Her Fitness Routine
If you're in need of some fitness inspiration, actor Surbhi Chandna might be just the motivation you're looking for. Known for her breakout role in Ishqbaaaz, Surbhi underwent a physical transformation to prepare for her lead role in the hit TV series Naagin 5 . In a recent interview with The Times of India (TOI), the Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor opened up about how she shed the extra weight—without relying on a gym routine. She said, "I had to say bye-bye to all the happy weight and bring a transformation because my character needed that." Speaking about the demands of her role, Surbhi explained, "If you're playing a naagin, you need to look sexy, and someone who can easily do the stunts. The previous seasons' actresses, who played naagins, had already set a bar so high that it was important to look different and set a new trend."Sharing the secret to her transformation, Surbhi told TOI, "I ate all the right things for the entire year." She emphasized that healthy eating was key to her weight loss journey. Even though she didn't rely on gym workouts, the physically demanding shoot schedule for Naagin 5 kept her active, which played a big role in burning calories. When asked about managing food cravings, Surbhi revealed she sticks to simple, nutritious meals like jowar bhakri (chapati), rice, veggies, chicken, and fish, while generally avoiding junk food. However, she allows herself 'cheat days' to enjoy favorites like pav bhaji and pizza. Her approach to fitness is based on balance: she believes staying active and eating small portions makes it easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle. "If I am physically active and eat in small portions, it will be easier to stay fit and healthy," she said.Although her intense shooting schedule didn't leave much time for a regular workout, Surbhi explained, "When I signed up for the show, I did not have time to go to the gym, because we were shooting for 12-13 hours. Naagin is not a show that requires you to be in one place throughout the day. The show had a fast pace, we had to run around a lot because of outdoor scenes, and do a lot of stunts and action scenes. This helped me burn my calories, so I was burning good calories on the sets."When she does have time off, Surbhi likes to stay active with Zumba and Pilates, both of which help her maintain her fitness and energy levels.

'Son of Sardaar 2' Box Office collection day 1: Ajay Devgn-Mrunal Thakur's film mints Rs 6.75 crore; beats Triptii Dimri-Siddhant Chaturvedi's 'Dhadak 2' on opening day
Ajay Devgn 's much-awaited comedy-drama 'Son of Sardaar 2' finally hit cinemas on 1 August 2025 after facing several delays. A sequel to the 2012 hit 'Son of Sardaar', this instalment sees Devgn reprise his role as Jassi Randhawa in a new, love-fuelled adventure. Despite the star's strong fan following and a wide release across the country, the film had a modest start at the box office. Son Of Sardaar 2 Movie Review Modest start but fails to be 'Raid 2' According to early estimates by Sacnilk, 'Son of Sardaar 2' collected approximately Rs 6.75 crore on its first day. While the numbers aren't bad, they're not record-breaking either, especially when compared to Ajay Devgn's earlier 2025 release, 'Raid 2', which made a much stronger Rs 19.25 crore on its opening day. Occupancy on day 1 The occupancy rate for shows across India on the opening Friday was 22.56%, with night shows witnessing the highest turnout at 40.27%. Morning shows recorded just 10.24%, while the afternoon and evening shows managed 17.88% and 21.84%, respectively. 'Son of Sardaar 2' vs ' Dhadak 2 ' The film faced strong competition on its opening day from another big release—Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi 's 'Dhadak 2'. While the romantic drama collected Rs 3.35 crore on Day 1, Ajay Devgn's comedy came out on top with Rs 6.75 crore. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like They Were So Beautiful Before; Now Look At Them; Number 10 Will Shock You Reportingly Undo 'Son of Sardaar 2' cast In 'Son of Sardaar 2', Ajay Devgn is joined by Mrunal Thakur , who plays Rabia. This marks her first film with Ajay, and fans are already enjoying their on-screen chemistry. The film boasts a large ensemble cast that adds layers of humour and drama to the story. Ravi Kishan plays Raja, Neeru Bajwa appears as Dimple, Deepak Dobriyal takes on the role of Gul, Kubbra Sait features as Mehwish, and Chunky Panday portrays Danish. The supporting cast includes Sharat Saxena, Mukul Dev, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia , Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar, Sahil Mehta, and Dolly Ahluwalia , who plays Jassi's mother. 'Son of Sardaar 2' movie review 'Son of Sardaar 2' received 3 stars from The Times of India. The review describes the film as a slapstick comedy with a thin plot, but filled with hilarious moments, especially in the first half, 'The slapstick comedy written by Jagdeep Singh Sidhu and Mohit Jain is a standalone sequel to 2012's Son of Sardaar. The storyline maybe thin, but Jassi juggling the dual act of being a war hero and Rabia's husband doubles the chaos. India-Pakistan rivalry jokes and one-liners will keep you in splits, along with Tony and Titu trying to expose Jassi. The first half has some entertaining moments; one of them being Raja, Tony, and Titu visiting the family to finalise the wedding, where Jassi recreates the scene from Border and plays all three parts originally portrayed by Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, and Jackie Shroff.' The review also points out that the second half becomes crowded with too many characters and comic tracks, 'However, as the story progresses, the plot becomes tangled and overstuffed with characters and comic tracks, though it does manages to deliver hilarity regularly. Some of the comedy misses the mark, like Jassi watching Raja's aged Russian stepmom pole dance. Routine song-and-dance sequences further drag on without advancing the plot. The climax is convoluted, predictable, and over‑dramatised.'

Abilympics participants share stories of resilience
Lucknow: When Budh Singh, a professional artist with a locomotor disability from Delhi, entered the competition floor of the North Zone Regional Abilympics and Conference 2025, he was not just there to win, but to represent a life of quiet resilience and extraordinary creativity. Teaching art to children with intellectual disabilities and working as a part-time tailor, Singh's story reflects the spirit of the Abilympics. "Art has always been my voice when words failed me. There were times when self-doubt, financial struggles, and lack of support made me question my path—but I held on to my brush like a lifeline. This platform makes me feel seen, valued, and inspired to do more. Today, I not only create art, I teach it—because if it helped me heal, maybe it can help someone else too," said Singh. He is not the only one. Participants like Nirlesh Pandey, a hearing-impaired BTech graduate from IIT Kanpur, and Mohammad Afzal Ansari, an MBA holder with a learning disability caused by the 2001 Bhuj earthquake, emphasised how the Abilympics gave them recognition and purpose. With the help of a translator, Nirlesh Pandey spoke to TOI, "I never let my hearing impairment define me. Being at the Abilympics connects me with people who share that same fire to overcome. " Mohammad Afzal Ansari, a participant in the desktop publishing category, shared, "That earthquake changed my body, but not my spirit." The two-day event that kicked off on Friday saw over 100 participants. It was inaugurated by Narendra Kumar Kashyap, minister for Backward Classes Welfare and Disabled Empowerment of Uttar Pradesh. Organised by the National Abilympic Association of India (NAAI) in collaboration with Sarthak Educational Trust, the participants competed in over a dozen categories including photography, painting & decorating, basket making, crochet, massage therapy, hairdressing, cake decoration, etc.
