'The White Lotus' star reveals why her storyline can be triggering
'The White Lotus' star Michelle Monaghan talks to Ralphie Aversa about how the female friendship story line is so relatable and toxic.
In January, Nestlé released a Coffee Mate Piña Colada Liquid Non-Dairy Creamer, inspired by the HBO series "The White Lotus."
Piña coladas play a significant role in the Season 3 finale of "The White Lotus."
The coffee creamer, in addition to a Thai iced coffee, which is also inspired by the show, is available on the Nestlé website and from retailers like Walmart and Target.
Spoiler alert: This story contains details from "The White Lotus" Season 3 finale.
"The coconut milk is off!"
If you were one of the more than 6.2 million viewers who tuned in to "The White Lotus" Season 3 finale on Sunday night, piña coladas have a whole new meaning. And while brands are jumping on the hit series' bandwagon, one was ahead of the pack.
In January, Nestlé released a Coffee Mate Piña Colada Liquid Non-Dairy Creamer in collaboration with HBO. The 28-ounce bottle bears "The White Lotus" logo, front and center, but the creamer was first promoted on Coffee Mate's socials on March 31, a little less than week before the season finale released. And according to the brand, it wasn't aware of the role piña coladas played in the finale when the creamer hit shelves.
In the final episode of the third season of "The White Lotus", wealthy father Timothy Ratliff (Jason Isaacs) concocts a large batch of piña coladas for his beloved (and spoiled) family, laced with blended pong pong fruit seeds, which are highly poisonous.
"Well this is awkward," Coffee Mate said in a Tuesday Instagram post, promoting the coffee creamer.
More: I stayed at a real-life 'White Lotus' hotel for a weekend. It was nothing like I expected.
Other brands pile on: 'Have you ever heard of wine?'
If social media is for anything, it's for brands to troll − make fun of − other brands, and no one is letting Coffee Mate down easy.
"Piper nooooooo," Pringles commented on Coffee Mate's Instagram post, referencing Timothy's daughter Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook), who takes a sip of the fatal beverage.
"Have you ever heard of wine?" California's Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens commented − a line that Timothy's wife Victoria (Parker Posey) asks her husband later in the night, after the family sips on his homemade drinks.
In an entire Instagram post dedicated to the piña colada coffee creamer, online cooking magazine Delish shared a photo of the creamer with the on-photo caption, "Great for your protein shakes!" The comment is a nod to Timothy's son Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) who makes protein shakes during the family's trip. It's with the blender Saxton uses to make his shakes that Timothy blends together the deadly piña coladas.
Where can you buy Coffee Mate's 'White Lotus'-inspired creamer?
A 28-ounce bottle of Coffee Mate's White Lotus piña colada coffee creamer is available on the Nestlé website and online from retailers like Walmart and Target.
In addition to the creamer, Coffee Mate released a White Lotus non-diary Thai iced coffee, also made in collaboration with HBO.
How long will the White Lotus coffee creamer, iced coffee be available?
The White Lotus piña colada coffee creamer and Thai iced coffee will be available through summer, a Nestlé spokesperson told USA TODAY.

Drew Scott & Linda Phan Gave a Super-Rare Glimpse Into Making the ‘Back-To-Back Birthday Parties for Piper & Parker'
Having kids born close together is a logistics nightmare. When their birthdays are only days or weeks apart, it can be exhausting (and expensive!) to celebrate each child separately. And as a twin, Drew Scott knows the importance of making your kids feel special. That's why he and his wife Linda Phan came up with the coolest party hack to celebrate the 'back-to-back' birthdays of their kids Parker, born on May 4, 2022, and their daughter Piper, born on May 21, 2024. 'Linda and I threw back-to-back birthday parties for Piper and Parker last month, and let's just say…the kids weren't the only ones having a blast! 😄' the Property Brothers star captioned a new post on Instagram. He shared that he and Phan had a great time dressing up and making their own multi-purpose decorations. 'When it comes to hosting, we love getting the kids involved with DIY crafts, finding new ways to repurpose decorations, and keeping things fun and festive without the fuss. (Linda's creativity never ceases to amaze me!) Swipe for inspo➡️🎂,' he added. In the first photo, the couple smile next to a wagon covered in cardboard to turn it into a 'sea lab.' 'Making props with cardboard and paint is a fun way to get kids involved,' Scott explained. His first tip: 'start with a theme.' For Parker's 3rd birthday, the theme was 'under the sea,' and for Piper's first, it was 'French Pâtisserie.' Next, they made cute signage and rhymes to go with the party and set up a photo booth backdrop. For Parker, they put up blue and orange streamers; for Piper, they made a display with flowers and pastries. 'Try décor you can eat!' he suggested. Next up: 'attention to detail.' They wrapped blue paper sharks around paper cups and set up a table with pink glasses and blue-striped napkins. To save money, Scott recommends 'invest[ing] in décor you can reuse multiple times,' like mini disco balls that worked for both parties, and setting up a play and reading area with things they already had around the house. 