While catfights among actresses grab headlines, male stars are just as capable of petty rivalries. On a recent podcast, comedian-actor Vir Das revealed that a senior actor once displayed extreme insecurity and passive-aggressive behavior in an attempt to outshine him and assert dominance on set. Although 'catfights' and cold wars between actresses are more widely covered in pop culture, actors/male stars can and actually do give their female peers a run for their money when it comes to petty fights. In a recent podcast, comedian-actor Vir Das opened up on how a senior actor tried to one-up him and proved to be incredibly insecure and passive-aggressive. In a candid chat with hosts Sakshi Shivdasani and Naina Bhan on the podcast 'Moment Of Silence,' the 'Delhi Belly' star spoke at length of a popular actor who got extremely insecure about his makeup and took a dig at his appearance. Although he did not take any names, he implied that the actor always wanted to make an impression and prove that he was the big shot.
"Usually... if a guy needs to prove he's an alpha dog... he isn't. The strongest guys are usually super chill an don't need to try and prove themselves. I was working with a hero, and one of my friends was a top makeup artist. She made my base foundation... The guy took one look at me and said, ' Tera face bohot kharap lag raha hain bro, tu bohot chalky lag raha hai.. . (You are looking terrible; she made your foundation extremely chalky.) You are not looking good, bro... not looking nice!"Das refused to rise up to the occasion and thanked him calmly. But four months later, the star's makeup artist approached him and requested him to divulge his makeup artist, as the actor had been reprimanding him for his makeup not being as top-notch as Vir's. Vir Das is a multifaceted Indian entertainer, known for his work as a stand-up comedian, film actor, and musician. Indian woman's videos on Dutch traditions give desis 'second-hand cultural shock'

An Indian woman living in the Netherlands has left the internet in splits after sharing her hilarious take on everyday cultural differences that she believes could 'give an Indian a heart attack.' Rashi Agarwal frequently posts about her life in the Netherlands.(Instagram/ Rashi Agarwal, who frequently posts about her life abroad, highlighted how many of the traditions and social norms Indians take for granted are turned completely upside down in Dutch culture. Her tongue-in-cheek observations have struck a chord with viewers, sparking a mix of laughter, disbelief, and cultural shock. In one of her popular videos, Agarwal explained that birthdays in the workplace work very differently in the Netherlands compared to India. Instead of being surprised with a cake by colleagues, the responsibility actually falls on the birthday person. "PSA- No one is buying you a cake on your birthday in Netherlands and if you work at an office, better take a cake on your birthday for everyone," she wrote. Another video focused on Dutch birthday parties, which she revealed can be a letdown for Indians accustomed to overflowing food and hospitality. Instead of being served a feast, guests are expected to eat dinner beforehand. "What do you mean, there is no food at a Dutch party? In India, you'll be going home with the leftovers," Agarwal quipped in her caption. While Agarwal's posts are humorous in tone, they also highlight the striking cultural contrasts that can surprise Indians moving abroad. And if her comments section is anything to go by, she's not the only one trying to wrap her head around the Dutch way of life. "As a Dutch-born and raised sesi, I still can't fathom this… my mom and my family always have snacks and dinner," one viewer confessed. Another commented that her videos give her "second-hand cultural shock." A third user chimed in with practical advice: "Skip such events. I think an email wish will be sufficient for such 'friends'."
