Jackie Siegel is in mourning.
The star of the 2012 documentary Queen of Versailles' sister Jessica Mallery died April 5 from an accidental overdose, Jackie's charity Victoria's Voice Foundation confirmed April 8, three days after Jackie announced the passing of her husband David Siegel.
"As I mourn the profound loss of my beloved husband David Siegel, who passed away on April 5 at the age of 89, my world was shattered again yesterday by the unexpected loss of my beautiful sister, Jessica Mallery, 43, to a scourge we as a family sadly know too well—accidental drug overdose," Jackie shared in her Instagram statement. "Jessica died after using cocaine laced with fentanyl."
"Her death is another stark reminder of the drug epidemic and fentanyl crisis plaguing our country," she continued, "and the urgent need to address substance abuse in order to save lives. Our work at Victoria's Voice remains more critical than ever, and in her memory, we will continue to raise awareness and advocate every single day until this form of grief is a distant memory in this country."

Jackie's heartbreaking news came three days after the 59-year-old announced the death of her husband, David, who had been battling cancer, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
"I wanted to personally reach out and let you know that my husband, David Alan Siegel, passed away this morning," she shared on Instagram April 5. "I was lucky enough to share twenty-five wonderful years with David, and together we raised eight incredible children. His life and legacy live on through them all."
"To say we are devastated is an understatement," Jackie continued. "But I find comfort in knowing that Victoria was there to greet him—the first thing he heard was 'Dad,' followed by a big hug. And of course, Steven is there too. That thought brings me so much peace."
David and Jackie's daughter, Victoria—who their foundation is named after—died of an accidental overdose at the age of 18 in 2015. David's son, Steven, died last year from Glioblastoma at the age of 63.
"I know you all loved him too, which is why I wanted to share this with you," Jackie's tribute to her billionaire husband went on. "Thank you for your love and support during this difficult time. It means the world to us."
She finished by saying that "life is a precious gift from God—and my husband has found his peace with Him. Embrace and cherish every moment—and thank God."
Westgate Resorts, the company that David founded which calls itself "the largest privately held timeshare company in the world," also paid tribute to him following his death.
"David never forgot his humble roots, starting Westgate in his garage and using the company as a way to lead others to become inspired and successful," the company's CEO Jim Gissy said. "We know that we are all up to the task of driving forward the legacy of this visionary man and the company he founded."

Judge Frank Caprio, known for his compassion in Rhode Island court, dies at 88

Judge Frank Caprio, renowned for his compassion in Rhode Island courts, has died at the age of 88, his son, David Caprio, said in a social media post Wednesday. Caprio, a former judge for the Providence Municipal Court, died following a bout with pancreatic cancer, according to a statement posted to social media. "Beloved for his compassion, humility, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people, Judge Caprio touched the lives of millions through his work in the courtroom and beyond," the statement reads. "His warmth, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him." "It was the love and support he received from all of you that lifted his spirits and boosted his soul to find the strength to fight on and outlive his diagnosis by a year and a half," David Caprio said in the video. Caprio went viral on social media for hearing cases on traffic and parking violations and arraignments for criminal offenses. It was Caprio's empathy and humor in how he handled the cases that would touch audiences on social media. Caprio grew up on Federal Hill in Providence, Rhode Island, and was the second of three sons. Before becoming a judge, Caprio shined shoes, delivered newspapers and worked on a milk truck. He graduated from Providence College in 1958 and began teaching American government at a local high school in Providence. While teaching, he also attended night school at the Suffolk University School of Law in Boston. Caprio served as a Providence Municipal Court judge from 1985 to 2023. "Caught in Providence," an Emmy-nominated TV show which ran from 2018 to 2020, highlighted Caprio's day-to-day life reviewing traffic cases and misdemeanors in Rhode Island. It skyrocketed him to fame on social media. In December 2023, Caprio announced he had pancreatic cancer, and he decided to go public with his diagnosis to motivate others, hoping his survival would be an inspiration. The former judge told "CBS Mornings" in 2024 that his deep empathy for others stems from hardships he faced growing up in poverty in Providence without hot running water, just blocks from the courthouse now named after him. "I'm just a small-town municipal court judge, just trying to do good. That's how I am, who tries to take into consideration the circumstances surrounding the people before me. And remember what my dad told me, when someone appears before you, put yourself in their shoes, imagine it's you before them. How do you want to be treated?" Caprio said. "It's not a pleasant experience to go to bed at night, say your prayers. And suddenly you have one extra thing you have to ask for. And that is, please help the treatment be successful for the pancreatic cancer. And I think we're on the way," Caprio told CBS News in an interview. Caprio is survived by his wife of almost six decades, Joyce Caprio, and his five children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Tell Me Lies ' Grace Van Patten Teases What to Expect From Season 3

