Eataly is finally coming to Miami with new Aventura Mall location
After quite a long wait— Time Out Miami first reported on the news back in 2022 —Eataly is finally coming to the Sunshine State. Yes, the NYC-born Italian food emporium, which has more than 50 global locations spread across the United States, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Turkey, South Korea and more, is opening its first location in Florida at Miami's Aventura Mall in spring 2025.
On Thursday, June 12 at 3pm, Eataly will debut a two-level store at the luxury shopping mall, on the Third Level near Nordstrom. As at other Eataly outposts, the Miami edition will celebrate Italian culture through markets, counters, cafés, restaurants, and educational offerings "that explore the best food and beverage options Italy's 20 regions and the world has to offer," per the brand.
As one of the premier shopping destinations in the country, we couldn't be more thrilled to partner with Aventura Mall and the team at Turnberry on our first location in the state of Florida,' said Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America. 'Our mission with Eataly Aventura is to transport guests to Italy without ever having to leave Miami-Dade County, and we are very much looking forward to bringing Eataly's one-of-a-kind experience to the community here.'
The 30,000-square-foot space will feature two sit-down restaurants, a caffè with several quick-service counters, a retail section with house-made and made-in-Italy products, a wine store with a dedicated Riserva room, and a cooking school. As for the restos, diners will find La Pizza & La Pasta—a 300-seat concept specializing in Neapolitan-style pizza and artisanal pasta, naturally—and Il Pastaio, a 90-seat outlet dedicated to the art of fresh pasta. The quick-service counters will include La Pasticceria (a pastry depot with cakes, croissants and other baked goods), Panini (a counter dedicated to focaccia, panini and farcita) and Il Gelato, scooping freshly churned gelato and sorbetto creations.
And the marketplace will be a home cook's haven, selling everything from pantry staples such as extra virgin olive oils, canned tomatoes, sauces, and bronze-extruded pastas to sweets, a diversity of salumi and formaggi, and special-occasion picks like gift boxes, caviar, and panettoni. Alongside the hundreds of Italian imports, customers can also find high-quality produce, meats, and grab-and-go meals from the made-in-Eataly line. Served from counter to restaurant, a selection of house-made fresh pasta (produced onsite daily) is available for cooking at-home. There's also a wine shop that focuses exclusively on Italian wines.
Following opening day on June 12, Eataly at Aventura Mall will host 10 days of free, open-to-the-public programming in celebration of the new store, including producer showcases, hands-on tiramisu-making workshops, complimentary wine tastings, and more. Arsenal working on 6 new contracts for first-team stars after Gabriel agreement
Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes signed a new long-term contract earlier this week but Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta does not intend to stop there Andrea Berta will now seek to iron out new long-term contracts for four key Arsenal stars after defender Gabriel Magalhaes committed his future to the club until 2029. While the Gunners are yet to make any significant early moves in the transfer market besides pushing ahead with a £5million swoop for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, Italian chief Berta has made notable progress on a number of key contract extensions behind the scenes. Sources have told Mirror Football that since arriving at the club in March, Berta has been working extremely hard on a number of key agreements as Arsenal want to keep their house in order and retain the services of their most-prized assets. Both Bukayo Saka and William Saliba, who have two years left to run on their current deals, have held positive dialogue with Arsenal over fresh terms and want to stay at the club. Saliba has been courted by Real Madrid but Mikel Arteta's indispensable duo have already spoken publicly about their desire to remain in north London in a major boost for the Spaniard. Arsenal are relaxed about the process and while there's an understanding that while negotiations can take time, they maintain confidence that agreements will be struck in due course. Academy graduates Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly are also in line for new deals which would also include lucrative pay-rises. Their current contracts are due to expire in the summer of 2026 but there is optimism agreements for both players are now in sight following two stellar breakthrough seasons at the Emirates. Conversations with Lewis-Skelly began prior to Berta's arrival while one of the Italian's first acts as Arsenal sporting director was to approach the representatives of Nwaneri to propose formal contract discussions, which are advancing. Negotiations also remain ongoing with both Thomas Partey, who is currently set to become a free agent at the end of the month, and winger Leandro Trossard. Arsenal made Partey what they considered to be a competitive offer around 10 days ago but at this moment in time, there is still no agreement between the parties and the situation remains open. The Ghanaian midfielder, who turns 32 next