK towards the end of last year and has been living in various countries - including Mexico and Canada - making adult content. Mia has just bought her first property in Mexico. She initially tried to distance herself from her well-known parents, opting to ditch her surname. ' I don't profit off of their name', she insists. Mia may be known as Mia Winward in the press, but goes by Mia Rose online. The Sun first told last year how Sammy, who is famed for playing Katie Sugden from 2001 to 2015 and is still a jobing actress, refused to speak to her daughter when she discovered she was on OnlyFans. Mia's dad — former Blackburn footballer David — also distanced himself at the same time. Mia was initially hopefully they could make it up, but over time the distance has become unbearable. She says her latest attempt to contact her mum just a few days ago was unsuccessful and Mia feels she has reached the end of the line. 'People online see me as spoiled and I'm not denying that I was materialistically spoiled but I won't have people say I'm a spoiled brat when no one knows that I was emotionally neglected," she says. Sammy has declined to comment.

Stereophonics star Kelly Jones ditches junk food and alcohol from tour rider
Stereophonics star Kelly Jones ditches junk food and alcohol from tour rider The Stereophonics frontman has confessed that he opts for healthier snacks backstage in order to make sure that his jeans still fit him Stereophonics will be playing in the UK this year. (Image: GETTY ) Kelly Jones no longer has junk food and alcohol in his tour rider. The Stereophonics frontman has confessed that he opts for healthier snacks backstage in order to make sure that his jeans still fit him. Speaking to The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column ahead of Stereophonics' headline slot at the Isle of Wight festival this weekend, Kelly said: "The Nineties were crazy – a totally different social situation. It's like another planet now. "I think there are some things on our rider that are still the same as back then – because nobody has bothered to change it. "There's always beer and wine. It used to be 12 boxes of pizza and a crate of lager. But when your jeans stop fitting you, you've got to get that right – those requests don't work at 50!" The Dakota artist revealed that the rockers now have gym equipment and organic food ready for them when they come off stage. Article continues below Kelly explained: "Let's say the takeaway order at the end of the night is a little more extravagant and healthier these days. "Now there's more gym gear backstage – that was definitely not there in the Nineties. "Like a weight bench and stuff. It sits there – it gathers clothes a lot. "We all still travel on the bus together, we all still go out for dinner together, we go for a drink after together. "Thankfully, we all get on – not every band does – and we've had the same crew for 25 years, so it's a family-orientated vibe." Meanwhile, Kelly revealed earlier this year that he turned down the chance to see a Stereophonics tribute band who have a lead singer called "Belly Jones". The Welsh rocker describes it as a privilege when people cover the band's music but chose not to attend a working men's club in his homeland to watch the tribute act over Easter. The 51-year-old musician told The Dave Berry Breakfast Show on Absolute Radio in April: "I wake up on Sunday mornings, and people send me clips of people at weddings and bars and pubs singing my stuff a lot. "And when I went home for Easter this weekend to see my family in Wales, my cousin said, 'Do you want to come up to the working man's club?' I said, 'Why? What's happening? And she said, 'There's a Stereophonics tribute band playing.'" Article continues below He continued: "I think the singer, he's a big guy, he's called Belly Jones. So I said, 'No'. My missus was like, 'No, let's go.' Take the kids, have a good night."

Big Brother star gave brutal review on Jeremy Clarkson's pub The Farmer's Dog
The Farmer's Dog, the pub owned by the former Top Gear star and located just a few miles from his Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire, has been swarmed with customers since appearing in the latest series of Clarkson's Farm Jeremy Clarkson's pub, the Farmer's Dog, has become a sensation since its appearance in the smash-hit Amazon Prime series Clarkson's Farm. The pub features prominently alongside Diddly Squat Farm in season four, which debuted three weeks ago and quickly captured the hearts of viewers. The on-screen exposure has triggered an influx of visitors to the Oxfordshire spot, all keen to taste the food, enjoy the ambiance, and maybe even rub shoulders with Clarkson himself. Among those drawn by curiosity was Big Brother star Henry Southan, who took a Father's Day trip to the venue. The influencer, who finished third in the reality show and commands a following of 183,000 on TikTok, was eager to see if the buzz about the pub lived up to expectations. Upon his arrival, Henry exclaimed on TikTok: "I've just got to Jeremy Clarkson's pub, the Farmer's Dog and got a reservation for lunch for my dad for Father's Day - it's like arriving at Glastonbury." He continued, bewildered: "I feel like I've arrived at like a musical festival, there is just so many people. Where are they all going to go? The pub can't be that big, surely. I'm very confused." Documenting his experience, he added: "This is the overflow car park, like I'm in a field far away from the pub and now I've got to trek to the pub. Even with a reservation it's absolutely wild." Henry voiced his concern about potentially missing his booking due to the unexpected hike and was equally surprised to encounter a queue at the entrance. "I tell you what this better the best roast I have ever eaten to justify the pain and the rigmarole that has gone into parking and everything," he declared. Yet, when it was time to critique the much-anticipated meal, his verdict was brutally blunt: "Really dry" was how Henry described the meat, with a particular thumbs-down for the pork. He concluded his succinct video review by stating: "Jeremy Clarkson's pub was... interesting." He was not the only patron left wanting more. Echoing the sentiment, an individual commented online: "I loved Clarkson's Farm and I love everything Jezza does for the farming community, but I wont lie when I visited the pub I was SO disappointed!". Another customer shared their dissatisfaction, saying: "We went on opening weekend and didn't even get to go in the actual pub. Watching the series I understand why now, but seriously sucks being part of the dramatic bits in the show when you've driven three hours and get no food." Yet some rushed to the pub's defence amidst the critique. One TikTok user put things into perspective by pointing out: "You booked... on Father's Day. Did you expect it to be dead? Did you expect the food to be like it would be if it wasn't over booked? Work in hospitality for a bit and then you'd actually be in the real world." Another voiced their thoughts with a dose of reality: "Really, did you think you were off to your local?" And yet another offered a tongue-in-cheek response: "Booked busiest restaurant in Britain right now - angry when busy?". Some customers have been dishing out advice for those planning a visit, suggesting they keep their hopes in check and make sure they've got plenty of time to spare. One customer remarked: "It's a pub, it's not Michelin starred, it's not famed for its food or its facilities so why expect it. It's only famous for the guy who owns it and the TV programme it appears on. People need to lower their expectations." Another visitor, who popped into the pub over the weekend, shared their experience: "I took my dad there for Father's Day. I went in the pub for a drink but didn't book for food, that burger from 'The Farmer's Puppy' burger van was possibly one of the best I've had in my life. 11/10 fantastic day out just get there early!".
