We've found 17 US stocks that are forecast to pay a dividend yield of over 6% next year. See the full list for free.
The return of Marriott's Luxury Dining Series across Asia Pacific aligns with their strategy to enhance customer experiences and leverage their well-regarded Marriott Bonvoy program. This initiative could further bolster customer loyalty and market penetration in the region, potentially impacting future revenue forecasts positively. However, recent macroeconomic uncertainties, particularly in the U.S. and China, may overshadow these efforts, posing challenges to Marriott's broader revenue and earnings expectations. Analysts continue to anticipate significant revenue growth, but these external factors could lead to adjustments in future forecasts.
Over a five-year period, Marriott International's total shareholder return, encompassing both share price appreciation and dividends, was 202.23%. This is significantly above the 1-year return for the US market, which stood at 12.4%, showcasing the company's long-term performance strength despite recent quarterly changes. However, over the past year, Marriott underperformed the broader US Hospitality industry, which achieved a 17.6% return. This suggests that while Marriott has experienced considerable long-term gains, recent performance has been less robust relative to industry peers.
With the company's shares recently priced at US$251.96, they remain slightly below the consensus analyst price target of US$271.87. The present valuation reflects a potential upside of 7.3%, indicating analysts believe the current price may present a reasonable opportunity for appreciation, assuming earnings and revenue growth forecasts align with expectations. However, investors should weigh this price movement in the context of the discussed macroeconomic challenges and consider monitoring any developments that may affect future performance relative to industry trends.

Rebranding: Intel Stock (NASDAQ:INTC) Slips as Multiple Chip Rebrands Emerge
Rebrand; that was the word of the day at chip stock Intel (INTC) as news of multiple rebranded chips emerged. Whether it was a line heading to China for export or a line without such tight geographic focus, 'rebrand' was the phrase that paid. Unfortunately, Intel investors did not much care for the branding shuffle, and sent Intel shares sliding over 3% in Monday afternoon's trading. Elevate Your Investing Strategy: Take advantage of TipRanks Premium at 50% off! Unlock powerful investing tools, advanced data, and expert analyst insights to help you invest with confidence. First came word about the Granite Rapids line, which got a bit of a redesign and rebrand for the Chinese market. Montage Technology rolled out the new Jintide C6P line of processors for servers. Based on the Generation Xeon Scalable line, Montage set up a deal with Intel back in 2016 to reconfigure Intel processors, and to pack in new features as needed to be sold in the market. In this case, that means significant new security features, reports note. In particular, the chips will include a line of data encryption algorithms as well as decryption algorithms as well as some key 'surveillance features.' Given that the chips in question are likely to become part of Chinese government operations, as well as financial operations and healthcare markets, having these features built in might be a good play. Bartlett Lake May Get Third Rebrand Meanwhile, the Bartlett Lake line may see another rebrand itself, its third so far, according to reports. The Bartlett Lake line gave birth to the Bartlett Lake-S line, and may ultimately end up as 'Bartlett Lake Hybrid.' In fact, reports note Intel is planning to incorporate both Raptor Lake and Alder Lake chips into the Bartlett Lake generation, declaring the whole match Bartlett Lake Hybrid. Intel will be moving the Bartlett Lake-S line to the Core 2 series, reports note, and this particular line will not have the 'Ultra' brand extension added on. This might sound a bit like shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic, but there is generally something to be said for having the metaphorical t's crossed and i's dotted. Is Intel a Buy, Hold or Sell? Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Hold consensus rating on INTC stock based on one Buy, 26 Holds and three Sells assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 14.13% rally in its share price over the past year, the average INTC price target of $22.24 per share implies 6.63% downside risk. Disclosure

In recent years, technology has been a major global investment hotspot. Wall Street investment banks have been researching and forecasting specific areas within this field. For example, a Morgan Stanley report this year predicts that the global humanoid robot market could reach $5 trillion by 2050. This projection includes the industry's related supply chain, as well as maintenance, repair, and support services. Morgan Stanley estimates that by 2050, there could be over 1 billion humanoid robots in use worldwide. In terms of usage scenarios, Morgan Stanley expects that by 2050, about 90% of humanoid robots will primarily serve industrial and commercial sectors, performing repetitive, simple, and structured tasks. Among these, China is projected to become the country with the highest number of humanoid robots in use, exceeding 300 million units, while the U.S. is expected to have around 77.7 million units. In contrast, Morgan Stanley's forecast for the household market is more conservative, estimating that the total number of humanoid robots entering homes by 2050 will be around 80 million. Analysis points out that for humanoid robots to truly enter households, breakthroughs in both hardware and AI models are needed, a process that may take around a decade. Additionally, prices must drop significantly, and societal and regulatory acceptance must also improve. Another critical aspect in the tech sector is the ongoing fierce competition in the AI race. Overnight, Bloomberg cited sources familiar with the matter, reporting that Apple is planning to re-energize its efforts in the AI space, with a slate of new products in the pipeline. It is reported that a desktop robot, designed to serve as a virtual companion, is considered the centerpiece of Apple's AI strategy, with a target launch in 2027. Additionally, a smart speaker with a display is expected to debut next year, aiming to capture the entry-level smart home market. Finally, Apple may also focus on home security cameras, hoping to enhance user engagement within its product ecosystem. Following the news, Apple's stock price rose, closing up 1.6% overnight. Apple isn't alone—several global tech giants continue to heavily invest in artificial intelligence. Recently, Microsoft announced a record-breaking capital expenditure of $24.2 billion in its quarterly earnings report, a 27% year-on-year increase. Microsoft also plans to further increase its investment to $30 billion this quarter to expand its AI data centers. Additionally, Meta (Facebook's parent company) and Alphabet (Google's parent company) have recently raised their capital expenditure targets for the year. However, the market is now beginning to focus on a significant risk: the issue of concentration. Funds are increasingly being concentrated in the hands of a few tech giants. Analysis points out that among the top 10 stocks in the S&P 500 index, most are tech stocks, accounting for 40% of the total market capitalization and contributing 33% of the profits. "When we think about portfolio construction. We want to make sure that we have a diversified concentration is scary, and it's all around AI..."