Originally appeared on E! Online Grace Van Patten isn't telling any lies when it comes to Tell Me Lies. As the Hulu series continues production for season three following an extremely shocking sophomore season finale last October, the star teased what fans can expect from the upcoming episodes. 'It's gonna be crazy,' Grace, who plays Lucy, told E! News at the premiere of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox Aug. 19. 'It feels like the peak of all these young peoples' worst decisions.' For fans of the series, it may seem impossible that things could get any worse after Jackson White's Stephen—whose eight-year on-again, off-again relationship with Lucy is the impetus of the plot—sends Bree (Catherine Missal) quite an incriminating audio file on the day of her wedding, wreaking havoc between her, her bridesmaid Lucy and groom Evan (Branden Cook). But while the couple are living out a nightmare romance on screen, Grace emphasized to E! News that Jackson—who she's dating in real life—has been nothing but 'a dream.' In fact, he was right by her side at the premiere of the Twisted Tale, in which she portrays Amanda Knox, who was wrongfully convicted of murder in Italy in 2009. More from E! 'I'm so thankful that I was able to be a part of the opportunity for Amanda to reclaim her story. I've never felt so fulfilled after a job.' (For more from Grace tune in to E! News tonight, Aug. 20, at 11 p.m.) Indeed, it was a huge learning experience to portray Amanda, who spent four years in prison before her release in 2011. 'I'm amazed by her ability to trust and to forgive,' Grace continued. 'I was very inspired by that mindset.' And since Amanda herself was an executive producer on the project, it made it all the more special for Grace. 'It feels like such a huge collaboration,' the 28-year-old added, 'and such a huge amount of trust that I've never experienced before. This felt very special.' For Amanda, the feeling was mutual. 'She really truly captured what it was like for me to be going through this, all of the emotions,' the 38-year-old shared of Grace. 'I'm so proud of her.' Inside Selena Gomez's Adorable Relationship With Her Little Sister, Gracie Elliot Teefey

THE RUNDOWN Selena Gomez was the only child of Mandy Teefey and her father Ricardo Gomez. The former couple had Gomez fairly young, and it was a long time before she had a sibling. Her younger sister, Gracie Elliot Teefey, was born in June 2013 to Mandy and her second husband, Brian Teefey. Despite their age gap, Gomez and 12-year-old Gracie are quite close. In 2017, Gomez shared a home movie with Gracie, writing in the caption, 'I will forever let my sister know she is strong, bold, and beautiful. She will be raised to know her voice matters. She is going to understand the importance behind being a leader and inspire others by her truth.' For Gracie's 12th birthday, Gomez wrote in June 2025, 'Happy birthday to my baby sissy. As I cry writing this, my heart melts because I know you know I'm always on your side. No matter what. I love you baby girl 💕' Here's what to know about Gracie and her adorable relationship with the Only Murders in the Building star. Just after Gracie's 2013 birth, Gomez told E!, 'She's adorable. I'm obsessed with her and becoming a big sister. I know I've had the responsibility to be a role model for girls but when you have a little sister of your own, you kinda think, 'Okay, this is legit.'' She later said, 'I keep her very very protected. I mean, it's instinctual.' In 2014, she shared a picture of Gracie as an infant sitting by her at the piano, calling her 'the future.' She often shared pics of Gracie as a baby, calling her 'sissy.' Gracie made the perfect date to the Frozen 2 premiere in 2019, being a part of the target audience. In an interview with BBC One, Gomez shared that she coached her then 6-year-old sister on what to do if she didn't feel comfortable on the red carpet. 'If you get nervous, if you get overwhelmed, just pull my hand and I'll take you off immediately,' she said. 'I said to her, 'This is my favorite red carpet I have ever done.' Because she's never done any of that, and we didn't force her to do that. Everything we do…to keep her safe, but my sister's become very dramatic now. She's all about the dresses and the glitter.' Gracie did so well that she was Gomez's date to the 2022 Golden Globes. Gomez often shares pics of Gracie on Instagram in which she's clearly an active part of the pop star's life and hanging out with her friends, like in this carousel of images from her time in Paris. In July 2024, she shared some throwback photos of them together, captioning it, 'There's nothing like a little sister and the bond you have. I will forever protect you, help guide you and love you through every single moment in life baby girl.' In March 2024, they shared a 'sissy date night.' And in 2023, she called Gracie her 'little me.' Gomez gave fans another look at her life with Gracie in an August 2025 Instagram. They cuddled up over dinner together: Gomez posted an Instagram Story in June 2025, revealing her longtime friend Taylor Swift and Gracie are very close. She captioned the clip of Gracie watching a Swift music video, 'When she loves Auntie Taylor more than me.' In August 2022, Gomez spoke on the Giving Back Generation about how Gracie is her rainbow, along with her family. 'She's eight years old, and she puts things in perspective,' Gomez said. 'I have to basically watch this little person grow into a human being and there's no better feeling in the world. I kind of feel like I'm a parent in a way even though I'm not. It's so rewarding to see that life was so simple at one point, and I want to enjoy life sometimes the way she enjoys life.'
