Jackson Holliday hits a game-ending double as the Orioles cool off the Mariners with a 4-3 win
Dylan Carlson set up Holliday's winning hit with a two-out single off Matt Brash (1-1). A hustling Carlson scored all the way from first on Holliday's liner into the corner in right field.
It was the first walk-off win for the Orioles since Sept. 19, 2024. They were the only big league team without a walk-off victory.
Ryan Mountcastle homered for Baltimore, and Keegan Akin (4-2) got two outs for the win.
Julio Rodríguez had two hits and scored two runs for Seattle, which dropped into second place in the AL West, one game back of Houston. Josh Naylor had two RBIs.

Commanders activate Terry McLaurin off the PUP list as contract extension talks linger
ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Commanders activated Terry McLaurin off the physically unable to perform list on Saturday amid lingering contract extension talks with the All-Pro wide receiver. McLaurin, who is entering the final year of a three-year, $68.2 million contract signed in 2022, reported to the team on July 27 after skipping the initial four days of training camp and June's mandatory minicamp. That turned a holdout to a hold-in but has not necessarily accelerated extension talks or returned McLaurin to practice. The team placed its top target on the PUP list with an ankle injury, and McLaurin requested a trade on July 31. McLaurin and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels fueled an offense that ranked fifth in points scored last season and carried the Commanders to a 12-5 regular-season record and the franchise's first NFC championship game appearance since 1991. They haven't built off that success in camp with the Sept. 7 regular-season opener against the New York Giants approaching. Three other offensive starters have missed significant time with injuries. The activation comes one day after offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury expressed a desire to work with a full lineup. 'We need to start getting those guys, when they're available out there,' Kingsbury said. ___ AP NFL:

Commanders activate WR Terry McLaurin off PUP list, still no extension
ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Commanders activated wide receiver Terry McLaurin off the physically unable to perform list Saturday, one day after offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury stressed the urgency in getting the veteran (and other absent offensive starters) back on the field. McLaurin, 29, has missed the entirety of training camp because of his contract stalemate with the team, and a deal has not yet been reached. Advertisement He elected to skip part of the voluntary organized team activities in the spring, missed mandatory minicamp, then held out for the first few days of training camp before reporting and getting placed on PUP with a designated ankle injury. On PUP, he was able to participate in team meetings and work with the strength and conditioning coaches and athletic trainers, but not practice. McLaurin was not on the field for the start of the Commanders' practice Saturday morning. The sixth-year receiver has not played a live rep of football in 202 days. His last live work was in the Commanders' NFC Championship Game loss to the Eagles on Jan. 26. The Commanders have held a relatively light training camp this year, and McLaurin's chances for full team competition are dwindling as the season opener approaches on Sept. 7. The Commanders and Baltimore Ravens mutually called off their Aug. 21 joint practice ahead of their final preseason game, citing 'logistical challenges.' Spot the pattern.
