Lena Dunham packs on the PDA with her husband Luis Felber at Too Much screening - after admitting she 'doesn't trust herself' in the marriage

Daily Mail25-06-2025
Lena Dunham packed on the PDA with her husband Luis Felber at the UK special screening for her new Netflix series Too Much at the Barbican Centre on Monday night.
The actress, 39, cut a glamorous figure in a one-shoulder red gown as she planted a kiss on her partner.
It comes after earlier this month she admitted that she 'doesn't trust herself' in her marriage as she reflected on her tumultuous dating history.
At the screening she looked great in the bright number which had a long silk skirt and was accessorised with sparkling silver jewellery.
Meanwhile musician Luis, 39, cut a dapper figure in a black suit and bow tie as he supported his wife of four years.
Later Lena took part in a Q&A hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan where she spoke about the series being made by the same producers from Bridget Jones.
Katherine said: 'This show comes from the same producers who gave us Bridget Jones's Diary - an iconic story about. We've reclaimed it now but she was lovable, she was a messy.
'You know we're from a toxic generation yes...'
Lena then replied: 'Oh we really are and she had that skirt that wouldn't fit over her big pants even though looking back she was really thin. That's not a knock on I mean it's one of the most important films of my life.
'It's just an interesting thing when you realize that this character who you thought like that's what it is to be a loose complicated woman and you're like who hasn't worn big pants and had sex with two guys in a week!'
The screening comes after earlier this month Lena admitted she 'doesn't trust herself' in her marriage as she reflected on her tumultuous dating history.
The Girls star wed musician Luis in 2021 and wrote an essay for Vogue ahead of the release of the semi-autobiographical Netflix series Too Much.
She mused: 'You really never know when you're having your last affair.
'Some of us hope that every frog we kiss is our happy ending, while others stand hand in hand with their soulmate, still terrified of the vista narrowing, the buffet running out, closing time.
'Even now, I can't be sure. It's not that I don't trust my husband or our life – I do, very much. It's that at some point along the way, wrecking myself again and again on the rocky shores of male attention, I stopped trusting myself.'
Lena went on to detail her 'boy crazy' past as she reflected on her two-week relationship with a man called Craig, whom she developed strong feelings for, that were not reciprocated.
Their relationship fizzled out when Lena moved to London for work and it was then that she met Luis in January 2021 on a blind date after being set up by friends.
Less than a year later, they had tied the knot in September 2021.
Lena previously dated musician Jack Antonoff. They were together for five years from 2012 to 2017 before their split, which was described as 'amicable.'
Lena had spoken about her heartbreak in an essay for Vogue in May 2018: 'We sat in our shared kitchen of nearly four years and quietly faced each other, acknowledging what nobody wanted to say,' she began.
'That obsessive connection had turned to blind devotion, and the blinders were coming off to reveal that we had evolved separately (the least shocking reason of all and perhaps the most common),' a second excerpt read.
Following her split from boyfriend Jack, Lena revealed she was briefly engaged to an unnamed man, after he 'proposed with the lace of a Timbaland boot while they were snowed in at her parents' apartment.'
Lena's new 10-part rom-com, Too Much, follows a New Yorker (Megan Stalter) who heads to London in the wake of a breakup - much like she did herself - and is co-produced by Luis.
She previously explained why she cast Stalter instead of herself in her semi-autobiographical series.
'I was not willing to have another experience like what I'd experienced around [my HBO series Girls] at this point in my life,' the producer-star explained to the New Yorker.
'Physically, I was just not up for having my body dissected again. It was a hard choice, not to cast Meg — because I knew I wanted Meg — but to admit that to myself.
'I used to think that winning meant you just keep doing it and you don't care what anybody thinks. I forgot that winning is actually just protecting yourself and doing what you need to do to keep making work.'
Lena continued: 'I remember looking at Meg and being, like, 'You are my muse. You inspire me every single day to go home and tap out pages upon pages.' I definitely don't want to be my own muse.'
She gushed over how 'inspiring and unbelievably talented' the Hacks star is as her thinly veiled character Jessica, who falls in love with a British musician called Felix (Will Sharpe) after moving from New York to North London.

