Fake tan 'genius' way to make it last longer and one sells every 20 seconds
With the sunshine beating down more regularly, thanks to the heatwave, achieving a radiant, sun-kissed look tops many people's summer beauty to-do list, especially for those who have upcoming social engagements.
However, while we all yearn for that golden glow, it's equally crucial to shield ourselves from the sun's damaging rays. Its why fake tan and SPF-infused body oils are popular - and safe - choices for beauty fans and, if heading off on holiday, one of the savviest pre-holiday purchases you can make.
Coco&Eve has been a high-flying name in the fake-tan industry, providing unreal results since 2018, with the brand's much-loved Sunny Honey Bali Bronzing Foam (£26) selling like hotcakes - one every 20 seconds. Now, the brand has taken things up a notch with its latest offering: the Tan Boosting Anti-Ageing Body Oil SPF50 (£29).
'Life changing' curl cream that tames frizz in hot weather creates 'forever fans'
9 fashion and beauty buys on our weekend wishlist including River Island's linen trousers
This potent oil is hardworking and has been designed to do everything - nourish skin with anti-ageing properties, guard against UVA/UBV rays with high SPF50 coverage, and enhance your natural tan whilst helping prolong it.
The lightweight, non-greasy formula is perfect for topping up colour whilst keeping skin protected and silky smooth whilst on your trip. Plus, it's fragranced with sweet pear, creamy almond, coconut and mango.
This body oil delivers sun protection and works to boost the depth of your natural tan for a radiant glow.
When it comes to holiday prep, most of us hate feeling pasty and pale, especially at the thought of squeezing into a swimsuit. We suggest applying the Bali Bronzing Foam or the Sun-Kissed Gradual Tan Lotion a few days before your getaway to give a natural, sun-kissed glow that'll certainly boost confidence.
Once your tan has developed, use the Body Oil daily to hydrate skin and maintain that fresh-from-the-beach look. It'll help extend the life of your tan while giving skin a glossy, healthy sheen.
If you fancy a bit of sun-worshipping, make sure to slather on the oil liberally before catching rays as it's filled with SPF50. And remember, after basking in the glorious sunshine, top off your skin care with a calming after-sun or some cooling aloe vera gel.
With summer in our midst, now is a good time to stock up on sun-protection and thankfully, there's a whole host of other SPF-infused body oils out there ready to enhance your lustre. Take NUXE's Sun Tanning Oil for £24, brimming with plant extracts and vitamin E for that smooth, glowing skin, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Alternatively, the Fox Tan Rapid Elixir comes with glowing endorsements from Fashion and Beauty Editor Rachel Pugh. Marked down to just £19.99 from its usual £24.99 at Look Fantastic, this potion is crafted to prime your skin for sun exposure and is perfect for daily use or a three to five-day period leading up to your sunny escape.
Despite being new, this innovative Coco&Eve Body Oil is quickly garnering reviews as glowy as its tan. One fan raved: "It's a miracle that I got a tan without burning. I like how this oil is hydrating; it left my skin feeling silky smooth.
"It comes in a nice scent, and with the pump applicator, there is more control over the product, and it doesn't spray everywhere. I will reach for it in the future for my time in the sun."
Someone else showered the tan oil in praise and said: "It gave my skin a beautiful glow without feeling greasy. It's incredibly hydrating, perfect for my ageing skin, and the added sun protection is a bonus. A new staple in my skincare routine."
So far, nobody has given it a poor rating aside from one shopper who warned that, after continuous use over three days, the SPF30 option led to a 'heat rash'.
That being said, a devotee of the SPF50 version shared: "I'm someone who burns easily and always has a coat of self-tan on. This is the only oil that doesn't make me burn or ruin my self-tan. Most oils make my self-tan separate, but this doesn't affect it at all."
They continued: "I love how it keeps me protected while allowing me to get a tan. It smells amazing and absorbs fast, leaving a hydrated, glow finish with no residue. I have finally found my dream product."
The Sunny Honey Tan Boosting Anti-Aging Body Oil SPF50 is available at Coco & Eve for £29.

