You can now get Shake Shack burgers on Delta flights out of Miami
Listen, we love a Biscoff cookie as much as the next traveler, but if we had to choose a mid-flight snack, we're definitely choosing Shack— Shake Shack, that is. As part of a wider expansion of the partnership between Delta Airlines and the beloved NYC-born patty purveyor—which first kicked off with flights out of Boston last December—Delta passengers can order Shake Shack Cheeseburgers flying out of Miami International Airport as of Tuesday, June 3. The mouthwatering burgers are made with a 100-percent Angus beef patty and melted American cheese sandwiched in a toasted, squishy potato bun; diners can customize their order with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and the chain's signature ShackSauce. The beefy offering is available to customers seated in first class on eligible flights of over 900 miles—they are able to pre-order a cheeseburger as their meal option using the Fly Delta app or the link in their email, between 24 hours and seven days of departure. The cheeseburger is served alongside a Caesar salad, potato chips and a dark chocolate brownie. Miami is one of seven new Delta routes that have added Shake Shack to select flights, joining John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Orlando International Airport, Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, San Francisco International Airport and Salt Lake City International Airport. Along with Boston, markets like Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles and LaGuardia Airport in NYC already offer the Shake Shack in-flight items. 'Customers are raving about the Shake Shack experience onboard our flights after serving more than 10,000 burgers out of Boston since launching in December,' Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service, said in March. 'This is part of our work to partner with brands our customers already know and love while continuing to raise the bar for the in-flight experience – whether that's making your favorite cheeseburger available at 35,000 feet, or ensuring you have a variety of fresh meals to choose from that fuel you on your adventure.'

Levain and Pretty Cool Ice Cream debut new Cookies à la Mode collab next week
This summer, Levain Bakery —the NYC-born chain famed for its massive, gooey cookies—is scooping up some seasonal fun with a new limited-time offering: "Levain à la Mode" will see the dessert purveyor partner with local ice cream shops across the country to serve premium scoops alongside its iconic six-ounce cookies. And for the Chicago edition, the classic cookies-and-cream combo is getting a hometown boost courtesy of Pretty Cool Ice Cream. As part of the sweet partnership, the local parlor will offer an exclusive Toasted Vanilla Bean ice cream flavor alongside Levain Bakery cookies, available at Levain's Chicago bakeshops in Logan Square (2353 N. California Avenue) and Lincoln Park (709 W. Belden Avenue) starting Friday, May 30. Chef Dana Cree, who created the flavor exclusively for Levain, states: 'I'm a long-time fan of Pam and Connie, the creators of Levain Bakery, and jumped at the chance to partner with them—especially to help celebrate their 30th anniversary. The vanilla in our scoop is toasted, which I think will pair perfectly with the richness of their cookies.' The Cookies à la Mode special will be available throughout the summer for $10.50, including one cookie and one scoop of ice cream. Along with Chicago, Levain's à la mode offering will pop up at other top-rate scoop shops around the country this summer, with each local partner bringing their own twist on classic vanilla. Participating ice-cream parlors include Caffè Panna in New York City, Wanderlust Creamery in Los Angeles, J.P. Licks in Boston, Milk Jawn in Philadelphia and Dolcezza in Washington, D.C. 'There is no sweeter pairing than cookies and ice cream, and no better time to bring them together than during our 30th anniversary year,' said John Maguire, CEO of Levain Bakery. 'We're thrilled to partner with such incredible local ice cream makers to bring something extra special to our neighborhood bakeries this summer. Ice cream has long been one of the most requested treats from our customers. This collaboration is a fun, nostalgic way to surprise and delight them, while continuing to celebrate the community spirit and love of sweets that's defined Levain since 1995.'

Eataly is finally coming to Miami with new Aventura Mall location
After quite a long wait— Time Out Miami first reported on the news back in 2022 —Eataly is finally coming to the Sunshine State. Yes, the NYC-born Italian food emporium, which has more than 50 global locations spread across the United States, Italy, Japan, Brazil, Turkey, South Korea and more, is opening its first location in Florida at Miami's Aventura Mall in spring 2025. On Thursday, June 12 at 3pm, Eataly will debut a two-level store at the luxury shopping mall, on the Third Level near Nordstrom. As at other Eataly outposts, the Miami edition will celebrate Italian culture through markets, counters, cafés, restaurants, and educational offerings "that explore the best food and beverage options Italy's 20 regions and the world has to offer," per the brand. As one of the premier shopping destinations in the country, we couldn't be more thrilled to partner with Aventura Mall and the team at Turnberry on our first location in the state of Florida,' said Tommaso Brusò, CEO of Eataly North America. 'Our mission with Eataly Aventura is to transport guests to Italy without ever having to leave Miami-Dade County, and we are very much looking forward to bringing Eataly's one-of-a-kind experience to the community here.' The 30,000-square-foot space will feature two sit-down restaurants, a caffè with several quick-service counters, a retail section with house-made and made-in-Italy products, a wine store with a dedicated Riserva room, and a cooking school. As for the restos, diners will find La Pizza & La Pasta—a 300-seat concept specializing in Neapolitan-style pizza and artisanal pasta, naturally—and Il Pastaio, a 90-seat outlet dedicated to the art of fresh pasta. The quick-service counters will include La Pasticceria (a pastry depot with cakes, croissants and other baked goods), Panini (a counter dedicated to focaccia, panini and farcita) and Il Gelato, scooping freshly churned gelato and sorbetto creations. And the marketplace will be a home cook's haven, selling everything from pantry staples such as extra virgin olive oils, canned tomatoes, sauces, and bronze-extruded pastas to sweets, a diversity of salumi and formaggi, and special-occasion picks like gift boxes, caviar, and panettoni. Alongside the hundreds of Italian imports, customers can also find high-quality produce, meats, and grab-and-go meals from the made-in-Eataly line. Served from counter to restaurant, a selection of house-made fresh pasta (produced onsite daily) is available for cooking at-home. There's also a wine shop that focuses exclusively on Italian wines. Following opening day on June 12, Eataly at Aventura Mall will host 10 days of free, open-to-the-public programming in celebration of the new store, including producer showcases, hands-on tiramisu-making workshops, complimentary wine tastings, and more. You can check out the full schedule of events here.
