Focus Features has set an October 2025 release for Anemone, which will mark Daniel Day-Lewis' first on-screen performance since 2017. Daniel Day-Lewis co-wrote the film with his son, Ronan Day-Lewis, who is making his directorial debut. The script 'explores family bonds, specifically those involving fathers, sons and brothers.'
Anemone will receive a limited release on October 3rd before expanding wide on October 10th.

These Fans Love ‘Pride & Prejudice' a Billion Times Over
'Ladies and gentlemen,' a voice announced over speakers, 'please welcome world-renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet!' A roar erupted from hundreds of people dressed in their Regency-inspired finest: tailcoats and dresses with puffed shoulders, costume jewelry and ringlet-curled hair. They crowded around a small Steinway piano to the side of a makeshift stage, whose backdrop was like a billboard: a purple expanse with the image of Keira Knightley in a bonnet and the text 'Pride & Prejudice: Twentieth Anniversary.' It was a Comic Con for the Jane Austen set, an enormous party thrown by Focus Features for one of its most beloved films, Joe Wright's 2005 adaptation of 'Pride and Prejudice.' Inside the Viennese Ballroom at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena, Calif., fans of the movie recently gathered for the rare opportunity to hear Thibaudet perform Dario Marianelli's soundtrack. Thibaudet, dressed in custom Vivienne Westwood designed for the occasion, took his seat at the piano and began to play 'Dawn,' the tone-setting theme from the start of the film, in which a freely repeating note gives way to an instantly endearing melody over gentle waves of arpeggios. Netflix revealed the full trailer for Squid Game Season 3 during its Tudum fan event on Saturday, May 31st. Watch the clip below. The third and final season of the international hit will feature the return of Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) alongside familiar faces like The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) and detective Hwang Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon), as well as several players introduced in Season 2: Myung-gi, Dae-ho, Hyun-ju, Yong-sik, Geum-ja, Jun-hee, Min-su, and Nam-gyu. The new trailer finds Gi-hun back in the game after Season 2's rebellion, unsure why he's been allowed to live. But the answer may have something to do with The Front Man's plans for him, as 'Player 456' finds himself getting closer than ever before to the ones running the games. Alf Clausen, the longtime composer of The Simpsons who scored more than 560 episodes of the animated series, had died at the age of 84. Clausen died after a decade-long battle with Progressive Supernuclear Palsy (PSP). A two-time Emmy Award winner with 30 additional nominations, Clausen provided the music for The Simpsons for 27 years, composing a unique piece each week accompanied by a 35-piece orchestra. In a cost-cutting measure, Fox fired Clausen in 2017, leading the composer to sue the network for ageism and disability discrimination two years later. He later dropped the suit, and Simpsons producers recognized in later seasons as 'composer emeritus.' 'I think that's one of the reasons they've kept me all these years: they were looking for somebody who could score all those different types of music in small clip-form,' Clausen reflected in a 2017 interview with Consequence. 'That's what's been fun for me. I think that anyone else who would have been hired for this job and stayed for this long would have gone to the nuthouse.' Clausen also composed music for the television series ALF, and well contributed to films like The Naked Gun, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Weird Science.