Friday and has also attracted interest from Barcelona, wants to stay with the Gunners and is understood to be settled in north London. However, Partey is said to be cautious that his next contract could potentially represent his last big deal and his agents want to see his importance to the team reflected within the terms proposed. All parties want to find a quick resolution as Partey and his agent Jose Daniel Jimenez Pozanco, who has been handling talks with Arsenal, are currently scheduled to be in Ghana from June 10 to June 13 for the second edition of the 'Thomas Partey tournament' where scouts from Europe will cast an eye over young local talent. Additionally, Partey is due to appear at the All Star Festival in Accra, Ghana on June 18. Meanwhile, Trossard remains in line to extend his stay with Arsenal having joined the club from Brighton in January 2023. He was the subject of a verbal offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad last September and sources close to Trossard have confirmed there is still interest from the Middle East but to date, there have been no concrete offers this summer and the 30-year-old Belgian's priority is to continue with the Gunners. ‘Mouth-watering' chocolate brand that disappeared from supermarkets is back
The big UK supermarkets aren't exactly short of options when it comes to chocolate, with own-brand bars and treats, as well as products by big names like Cadbury, Tony's and Nestlé. But there's one brand that's been notably missing from the likes of Tesco and Sainsbury's for the last five years as it swapped supermarket shelves for luxury retailers, and that's GODIVA. Founded in Brussels in 1926, the chocolate brand began with pralines and the business is named after the legend of Lady Godiva. It's been sold in the UK for years in high-end stores like Harrods and Selfridges and even has its own flagship store in Covent Garden, but the chocolates haven't been widely available in supermarkets. GODIVA's first foray into supermarkets came in 2017, when the brand partnered with Sainsbury's to sell its Belgian chocolates, but it disappeared from shelves there in 2020. However, that's all about to change as the 100-year-old brand is making a supermarket comeback and has just launched its version of the viral Dubai chocolate bar in Tesco. But, of course, there's a catch. The chocolate treat – a Pistacho & Kadayif bar which sees GODIVA milk chocolate wrapped around crunchy pistachios and crispy Kadayif pastry pieces – is only available at Tesco for a limited time. And when we say limited, we aren't joking. Shoppers now have just over a week to get their hands on it at their local supermarket, as it'll only be sold there until June 17. What's more, the premium bar doesn't come cheap with an RRP of £10, though those with a Clubcard will be able to save a little, getting it for £7.95. According to GODIVA, this new bar is a reimagined and more accessible version of their usual Dubai-style chocolate bar, which is sold in Harrods for £24.95. Speaking about the launch, Isabella Rogers, chief marketing officer at GODIVA, said: 'Inspired by the viral Dubai-style chocolate trend, our new GODIVA Crispy Kadayif & Pistachio Chocolate offers an effortless way for more people to experience our premium take on this indulgent sensation for a limited time only on the high street. 'From the signature GODIVA milk chocolate couverture to the delicate crunch of pistachios and crisp golden Kadayif, it's a true feast for the senses – designed for those who may not make it to our Covent Garden boutique but still want a taste of luxury.' The brand has a strong fan base, with reviewers on Yelp hailing it as 'expensive but well worth it', 'the finest chocolates to be had in the capital', 'mouth-watering' and 'the best chocolate in London' and 'delicious' in numerous four and five star posts about the Covent Garden chocolate shop. This comes after a number of other chocolate brands recently shared exciting news, including Cadbury. The iconic brand has unveiled brand new Dairy Milk bars for summer, with one new flavour plus fun colour-changing packaging. There's an Iced Latte Dairy Milk chocolate bar, which combines smooth coffee cream, biscuit pieces and the classic taste of Cadbury chocolate and four temperature-activated packets, which visually transform when the chocolate is chilled. Yes, that's right, in a somewhat unexpected move, Cadbury is actively encouraging people to put their chocolate bars in the fridge. More Trending The new cold-activated packs will look like ordinary purple Dairy Milk bars – until they are popped in the fridge. Using thermochromic technology, the temperature change will reveal one of four vibrant summer-themed designs as the wrapper changes colour to reveal a deep blue image. Elsewhere, Mars Wrigley, has just confirmed that the 'best' Maltesers are making a comeback after 11 years. (That's the white chocolate version, in case you didn't know.) First launched in 2003, White Chocolate Maltesers were a fan-favourite before being discontinued in 2014 and people have spent more than a decade begging for them to return. View More » White Chocolate Maltesers will be available in treat bags, single bag and sharing bag formats from June 16. You'll be able to find them in major supermarkets along with independent retailers too, so you won't have to go far to get your fix. Do you have a story to share?
