OPENING DAY What Irish TV channel is Wolves vs Man City on? Kick-off time, live stream, team news and odds for Premier League clash
MANCHESTER CITY kick off their pursuit of the Premier League title when they face Wolves this weekend.
Pep Guardiola's men are aiming to reclaim the crown that they lost to Liverpool last season, having won it the previous four years in a row.
Here is everything you need to know about the match.
When is it on and what time is kick-off?
Wolves vs Manchester City takes place at the Molineux on Saturday, June 16.
Kick-off is at 5:30pm and rounds out the first Saturday of the new season.
It also bookends the first full day of TV matches, with Aston Villa vs Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur vs Burnley also being televised.
Where can I watch it?
The game is being shown on Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage getting underway at 5pm.
Those seeking to stream the game can do so through a subscription to NowTV.
What is the latest team news?
Pep Guardiola said City will be without Josko Gvardiol and Savinho at Wolves on Saturday.
Croatian defender Gvardiol joins compatriot Mateo Kovacic on the sidelines, who Guardiola last week said will likely be unavailable until September.
Meanwhile, Savinho is set to miss out after picking up an injury in last week's pre-season trip to Palermo.
However, he expects Phil Foden and Rodri, who both also sat out the game in Sicily, to travel for the game.
As for Wolves, Vitor Pereira revealed Yerson Mosquera is fit enough to feature in the squad but not start against Man City.
David Moller Wolfe, who played his first 45 minutes for Wolves against Celta Vigo last weekend, is ready for a competitive debut.
Fer Lopez and Jhon Arias also in line for their bows, while, Fabio Silva is still working his way back to fitness and won't feature.
What are the odds?
Man City are valued at 8/15 to pick up the three points, while Wolves are out to 13/2.
The draw is priced at 4/1.
What has been said in the build-up?
Pep Guardiola has been boosted by the return of Rodri - but insisted he won't rush him back.
The Ballon d'Or winner suffered a serious knee injury last September and made one cameo at the end of the last Premier League season.
His boss said: 'It's a difficult injury because they say that the year after, you always have some muscular problems, so we try desperately to avoid it but it's difficult to know exactly how many games and minutes he needs.
'He's desperate to play. We need his ambition, his personality, quality. He was named last season the best player in the world.
'That's why it's really important to have him back. To see him back in the locker room made me smile, he's so close.
'He's close to coming back for a few minutes then take one day rest. To read that is what is the most difficult to know what's best for him.'