Jack Osbourne shares fond memory of late father Ozzy and reveals why professional chefs never lasted long in their family home as he returns to TV in Cooking With The Stars - three days after Black Sabbath legend's funeral

Jack Osbourne returned to mainstream TV on Sunday evening, just days after his father Ozzy's funeral service in Buckinghamshire. The reality star was joined by his devastated family for the private service at Welders House, Ozzy and wife Sharon's sprawling home in rural Jordans, on August 31. Returning to TV with an appearance on ITV1 show Cooking With The Stars on Sunday evening, Jack shared a fond anecdote about his father while attempting to impress judges with his culinary skills. In scenes filmed before Ozzy's death, Jack, 39, recalled growing up in a household where professional chefs would occasionally be employed to prepare the family meals. 'I grew up on potato waffles until we moved to America,' he recalled. 'We would get take out all the time a part from times when we had a chef. 'We'd get through them all the time because we were a family of really picky eaters and my dad would think that he could cook it better.' During a 2005 episode of Gordon Ramsey's reality series The F Word, Ozzy shared in an interview that he considers his wife Sharon the 'worst cook on the face of the Earth.' He joked that Sharon 'couldn't even make a piece of toast without burning it.' In the episode, she admitted that she had to keep the instructions for her home oven 'taped to the side of it' because she used it so rarely. She also joked that Ozzy would 'hide his booze' in the oven at the height of his struggles with substance use because he knew she was unlikely to ever open it. Ramsey showed Sharon how to cook a tasty lamb chop with mint — a favourite of Ozzy's — and when she asked for a solid side dish to accompany it he suggested mashed potatoes. When the celebrity chef asked Sharon if she knew how to make the simple dish, she jokingly responded: 'Yeah, you get powder and you pour boiling water in it.' Ozzy, nicknamed the Prince of Darkness, died on July 22 at the age of 76 just weeks after he took to the stage for his final show with Black Sabbath, with his family confirming the devastating news. His private funeral took place on Friday with the heavy metal icon being being buried in the grounds of his own mansion in Buckinghamshire - as he had said he desired. 'We'd get through chefs all the time because we were a family of really picky eaters and my dad would think that he could cook it better,' he said Ozzy's private funeral took place on Friday with the heavy metal icon being being buried in the grounds of his own mansion in Buckinghamshire - as he had said he desired Ozzy's widow Sharon, 72, and their children were joined by heavy rock royalty at the family's sprawling 250-acre estate near Gerrards Cross. Guests also included Manson's wife Lindsay Usich and Ozzy's lead guitarist Zakk Wylde. A huge floral tribute in the grounds of the mansion spells out an affectionate tribute to the heavy metal legend, with the words, 'OZZY F***ING OSBOURNE', on the banks of the Osbourne lake. A version of a floral 'Ozzy' tribute that featured at the memorial procession was also placed atop a fountain. It followed a funeral procession attended by thousands of fans through Birmingham city centre on Wednesday.

Love Island's Uma hits back at cruel troll who tells her to use fat jabs before her wedding

UMA Jammeh has had the perfect response to a troll who told her to "go on Ozempic before her wedding". The Love Island star announced in mid-July that she was engaged to Wil Anderson a year after they met on the show. 5 5 But while most people filled the pair's feed with congratulations and loving messages, one bitter commenter decided to try and bring her down, telling her "Go on Ozempic b4 your wedding". Rather than let it get her down, stunning Uma knew exactly how to respond – with a perfectly timed TikTok video basically telling them to shut up. Strutting her stuff on a hotel rooftop overlooking the sea, Uma put on her most stunning cream dress as she posed and blew a kiss to the camera. She then lipsynced a quote from Oscar-winning movie Anora and declared: "Stay jealous, honey. Jealousy is a disease, remember that, Diamond!" In the caption, Uma wrote: "Thankyou for giving me the perfect excuse to use this sound 😝" Her Love Island pals loved the clapback, with Millie Court writing: "u tell em girl !!!!!! you are quite literally the definition of perfection !!!!" Matilda Draper wrote: 'OBSESSED WITH U" later adding, "Deluded peopleeee" Influencer Amy Reddish also weighed in and said: "What the f**k are people ok !! You are absolutely incredible !! 🔥🔥" "Imagine being the most beautiful woman to grace Love Island and you still get comments like this ☠️" added a fan. The sweet support clearly meant a lot to Uma, who later added in teh comments: "Thank you for all the lovely comments guys and don't worry I would never listen stuff like this I just thought it was a slay video ☺️😝🥰💕" Love Island beauty Uma Jammeh lands huge new six-figure job to rival Maya Jama a year after leaving the villa Uma and Wil announced their engagement on July 14, with Wil getting down on one knee during a romantic getaway to Palma de Mallorca in Spain. Mallorca is where the Love Island villa is located, so holds special meaning to them. Wil shared photos of the romantic, beachside proposal – which came complete with candles, flowers and rose petal scattered around a cosy nook. Making the announcement days later, Uma's diamond ring was sparkling as she posed in a chartreuse-coloured halter-neck dress. 5

Where all the forgotten Love Island finalists are now after they failed to cling onto fame and fortune after ITV2 show

