Watch: Trump Awkwardly Sidesteps Question About Musk's Drug Use

Elon Musk's official DOGE departure from the White House on Friday was overshadowed by news concerning his alleged drug use. An explosive report by The New York Times claimed that Musk, 53, was using ketamine daily on the Trump campaign trail. When asked about the allegations regarding his former sidekick by a reporter as he touched down in Washington this evening, Trump said he 'wasn't' aware of Musk's regular drug consumption. 'I think he's fantastic,' Trump said. 'I think Elon is a fantastic guy.' When asked if the report was 'troubling' to him, Trump reasserted that, 'I'm not troubled by anything to do with Elon. I think he's fantastic.' The claim that Musk is taking so much ketamine that he is experiencing bladder issues riled the SpaceX CEO during a White House press conference on Friday. 'Let's move on! OK, next question?' Musk snapped when asked by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy about The New York Times report. Ketamine is a drug used often in the medical industry for pain relief. But, over the last few years, it has been increasingly used by mental health practitioners to treat depression and other psychological illnesses. However, the drug, also used as an animal tranquilizer, is known to cause 'ketamine-induced cystitis' and can lead to serious bladder issues as well as kidney failure. It has been implicated in the death of Friends star Matthew Perry. It's not the only drug that Musk is reported to have used. Allegedly, the billionaire carried a box of various narcotics around with him while on the campaign trail. The drugs in question include Adderall, ecstasy, and magic mushrooms. New York Times reporter Megan Twohey told MSNBC on Friday that the White House had refused to answer questions over whether or not Musk had been drug tested during his tenure. Still, Trump concluded that Musk 'did a great job,' and that his legacy program, DOGE, will continue. 'By the time it's finished,' Trump said, 'We'll have numbers that'll knock your socks off.'

Shakira performance for World Pride opening concert abruptly canceled due to technical issues

One day before the kickoff concert for World Pride 2025 in the nation's capital, headlining performer Shakira has abruptly canceled due to equipment difficulties. 'We are deeply disappointed that unforeseen circumstances have forced the cancellation' of the concert, the Capital Pride Alliance, the main World Pride organizer, said in a Friday statement. 'Updates about the relocated Opening Ceremony program will be released as soon as they are finalized!' The multiplatinum singer had been scheduled to headline the opening celebrations Saturday night at Nationals Park. Brandon Nagy/Shutterstock The reasons are apparently an extension of equipment issues related to her Thursday night concert in Boston's Fenway Park, which was also canceled hours before it was set to begin. A Friday night concert at Fenway for country star Jason Aldean was also canceled. Advertisement 'Due to complications with the previous show in Boston, Shakira's full tour production cannot be transported to Washington, DC in time for her scheduled performance at Nationals Park,' the Capital Pride Alliance statement said. 'Despite every effort to make it happen, it is not possible to move forward as planned.' The Alliance noted that the full slate of citywide events was still on for opening weekend, and said the kickoff ceremony would be relocated and reorganized. The cancellation presents a further challenge for the Alliance, but at least a nonpolitical one. 5 Shakira dances on stage during the Shakira: Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. Getty Images Organizers have already said they expected international attendance to measurably suffer as a result of concern and anger in the LGBTQ+ community over President Donald Trump's policies. Trump's public antipathy for trans protections and drag shows has already prompted two international LGBTQ+ organizations, Eagle Canada and the African Human Rights Coalition, to issue warnings against traveling to the US at all. The primary concern is that trans or nonbinary individuals would face trouble entering the country if passport control officers enforce the administration's strict binary view of gender status. Capital Pride Alliance Executive Director Ryan Bos said that security fencing would be installed surrounding the final two-day concert and rally on a multi-block stretch of Pennsylvania Avenue. Early hotel reservation numbers for the final World Pride weekend, June 6-8, were originally down from the previous year, according to Destination DC, which tracks reservations. But Destination DC President Elliott Ferguson told reporters on Thursday that, 'what we're seeing now is a surge at the last minute, especially with the national community.' Ferguson speculated that concerns about international attendance had 'galvanized the local community, the national community to want to come to the city.'

Musk Gives Crazy Explanation for Sporting Black Eye in Oval Office with Trump

Elon Musk joined President Donald Trump in the Oval Office to mark his last official day with DOGE where the billionaire appeared to have a literal black eye as he made his departure from the White House. The world's richest man stood alongside Trump as he made remarks and the pair took questions. Musk, wearing his standard black baseball cap, this one reading 'DOGE' and t-shirt under his jacket, had bruising around his right eye. Finally, a reporter referenced the black eye and asked Musk if his eye was ok. First Musk joked that he wasn't anywhere near France, a reference to the recent viral video of the French First Lady pushing French President Emmanuel Macron in the face. However, then Musk's explanation got even weirder. 'I was just horsing around with little X, and I said 'go ahead, punch me in the face,' and he did,' Musk explained. X is the tech billionaire's five-year-old son who has regularly appeared with Musk and the president at the White House. 'Turns out, even a five-year-old punching you in the face actually,' Musk continued before being interrupted by Trump. 'That was X that did that?' the president asked. 'X could do it. If you knew X, he could do it.' While X has regularly been spotted hanging out inside the Oval Office as his dad met with Trump and tagged along for visits to Capitol Hill, he was notably absent during the farewell remarks on Friday. Musk explained his absence by saying he was with his mom. The tech billionaire added that he didn't really 'feel much' at the time when they were horsing around, but then it bruised. Musk might be heading out as an official 'Special Government Employee' but he vowed on Friday that the work of DOGE would continue. 'The DOGE team will only grow stronger over time. The DOGE influence will only grow stronger,' Musk insisted. Musk, decked out in a shirt that read 'The Dogefather' similar to 'The Godfather' called it a 'way of life.'
