Gypsy-Rose Blanchard Breaks Down Over the Idea of Having To Explain Her Past to Her Daughter

Yahoo15-05-2025

When it comes to confessions, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard has a pretty big one to make. That's because the new mom once spent a few years behind bars for her role in the murder of her mother, DeeDee Blanchard. A fact that Blanchard recently broke down in tears over, after she realized that some day she'd need to share all of the messy details from that part of her life with her new little girl.

According to People magazine, Blanchard laid her fears bare during a recent episode of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup. During an update about how hard the early days were with her newborn daughter Aurora, the new mom began to reflect on how she would eventually go about explaining her relationship with her notorious mother, who manipulated the 33-year-old for entire life.
'I know the things that I'm responsible for, such as feeding her and changing her. But also like, while you guys were on lunch, I had another breakdown," the new mom confessed as tears began to well in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, I just, I'm putting all of this effort in. And I have been hit with the question, 'How are you going to tell your daughter about what you did?'" Blanchard managed to say through tears. "And I just want to know that she's going to love me and forgive me for what I did in my past. I just don't want that to cloud her mind and her end up hating me."
Once she was able to calm down a little bit, she shared her hope that her daughter would eventually be able to forgive her for how she handled being a victim of Munchausen by proxy.
'And I'm not a monster. And I don't want her to grow up thinking that I'm one," the new mom continued. "You hear about families that have deep dark secrets and they have skeletons in their closet and their kids disown them and hate them, growing up resenting them. And I just don't want that to be the case for us."
Unfortunately for Blanchard, this family secret isn't exactly a secret. The story made headlines across the country when the news came out about her mother's murder, and there were many movies and television shows made about what went on in the days leading up to the crime, including how big of a role Blanchard played in her mother's death.
On the flip side, Blanchard also has the truth on her side. And being able to show her daughter what she went through, and what the courts had to say about her involvement, may help her to share her story. For now, the new mama has plenty of time to figure things out while she enjoys getting to know her little girl.

Woman Says Her Friend Needs to ‘Set Her Standards Higher' After 15 Years of Dating the Same Man On and Off

A Mumsnet user thinks her friend can do better than being in an on-and-off relationship with the same man for the past 15 years The woman's friend, however, is happy with the status of her relationship because he "makes her laugh and is good in bed," she wrote Commentators pushed back on the woman's need to impose her ideals on her friendA woman wants her friend to have better dating standards. A user on the popular U.K.-based forum Mumsnet detailed in a post that her friend is seemingly 'wasting her best years' on a man who doesn't want to commit. 'She has been sleeping with the same man on and off for around 15 years. He has never wanted a relationship,' she wrote. The woman noted that her friend, who is in her mid-30s and child-free, has had 'short-lived relationships,' while he's 'had a few dates and one-night stands' during their time together. Four years ago, her friend met a 'nice man' who wanted to be in a committed relationship and cut it off with the other man. Alas, that romance didn't last 'after about three months,' and she 'got back in touch immediately with the other man, and resumed things with him.' The woman's friend and the casual man spend time every few weeks, play pool, and text daily. 'He doesn't want a relationship, but she says she's made it clear that if he slept with another woman, or was speaking to one with that intention, she'd be done and he'd be blocked,' she wrote, adding, 'Neither of them have slept with anyone else for years. They've booked a weekend away and she's really excited, as if he's proposed.' The woman has told her friend that she can do better, 'but she laughs and says he 'makes her laugh and is good in bed',' she wrote. The woman dismissed the unconventional arrangement and is concerned about her friend's future. 'I just think it's a bit pathetic and am worried she'll end up 50 and alone when he meets someone he's actually serious about,' she wrote. Users understood that the woman was concerned for her friend, but stressed that it wasn't her life to live. 'It's her life. If that's what she wants it's nothing to do with you,' a user wrote. 'There's really no time limit on finding a serious relationship if that's what she decides she wants in the future. It's a little different if she wants kids but it doesn't sound like they are a priority for her,' a poster said. The woman acknowledged in a reply that fair points were raised, but insisted her friend is 'settling for crumbs.' Read the original article on People

How Meghan Markle's Perspective on Royal Family Rift Is Different From Prince Harry's

Prince Harry has been open about the continuing rift between himself and other members of the British royal family, including his father, King Charles, and older brother, Prince William. Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, moved to California in 2020 and issues over visiting the U.K. have arisen in relation to security concerns. This week, a source tells People that the couple has different perspectives on how to move forward. 'They're aware of everything going on in England, but they're being left out of the details—there's clearly no trust,' said the insider, adding that Meghan is 'focused on the future,' and 'is very business about it.' She remains firmly supportive of her husband, however, despite his own tendency to dwell on the widening gulf. But the Duchess of Sussex 'wishes her husband could feel less burdened by the past and more present in the life they've built together.' Charles has been receiving regular cancer treatments and is allegedly struggling with the idea of reconciliation. 'It's been difficult for him to even get proper updates about his dad,' the source explained. Harry has been requesting for years to have automatic police protection applied to his entire family so they can visit the country again, a privilege applied to working members of the royal family. They lost their appeal on the matter in April of this year. Charles and William's hesitation towards reconciliation is supposedly about 'trust' and the belief that heir interactions with the Sussexes may not remain private. The couple has shared intimate details of their lives in their popular Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and in Harry's memoir Spare, as well as a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. In a 2023 interview with The Daily Telegraph, Harry admitted he actually removed anecdotes from Spare after considering how it might divide him from his father and brother. 'The first draft was different,' he said. 'It was 800 pages, and now it's down to 400 pages. It could have been two books, put it that way. And the hard bit was taking things out.' And there were some things he didn't 'want the world to know.' 'I don't think they would ever forgive me,' Harry added. 'This is not about trying to collapse the monarchy, this is about trying to save them from themselves.'
