Jack Hopko has been putting up numbers all season long, and that didn't change in the team's game against Quinnipiac.
He tallied four hits in five at-bats, one of which was a triple. He also drove in two and scored two runs of his own. To go along with all that, he added a stolen base to his resume and continued his impressive college career with the Rams.

Boston Celtics sign Ron Harper Jr. to training camp deal
As we edge closer to the start of the 2025-26 NBA season, teams are starting to prepare for training camp and preseason. This is the point in the summer when players begin to sign Exhibit 10 contracts, in the hopes of either earning a spot on a roster or being given a chance in the G League. Ron Harper Jr. is the Boston Celtics' first Exhibit 10 addition this summer. Harper Jr. will be entering his fourth NBA season, having originally signed with the Toronto Raptors as a rookie. He also spent some time with the Maine Celtics this past season, and will now get an opportunity to make an impression on Joe Mazzulla and his coaching staff throughout the summer. In total, Harper Jr. made 27 G League appearances this past season, split between the Motor City Cruise and Maine Celtics, where he averaged 18.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists, shooting 39% from deep on 8.9 attempts per outing. As the Celtics already have their two-way spots filled courtesy of Amari Williams, Max Shulga and RJ Luis, Harper Jr. will either make the main roster as the 15th and final member of the roster, or join the Maine Celtics in the hope of triggering a bonus should he stay with the team for 60 days. Of course, right now, his only focus will be on making a strong impression and working to improve his game. The Dallas Mavericks are currently gearing up for their 2024-25 season, recently finding out that they will have both an opening week and Christmas Day nationally televised game this year. A large part of the reason why there is still considerable hype around Dallas despite the Luka Doncic trade and Kyrie Irving injury is the presence of Cooper Flagg, whom the team drafted number one overall this past June. Flagg hails from Maine, prompting some fans to give him the nickname 'The Maine Event,' and recently, a farmer from Maine paid homage to Flagg with an epic corn maze that was designed to resemble the number one overall pick shooting the basketball, per the Mavs' account on X, formerly Twitter. In many ways, Flagg is responsible for putting his home state on the map in terms of basketball–Maine is not exactly known as a sports hub, and even though Flagg eventually transferred out of the state and down to Florida to finish out his high school career against better competition, he's still frequently shown love to his home state during his rise to fame. A strange situation for the Mavericks It's not often that a number one overall pick walks into a situation where three future Hall of Famers are already on the roster (in this case, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, and Klay Thompson). However, that's exactly the situation that Cooper Flagg finds himself in ahead of the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season. Conspiracy theorists were abuzz when the Mavericks landed the number one overall pick less than four months after trading Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in what was widely regarded as the worst transaction in NBA history. However, for Mavericks fans, the addition of Flagg figures to provide some sort of silver lining amid what was the darkest period in their franchise's history. At this point, it's hard to envision the Mavericks competing for much considering the state of their guard rotation with Irving sidelined due to an ACL injury, but once Kyrie returns, Dallas could have one of the deepest rosters in the NBA. The Mavericks will get their season underway on October 22 against the San Antonio Spurs. New MSU edge rusher is turning heads in practice, has 'some serious juice'
A new Spartans edge rusher is turning heads during preseason fall camp. It was a point of priority for the Spartans to revamp their edge rushing room in the offseason, and it sounds like that has been an early success during fall preseason camp. There have been a number of players and coaches comments from preseason camp that would suggest a big improvement at that position, and on Thursday, we heard some more good news on a new Spartan. According to a post from Kenny Jordan of On3, redshirt freshman edge rusher Anelu Lafaele has caught the attention of his position coach Chad Wilt. He said Lafaele has "some serious juice" -- which would suggest he is going to play a role on the Spartans defense for the next few years. Lafaele started his career at Wisconsin before transferring to Michigan State in the winter transfer portal. He was a four-star prospect in the 2024 class, and redshirted during his lone season with the Badgers. Michigan State's pass rushing was one of the worst in the Big Ten last year, and is hopefully going to see massive improvements this season. This comment from Wilt is another positive sign of that being the case when the Spartans open the 2025 season later this month.