Woman, 86, 'stuck' in Turkey after holiday turns to nightmare Amaya Harrison is pleading for people to 'help us bring Nan home' Catherine Harrison and her granddaughter Joanne (Image: MEN ) A grandmother from the UK is stuck in Turkey after her holiday turned into a nightmare. Catherine Harrison, 86, was just two days into a family stay in Antalya when she suffered a fall in the shower, fracturing her back. The fall left Catherine in excruciating pain for several days before her family decided to take her to a private hospital. Her great-granddaughter, Amaya Harrison, told the Manchester Evening News: "She fell and landed on her back. "My mum and her partner were there at the time and they brought her back into her bedroom and tried to put cold ice packs and cold sprays. She was bed bound for three days so we had to send her to a hospital that was recommended by the hotel we were staying at. Catherine Harrison in a hospital bed in Turkey (Image: MEN ) "She's not really been able to talk because she's been crying in pain. She's been telling us not to worry or stress, but I know she's the one that is stressing." Amaya said there were issues with Catherine's care at the initial ward, but she has since been moved. The 21-year-old added: "They are trying to feed her, going out and finding her food so hopefully it'll be okay. While Amaya, her siblings, and her mother's partner have returned to Manchester, her mother Joanne remains in Turkey with Catherine, who is still in hospital. Despite reaching out to insurance companies, the family hasn't received much "help or advice", Amaya said. Amaya Harrison and her great great grandmother, Catherine Harrison (Image: MEN ) Now, the family is attempting to raise £56,000 to get Catherine back home to Manchester. Amaya said: "They're saying it's going to cost us £56,000 to get her home because she can't fly a normal commercial flight. "She has to be on a stretcher because she has to lay flat. She also needs a doctor because my Nana has loads of other healthcare conditions and it's a high risk for her to come home. "My mum is beating herself up because she can't be at home and she can't get Nana home. It's one of those hard, hard situations that we're trying to go through. We have quite a big family and my Nana is at the centre of it. "She was the youngest of five children and she's the only one left. A lot of us are panicking here in Manchester, trying to scrape pennies together to get her home. It has been hard, especially to my younger siblings, they don't really understand the severity of the situation as of yet. Article continues below "We're really just trying to get it together." Boots' 'summer holiday' perfume slashed to £10 in big online sale
Boots shoppers are swiftly grabbing 'summer in a bottle' perfumes, now reduced to a mere £10 apiece amid an extensive online clearance. While £10 perfumes may make you think of small, non-branded bottles, these are quite the opposite, as they're large ones from a well-known design house. Available on the Boots website, this fragrance assortment encompasses everything from daily spritzes to more audacious cornerstone scents. And up until the 17th June, they're all discounted, with prices kicking off at £10. One fragrance, Comfy Vibes, originally priced at £23, is now available for only £10 and is attracting glowing testimonials: This shopper remarked: "This scent is the perfect transition perfume from winter to hot weather. It's such a light, fresh scent with a hint of the summer holiday. The perfume strength is strong but not overpowering. The package is so sleek and cute, screaming summer and fun." Adidas describes Comfy Vibes as a soothing and warm fragrance which melds vanilla and mandarin with a splash of orange essential oil, creating a sweet yet appropriately summery aura. It's spot-on for those seeking a daily fragrance or wishing to mix it with something richer for nocturnal escapades. For those pondering Father's Day options, Full Recharge might claim your attention, now available for £16 (down from £23). This concoction marries the earthiness of basil and sage with vivifying cedar lead tones for a scent that evokes athleticism and vitality without excessive piquancy, reports the Manchester Evening News. Housed in eye-catching gradient bottles, the perfumes evoke a summer vibe, with options such as the coastal-inspired Chill Zone and the ocean-hued Energy Drive, now available for £16 and £10, respectively, down from their original £23 price tag. If you're looking for more affordable perfume deals, there are plenty out there - including lots of options for Father's Day. The Perfume Shop often offers decent sales on a wide range of products, from Tommy Hilfiger to Diesel. Superdrug also has some great offers right now. That includes significant discounts on Hugo Boss' Bottled Night, now £52 from £119, and Carolina Herrera's 212 VIP Men Black, which is reduced to £32 from £55. Regarding Adidas' perfumes, reviews highlight their appealing qualities. One reviewer praised Comfy Vibe, saying: "I love this Adidas scent. It's strong, and it lasts the whole day. It's good value for money if you compare it to other expensive brands, and the packaging is cute, too." However, another user noted: "I love how light and pleasant it feels on the skin. However, the downside is that the fragrance doesn't last very long." A third reviewer appreciated the scent, saying: "This scent is the perfect transition perfume from summer to autumn. It's such a warm, cosy scent with a hint of summer. The perfume strength is strong but not overpowering. "The package is so sleek and cute and is autumn and summer merged. I will buy it again." One satisfied customer commented: "I have been using this for a while now, and I am a big fan - it smells so good and is extremely versatile. I find it 100% suitable for everyone as it has an invigorating fresh scent that takes me back to nature and greenery." However, another buyer was less enthusiastic, stating: "It was a lovely smelling spray, but it wasn't strong enough to have people around me notice." In contrast, a third reviewer raved about the product: "This is such an amazing aftershave. It's perfect for my dad! It has a nice, strong scent and is great for use on the go! The smell lasts long and comes in a nice bottle! The price for this is amazing, and I will be purchasing again soon."