WHILST reaching the Love Island final might seem like a golden ticket to fame and fortune and an endless career in the spotlight, things don't always go quite to plan for the Islanders. Despite most of the show's finalists going on to enjoy successful careers, including some as A-listers and multi-millionaires, for an unlucky few, they plunged back into obscurity just months after their time in the spotlight. 8 8 Whilst many dream of the seven-figure deals that roll in for icons including Molly-Mae Hague, Ekin-Su and Maura Higgins - a handful of Islanders haven't been so fortunate. As another four couples head into this Monday's Love Island final, will they be set for life or will one or two of them fall victim to the curse of disappearing from relevancy like these stars. The Sun has compiled a list of the famous finalists who failed to strike it big and make an impact after their summer of love in the spotlight. Paul Knops 8 Hunky model Paul was already well on the way to making a name for himself after becoming one of the world's most in-demand male models. He was even chosen to be Britney Spears ' love interest for her racy 2016 music video, Make Me..., which saw him getting hot and heavy with the star. So when Paul strutted into the Love Island villa as a late entrant in 2018, it seemed like a no-brainer that he was on track to become a top star. Paul coupled up with fan favourite Laura Anderson after her split from Wes Nelson. Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham. But the pair quickly split up after Majorca and whilst Laura remained in the headlines and on TV screens, Paul's star faded just as quick as his time in the villa. Whilst his looks haven't faded, it seems the handsome fella prefers living a quieter life away from the hustle and bustle of influencer life. Love Island exes Laura Anderson and Paul Knops agree to move on in Christmas Reunion heart-to-heart Paul still models and his Instagram shows him picture perfect at all times with his new long-haired locks. Lana Jenkins 8 When blonde stunner Lana was revealed to be an Islander on series nine of the show in 2023, she seemed like a ready made celebrity. She quickly found herself besotted with partner Ron Hall and they managed to make it all the way to second place in the villa. But despite Lana aligning herself with the same team behind Olivia Attwood, she failed to make a dent in the entertainment industry after her time on the show. Despite the expectation of big brand deals, Lana's commercial work was limited and it wasn't long until her romance with co-star Ron also crumbled at the same time her career stalled. Although she failed to hit the big time, Lana still boasts 500,000 fans on Instagram and shows off glam snaps from her plush travels around the world. She also runs her own home Instagram account to show off her passion for interior design. Josh Oyinsan 8 Despite only winning the show last summer alongside then-partner, Mimii Ngulube, Josh struggled to translate his win into a long-lasting media career. When Josh and Mimii quickly split following their win, interest in the couple wavered and Josh failed to land any major gigs despite being crowned a champion. Whilst Josh has managed to land a number of paid partnerships on Instagram after the show, it pales in comparison to some of the brand deals landed by his counterparts. His passion for wellness and advocating for the mental health of young athletes has been commendable however and earned him a legion of support. Ched Uzor 8 Series six Islander Ched was another star whose place in the final did not guarantee a lengthy career afterwards. He found himself in a relationship with Jess Gale and the loveable pair managed to make it to fourth place on the programme. But their love did not prevail and they called it quits shortly after the show. Ched then found his own career disrupted by the Covid pandemic and he failed to land any big-money gigs. However, despite turning his back on fame, Ched has managed to carve out an online fitness business. Known for his impressive figure and muscly body, Ched has put this to use by helping his followers get in shape and achieve a dream body like his. Titled Shred with Ched, he has launched the app to become an instant personal trainer to people up and down the country. Some of the services that Ched offers includes one-to-one coaching as well as personally curated nutrition and workout plans for each client. Tanya Manhenga 8 Like her co-star Lana, Tanya hoped that her time on series nine of Love Island would turn her into a money-spinning star. However, the reality was very different. After finishing in fourth place with then-boyfriend, Shaq Muhammad, Tanya struggled to replicate the success of the ladies who came before her after failing to couple up with a big-money fashion brand. These days, Tanya is living a single life after splitting with Shaq and enjoys a jet-setting lifestyle. Helping her travelling habit is her latest venture titled Grooves with TT. It is Tanya's own touring club night featuring exclusively Amapiano music. The star held her first club night in Manchester earlier this year with plans for an event in London next month before taking it across Europe. She also kept her post-villa income topped up with her own wig business, called Tay Slay Wigs. Lauren Richardson 8 Lauren managed to make it all the way to the final of Love Island back in 2015. Despite being coupled up with Josh Ritchie, that didn't help her when it came to securing a top career. Whilst Josh has been a TV regular and shot to even greater fame thanks to his romance with Charlotte Crosby, Lauren quickly faded into obscurity. Heavily tattooed Lauren is worlds away from the typical Islander, with her Instagram feed showing a much more demure and laid-back life in comparison to the glitz and glam of the usual crop of ITV2 stars. Lauren hasn't updated her feed since 2021 and chooses to keep her life out of the spotlight.
