You can now get Shake Shack burgers on Delta flights out of Miami
As part of a wider expansion of the partnership between Delta Airlines and the beloved NYC-born patty purveyor—which first kicked off with flights out of Boston last December—Delta passengers can order Shake Shack Cheeseburgers flying out of Miami International Airport as of Tuesday, June 3. The mouthwatering burgers are made with a 100-percent Angus beef patty and melted American cheese sandwiched in a toasted, squishy potato bun; diners can customize their order with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and the chain's signature ShackSauce.
The beefy offering is available to customers seated in first class on eligible flights of over 900 miles—they are able to pre-order a cheeseburger as their meal option using the Fly Delta app or the link in their email, between 24 hours and seven days of departure. The cheeseburger is served alongside a Caesar salad, potato chips and a dark chocolate brownie.
Miami is one of seven new Delta routes that have added Shake Shack to select flights, joining John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Orlando International Airport, Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, San Francisco International Airport and Salt Lake City International Airport. Along with Boston, markets like Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles and LaGuardia Airport in NYC already offer the Shake Shack in-flight items.
'Customers are raving about the Shake Shack experience onboard our flights after serving more than 10,000 burgers out of Boston since launching in December,' Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service, said in March. 'This is part of our work to partner with brands our customers already know and love while continuing to raise the bar for the in-flight experience – whether that's making your favorite cheeseburger available at 35,000 feet, or ensuring you have a variety of fresh meals to choose from that fuel you on your adventure.'

Over the last few months, the team at City Walk has been busy creating a huge 25,000-square-foot licensed area in the heart of the destination called C2 in order to take the destination's foodie offering up a notch (or two). The area is currently home to eight restaurants but will soon be home to around 11 eateries that offer a diverse range of cuisines and dining experiences. Here's your handy guide on all of City Walk's newest restaurants: Baku Café City Walk restaurants. Credit: Baku Café Named after Azerbaijan's vibrant capital, Baku Café is where traditional Azeri flavours meet modern Dubai dining. The sleek spot first welcomed guests in 2017, later making the move to C2 to elevate its game – now with a curated selection of grape to match the menu. You'll find home-style classics done right: fragrant dolma wrapped in tender grape leaves, sizzling lamb saj straight from the pan, crisp and chewy qutabs, and rich, nutty pilaf fsinjan. On their soft opening menu, there are new contemporary dishes like wagyu cheese steak sandwich, lobster pops and crispy tuna bites katsu. More dishes are expected to be added in the near future. Pizzas – which range from the minimalist marinara to the burrata-loaded 'Burj Khalifa via traditional Napoletana' – are only briefly waved inside the blistering oven before they're slid onto a plate and served. The pizzeria, which was shortlisted in the Time Out Dubai Awards' Best Pizzeria category, hails from Naples, where hungry tourists queue from 10.30am to be first through the door at its original Italian location. From buttery croissants and crisp baguettes to classic French plates done right, this chic spot blends the warmth of a neighbourhood café with the polish of a refined bistro. Think soft seats, cool interiors, tasty food, signature cocktails, and hookahs that keep the vibe going. The space mixes open lounges with a VIP area tucked into canyon-like curves for a bit of extra privacy. It's the kind of place you settle into and suddenly realise you've been here all night. Credit: Mythos Kouzina & Grill Catering to the other side of town, the Greek eatery is also located in the licensed district. Much like its JLT counterpart, the interiors are light, bright and breezy, and the food is absolutely delicious. You can expect dishes such as a fava, a yellow split pea puree, feta in filo pastry, seafood yiouvetsi and kleftiko, a slow-cooked suckling goat. To accompany the fare, Mythos Urban Greek Eatery also serves up authentic Greek grapes, including some unusual varieties. Nola Bijou Bistro & Bar City Walk restaurants. Credit: Fans of Nola Eatery and Social House in JLT will now have another option when the craving for live jazz and Louisiana hospitality strikes. Bringing its famed New Orleans vibes to the new location, Nola in City Walk serves up classics from the popular menu along with some new additions. Inspired by 1920s Manhattan bars and cosy London townhouses, the venue features plush velvet, patinated leather, marble, brass accents, and lush greenery. The menu includes pistachio falafel, lamb and kimchi momos, tacos al pastor, wagyu tenderloin, and more, alongside inventive drinks served with theatrical rituals. Inside, there are pockets of booths which provide a bit of privacy away from the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant. The Marshall Islands gearing up for historic international football match
The Marshall Islands have long claimed to be 'the last nation on earth without a football team', and did not even have a federation until 2020, let alone the national set-up which has only existed for the last two and a half years. For some members of the squad, Thursday's meeting with the US Virgin Islands at the Outrigger Challenge Cup in Arkansas will be their first competitive game of 11 v 11 football – ever. 'There's a sort of unrealness to it that we can't believe it's actually happening,' Leicestershire-born Walley, who now lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, told the PA news agency. 'But we've been working very hard and we're really focused on what's ahead of us. We've already had several days of hard work and planning. Hopefully we will be as ready as we can be.' Springdale, Arkansas might seem like an odd choice of location for the Marshall Islands-hosted four-team tournament, but it is an area which, as of 2019, boasted the highest concentration of Marshallese in continental United States. Some members of the squad have been recruited from Majuro, the Kwajalein Atoll, and other parts of the Marshall Islands itself, with its population of around 37,500 – and no club football. Their technical director and head coach, Lloyd Owers, who joined in 2022, is based in Oxfordshire. As far as they are aware, the Marshall Islands is the only recognised UN member state not to have played an 11 v 11 international fixture. Some local to Majuro participated in an initial team meeting 18 months ago, but, revealed Walley: 'In terms of an actual national team training camp, this is the first one we have ever done. 'The guys flew in on Friday and Saturday, the first training session ever was on Saturday. We're trying to cram in five days of camp to be ready. 'We try to train like we would with any normal club side. We just try to develop what we've got. Some of the guys do play club football, some have never played 11-a-side. They've played futsal. 'We've been developing that all week, we've played a few sort of mini-games, so it's not as if they (will have) never played 11-a-side before, they will be ready.' Walley hopes what started out as a group of men with a vision – but no infrastructure – will lead to FIFA recognition by 2030 at the latest, though the first step is acceptance into a confederation. Funding for their big international debut has come from sponsorship, a £21,573 crowdfunding campaign, and about 2000 shirts sold over the last couple of years. 'I think people weren't taking us seriously,' admits Walley, who says the side want to give 'the best account of themselves possible' in their historic match. He added: 'They weren't thinking that we could possibly pull this off, playing national teams. We've come a long, long way in a short time.'
