British Heritage Brand Holland And Holland Releases A New House Tweed
For nearly two centuries, British heritage brand Holland & Holland has been known for offering luxury and performance in the field. One of the leading manufacturers of sporting shotguns and rifles since its foundation in 1835, the company has earned a reputation for innovation and excellence, holding Royal Warrant from both King George V and Queen Elizabeth II. And now, the label has debuted a new fine cloth that encapsulates its esteemed shotguns.

Emmanuel Guegan, Clothing and Accessories Manager at Holland & Holland said, 'How do you convey the essence of a Holland & Holland, a fabled British handmade firearm, into its most natural and legitimate companion, the tweed garment? This was the challenge we set ourselves 24 months ago, morphing and weaving the hues and subtleties of our case hardening, gold inlays and deeply oiled walnut stocks into a fabric that honors the Holland & Holland legacy. Subtle yet rich, elegant yet strong; our House Tweed sets a new benchmark for sartorial elegance in the field.'

This tweed draws inspiration from the colors found in the marque's prized shotguns, think warm tones of walnut and steely blue that nods to the metalwork, golden highlights that allude to the precious metal inlays, and topped with the trademark racing green. As Emmanuel explains, 'The idea was: if Harris Holland had created a tweed fabric in 1835 to showcase next to his shotguns and rifles, what would it be and look like?'

Developed in collaboration with Lovat Mill in Scotland, which is another signal of manufacturing excellence, the tweed is crafted from 100% wool at a 14 oz weight. Alan Cumming of Lovat Mill, commented, 'We rarely develop a new tweed with such a rich backstory and provenance. Our vision was unanimous, a fusion of tradition, craftsmanship and artistry. This shared approach shines through in the material – perfectly soft, reliably durable, and, above all, strikingly beautiful.'

Of course, keeping production local is also a sustainability minded decision, 'It means for us that besides being a proprietary and exclusive fabric that defines Holland & Holland as a Bespoke House, we also have one of the smallest carbon footprints of the industry. Collaborating with skilled artisans and producing within the British Isles is part and parcel of the Holland & Holland ethos,' says Emmanuel.

Woven for durability, natural warmth and fine quality, this tweed features across the marque's Northwood, Harrow and Highgrove lines, and been tailored into everything from field coats and shooting vests, to trousers, skirts and flat caps, each piece expected to last season after season, a signature trait of this beloved brand.

It's also been designed to mix and match with other pieces, talking of the line Emmanuel says, 'It is intrinsically Holland & Holland, has a strong visual identity that connects the world of textile and soft goods with our 190 years old gun making and hard goods DNA. A performant and elegant distinctive fabric made for the sporting field and the great British outdoors.'

This Video Of Mariah Carey Finding Out That Katy Perry Went To Space Is The Funniest Thing I've Seen All Week, And You Need To Watch It
Back in April, Katy Perry and five others took a 10-minute trip to space thanks to Jeff Bezos's Blue Origin aerospace company, and it was basically all anyone talked about for about a week. Maybe even two. Blue Origin / Via Gilbert Flores / Getty Images Between the backlash and memes, the interviews and think-pieces, it's almost impossible to imagine that anyone with access to the internet could've missed the news. Which brings us to the one and only, Mariah Carey. Related: In a new interview with the BBC, radio host Scott Mills asked Mariah if she could ever see herself following in Katy's footsteps — only to very quickly realize she had no idea what he was talking about. Even with her big black shades on, the confusion on Mariah's face was evident. 'Did she go to space?' she said. Related: Mariah has a reputation for leaning into a bit every now and then if she's feeling shady; however, in this instance, she appeared genuinely baffled as she dug for answers: 'Where'd she go?!' she asked, looking around the room. Someone off camera chimed in to give Mariah the context that she needed — i.e., that Katy's space mission was rather brief — and the music icon was even more intrigued. 'Into orbit and back? She's like, floating in the…,' she said. 'And this is true?' BBC / Via Related: When Scott clarified that he was, in fact, not making it up, Mariah expressed her admiration, while also seeming totally unbothered by the whole thing, which is a skill in itself. 'Wow, alright Katy,' she said, totally deadpan. 'I'm not mad at her. That's pretty amazing.' And just when you thought the clip couldn't get any better, Scott returns to his initial question of, 'Would you do it?' to which she replied: 'I think I've done enough.' Indeed, you have, Mariah. It truly doesn't get more iconic than that. The video has only been up for a few hours, and already, people are obsessed — not only with the fact that Mariah had no idea about the space trip, but just how chill she is about the whole thing. 'I want to be THIS genuinely chill about actually everything,' one TikTok user wrote. ''I think I've done enough' says it all 🤣' added another. 'Mariah lives in her own World. everyone else is irrelevant 😅,' commented someone else, while another said: 'Only space she knows, is her own 🤣 - Queen Aura' Related: Well, if we needed any more confirmation that Mariah is simply not like the rest of us, then this was it. The Batman Part II Gets Official Filming Date From Warner Bros.
finally has a filming date. It's been three years since Matt Reeves helmed The Batman, and development on the long-awaited sequel has been relatively slow. However, Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin recently turned in their script to DC heads James Gunn and Peter Safran. With the movie's 2027 release date approaching, the start date for filming has been revealed. When can we expect The Batman Part II to begin filming? In a letter to Warner Bros. Discovery's shareholders, the company announced that The Batman Part II will begin filming in the spring of 2026. 'The Batman II (2027) is preparing to begin shooting next spring, among several other projects in development,' reads the letter via Deadline. The filming update comes days after the news that Reeves' Batman sequel has entered pre-production and will shoot at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in London next year. Details about The Batman 2 remain tightly under wraps. Robert Pattinson is confirmed to return as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Although unconfirmed by Reeves or Warner Bros., cast members from The Batman expected to return for the sequel include Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, and Colin Farrell as The Penguin. The Batman followed Pattinson's Bruce Wayne in his second year of crime-fighting as the Caped Crusader. Batman's task is to find and stop a serial killer known as The Riddler (Paul Dano), who has been targeting Gotham's most powerful and corrupt individuals. Released in March 2022, The Batman received positive reviews and financial success, grossing over $772 million worldwide. Warner Bros. announced a sequel one month later. Reeves' Batman is part of DC Elseworlds, a section of DC that is separate from Gunn's interconnected universe. Production has been delayed multiple times on the sequel. For now, The Batman 2 is dated for October 1, 2027. Originally reported by Dan Girolamo at SuperHeroHype.