'Put on a show' was next, as Scott shared photos of Phan, him, and others dressed up to do a puppet show for Parker's party and a live band to play music for Piper's party. Last but not least, have a fabulous cake! Parker's was in the shape of waves with toy sea animals to fit the theme, and Piper's had edible flowers that made for 'beautiful and easy decorations.' They definitely made the whole back-to-back party thing look easy! People praised these nice, yet relatively simple birthday parties in the comments. 'Kiddos parties are the best – love it! ❤️,' one person wrote. Someone else said, 'This is too cute for kids party 🎉 ideas enjoyed the pics' Last month, Scott shared adorable updates about his kids on their birthdays. For Piper, he shared a sweet video montage of one of her favorite things: dancing! 'POV: Your toddler dances to anything and everything,' he wrote over the video, adding in the caption, 'Happy 1st birthday to our little dancing queen! ❤️' When his son Parker turned 3, he wrote a little bit about what his toddler is into right now. 'To my walk and talk compadre, my dino wrangler, my coffee connoisseur, and my little foodie,' the HGTV star wrote on Instagram. 'You've made the past 3 years the best I could have imagined.' He added, 'I love you Parky!! Happy bday.' Blake Lively Speaks Out in Emotional Statement After Justin Baldoni Lawsuit Is 'Defeated': 'I've Felt the Pain'
Blake Lively shared a message on Instagram June 9 to speak out after Justin Baldoni's $400 million lawsuit against her was dismissed by a judge "I've felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us," she wrote Her lawyers have called the judge's decision a "total victory and a complete vindication" for the actressBlake Lively is opening up about the "pain" she was caused by Justin Baldoni's countersuit, which she declares has been "defeated" with the judge's dismissal. "Like so many others, I've felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us," the actress, 37, wrote on her Instagram Stories on Monday, June 9. "While the suit against me was defeated, so many don't have the resources to fight back." Lively added that she is now "more resolved than ever to continue to stand for every woman's right to have a voice in protecting themselves, including their safety, their integrity, their dignity and their story." "With love and gratitude for the many who stood by me, many of you I know. Many of you I don't. But I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you," she wrote. As part of the post, Lively shared a list of organizations for relevant resources and information: California Employment Lawyers Association; California Women's Law Center; CHILD USA; Coalition Against Trafficking in Women; Equal Rights Advocates; Esperanza United; Her Justice; Herunivercity Inc.; National Network to End Domestic Violence; National Organization for Women; National Organization for Women NYC; New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault; New York Cyber Abuse Task Force; New York State Anti-Trafficking Coalition; Sanctuary for Families; Urban Resource Institute; Women's Equal Justice; and Women's Justice NOW. Among these organizations were groups and experts that recently filed amicus briefs in the ongoing case, sounding the alarm on what they called Baldoni's "attempt to dismantle a law designed to protect women who speak up," a spokesperson for Lively said in a previous statement. On June 9, Judge Lewis J. Liman granted motions to dismiss the $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, which alleged extortion and defamation, plus Baldoni's $250 million defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. is now available in the Apple App Store! Download it now for the most binge-worthy celeb content, exclusive video clips, astrology updates and more! Her lawyers hailed the decision as a "total victory and a complete vindication" for the actress. In their statement after the dismissal news, Lively's attorneys Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb noted, "As we have said from day one, this '$400 million' lawsuit was a sham, and the Court saw right through it." They added that they "look forward to the next round, which is seeking attorneys' fees, treble damages and punitive damages" against Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties, who "perpetrated this abusive litigation." Judge Liman noted in his June 9 filing that Baldoni's legal team can still amend the claims for breach of implied covenant and tortious interference with contract if they choose to move forward, with a deadline of June 23. Lively sued her It Ends With Us director-costar Baldoni, 41, plus others in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, which he has denied. She recently agreed to drop two of her claims against Baldoni — intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress — in a move her legal team described as a "routine part of the litigation process" for "streamlining and focusing" their case. In March, Freedman spoke out after Lively filed a motion to dismiss their countersuit, saying the actress' attempt to "dismiss herself from the self-concocted disaster she initiated is one of the most abhorrent examples of abusing our legal system." He added at the time, 'Stringent rules are put into place to protect the innocent and allow individuals to rightfully defend themselves. Laws are not meant to be twisted and curated by privileged elites to fit their own personal agenda." Their trial is set for March 2026. Read the original article on People
