Brittany Hockley reveals awkward wedding vow blunder after marrying Swiss footballer Ben Siegrist in Bali

Daily Mail2 days ago

Brittany Hockley has opened up about the hilarious blunder she made while rehearsing her wedding vows with her Swiss footballer fiancé Ben Siegrist.
The former Bachelor star, 37, revealed on the Life Uncut podcast that she tried to speak her vows in German to surprise her European partner - but did not do a very good job.
'I learned my vows in German, so I could surprise Ben at the end of the aisle... It wasn't supposed to be comedy, but Ben found it very funny,' Brittany began.
Ben, 33, jumped in to reveal what Brittany's mangled vows, during a practice run, actually meant in German.
'She said, "I love you, tit fish",' he revealed.
'I almost said, "I love you, big tit fish!" Brittany added.
Fortunately, Brittany's mishap only occurred during a rehearsal and the actual ceremony went off without a hitch.
It comes after Brittany married her Swiss footballer fiancé Ben Siegrist during a 'three-day extravaganza' clifftop ceremony in Bali last week.
But there was just one 'minor technical detail' about the spectacular nuptials - the marriage is not legal.
Brittany revealed the shock news to her KIIS FM's The Pick Up listeners on Tuesday.
'You just got married in Bali,' Brittany's long-time best friend and co-host Laura Byrne said.
'We obviously can talk about how amazing that is, but now that we're here, we're also going to talk about how it's not legally binding yet.'
'It's a big show really,' the bride admitted, joking that the wedding 'was fake'.
The former Bachelor star revealed on the Life Uncut podcast that she tried to speak her vows in German - but did not do a very good job
'It's complicated. My husband Ben is fully Swiss, but he lives in Italy. I'm Australian and we got married in Bali. Way too many technicalities going on to make it legal, so we are just going to legally do it back here in Australia.
'The paperwork gets signed shortly - but let's not focus on that.'
The couple's wedding took place at Pandawa Cliff Estate, which promises a 'dramatic and romantic clifftop setting overlooking the Indian Ocean' and stunning views of Bali's Bukit Peninsula.
The 37-year-old was ever the blushing bride on her big day, walking down the aisle in a strapless dress by Steven Khalil which featured a lace corset with dramatic long train.
Brittany and Ben gave followers a glimpse into the nuptials, sharing a duo of loved-up snaps from the big day to Instagram.
One showed Ben romantically embracing his new bride as he leaned in for a newlywed kiss.
'From the very first day, it was you,' Brittany captioned the images.
'Across any ocean, it is you. For the rest of our lives, it will always be you. Mr and Mrs Siegrist 4.6.2025,' she added, augmenting the sentiment with love heart emojis.
The Life Uncut podcast announced Brittany's engagement to Ben last year.
Brittany, who formerly described herself as 'the perpetually single host', had been dating Ben long-distance for eight months when he popped the question.
The duo met in November 2022 on the celebrity dating app Raya.
At the time the goalkeeper's soccer team, the Glasgow-based Celtic FC, was playing in Australia against Sydney FC.

Olivia Attwood treated to huge bouquet of roses and a £175 Labubu doll by husband Bradley Dack as couple celebrate their second wedding anniversary

Olivia Attwood was treated to a huge bouquet of roses by her husband Bradley Dack as the smitten couple celebrated two years of marriage. Having dated before the TV presenter, 34, entered the Love Island villa in 2015, Olivia rekindled her romance with the footballer, 31, in 2018. Within a year Gillingham midfielder Bradley got down on one knee to propose in Dubai and - after a number of delays - the couple at last tied the knot in June 2023. Olivia and Bradley are now celebrating their second anniversary, with the footballer surprising his wife with a bouquet of flowers and a £175 Labubu doll. Sharing photos to her Instagram, the ITV presenter seemed chuffed with her gifts as she sported a casual look with her hood pulled up. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Just a matter of weeks ago, Bradley and Olivia proved their spark is still very much alive during a loved-up getaway across the pond. The smitten couple were snapped packing on the PDA as they enjoyed a day on Miami Beach earlier this month. With Olivia sporting a skimpy baby blue bikini, she and Bradley couldn't keep their hands off each other while lounging on a sunbed after they flew away to the Florida city for Swim Week. But while the couple's relationship seems almost idyllic, Olivia this week opened up about struggling to balance her work and her marriage in a new interview. The TV personality has been highly sought after in recent times, with Olivia juggling filming the second series of her show Bad Boyfriends with her role as a panellist on Loose Women. She told Heat magazine: 'It's difficult I'm not going to lie. We've just had a nice few weeks - he came out to visit me on set. 'We'll have a little holiday together in a couple of weeks. 'When we are together we make that time valuable, which I think you end up doing when you have less time together because you know you can't take it for granted.' In the interview Olivia also spoke about how she is 'more careful' about having cosmetic surgery since filming The Price of Perfection. The 34-year-old TV personality has undergone a range of procedures since she was in her 20s, including breast augmentation and reduction, Botox and fillers. But doing her ITV1 beauty docuseries has given Olivia an 'awakening' in what she has put her body through over the years. In an interview with Heat magazine, the star explained: 'Being on the other side of things was an awakening because it made me understand these procedures are major surgeries.' The former Love Island contestant has ruled out becoming a cosmetic surgeon or an aesthetics provider because it is out of her 'intellectual remit'. Olivia also admitted she was 'naïve' about how weight-loss injections can affect people, but she got an understanding of how the jabs work in the new series of The Price of Perfection. And Olivia has never been tempted to use weight-loss injections because she wants more curves on her body.

Brittany Hockley left heartbroken by 'burned pizza' wedding cake after paying $1,000 for culinary eyesore: 'We ordered from a French patisserie... and got Temu'

Brittany Hockley has been left broken-hearted after she shelled out $1,000 for a lavish wedding cake - only to be delivered a culinary disaster. The former Bachelor star, 37, married Swiss footballer Ben Siegrist in a clifftop ceremony in Bali last week. While Brittany's nuptials went off without a hitch, the genetically blessed couple were left red-faced at the reception when they came face to face with their 'Temu' sponge that looked like a 'four-stacked pizza'. On Wednesday, Brittany shared an image of the ornate sponge she ordered, complete with piped dollops of rich white cream and a vibrant topping of fresh berries, and an image of what was delivered to illustrate her heartache. Instead of the berry-laden showstopper she hoped for, the final product resembled 'four burned pizzas slapped together' - dull, brown, and uninspired. The disappointing dessert left Brittany and her guests in shock. Brittany's co-host Laura Byrne did not hold back when describing the disaster on their Life Uncut podcast. 'I kid you not, this cake looked like a four-stacked pizza,' she began. 'It looked like someone had gotten four humongous supreme pizzas and layered them on top of each other,' she continued. 'It was covered in little cut-up strawberries which looked like tomatoes!' 'It was like we went to a French patisserie... and got Temu!' added Brittany. 'We tried to cut it, but it was so burned it just crumbled everywhere.' The presenter added she was so horrified by the cake she pleaded with guests not to take any photos of it. The couple's wedding took place last week at Pandawa Cliff Estate, which promises a 'dramatic and romantic clifftop setting overlooking the Indian Ocean' and stunning views of Bali's Bukit Peninsula. Brittany was ever the blushing bride on her big day, walking down the aisle in a strapless dress by Steven Khalil which featured a lace corset with dramatic long train.
