Jade announces debut solo album That's Showbiz Baby! and first headline tour
The former Little Mix star has unveiled her first full body of work and announced her first solo UK and Ireland tour, which will take place this October and November.
The 'Angel of My Dreams' singer worked with huge names, including Mike Sabath, Lostboy, Cirkut, RAYE and Pablo Bowman on the collection.
The tour includes stops in Dublin, Belfast, Brighton, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and Newcastle, before wrapping at London's iconic Roundhouse.
Jade said: "This album has been years in the making, so I'm beyond excited that I can finally let everyone know when it's coming out. I'm very proud of 'That's Showbiz Baby!' as a body of work and can't wait to share it with the world. To be able to perform the album live later this year is also a dream come true. See you all on tour!"
The album's title is poignant as Jade recently admitted she possibly "sold her soul" for fame.
The 32-year-old pop star was in her late teens when she won the UK version of 'The X Factor' alongside Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson as part of Little Mix, but admitted that she just "signed on the dotted line" without really thinking about it.
Speaking on an episode of 'The Assembly' - in which all questions are asked by neurodivergent individuals - she was asked whether she felt as if she had "sold her soul" and replied: "You've trumped me ... Maybe a little bit in the beginning.
"I was so young and I just signed on the dotted line.
'But as the years have gone by I've learned more and more about the industry.
'I've been collecting — a bit like [Marvel superhero] Thanos with the stones — I've been collecting parts of my soul back as I've gained more creative freedom."
The 'IT Girl' hitmaker also admitted that she thinks the kind of way in which she became famous has been and gone but she is not entirely sure that music mogul Simon Cowell - who created 'The X Factor' and the 'Got Talent' franchises, and also headed up Syco Music - is going anywhere.
She said: "I think it's the end of that kind of TV show or music label.
"I think it's the end of that era.
'But I don't know if Simon Cowell specifically has ended.'
It was suggested previously that the lyric 'sold my soul to a psycho' from her 'Angel of my Dreams' track was a dig at Simon but Jade later clarified in an interview that that was not necessarily the case.
She told Beat magazine: 'It's not specifically about that.
'But I wanted the song to be my journey, from entering the music business to now, and what that's felt like. That's why the song feels so chaotic.
'The opening is like the music to that montage bit on The X Factor after you've won, and you're just catapulted into the industry.'
She added: 'I don't want to sit here and bash the last 13 years of my life. I'm very happy and content. But like with any job, there are highs and lows. That's just life, and it's my reality, but it's about writing it in a way that's not woe is me.'

Olly Murs says becoming a father has made helped him to 'relate to his mum's sadness' over his estrangement from his twin brother. Olly Murs praises 'hugely successful' X Factor
Olly Murs has praised The X Factor for launching so many huge stars. The Dance With Me Tonight hitmaker got his big break when he came second to Joe McElderry in the 2009 series of the show - which ended in 2018 after 15 seasons - and he's now praised the legacy of the programme for being a starting place for a string of "big careers" over the years. He told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I think there's no doubt we can all sit here and say that the X Factor was huge. "It's hugely successful for creating such stars, from the One Direction boys, to Harry Styles, Niall has obviously done things, Louis, I mean, all the boys from that band came out and did great stuff. "You know, me, James Arthur, Little Mix, Lucy Spraggan – there's some real, I mean, the list goes on and on, to be honest. Alexandra Burke! There have been endless people who have come. Stacey Solomon, of course, even though she's not doing music, she's doing so well herself. "There's just so many over the years that have just had such big careers. That's the thing. That's what the show was built on, bringing young people off the street or young people an opportunity and a chance to change their lives forever. We took it and embraced it and look where we are now." Meanwhile, Olly will be taking to the stage for the closing headline slot at Hardwick Live festival on 17 August. Talk shit get a hit! Aussie party starters Confidence Man have joined forces with pop powerhouse JADE to give us something to talk about in this week's Feature Video, 'gossip'. Serving five lowball glasses of scandalous hearsay, with a side of side-eyes (WHAT DID TINA SAY??), this East London lock-in is a debauched spin of the Russian-roulette wheel from director India Harris. Having worked with both artists previously; with Con Man on clips like 'Sicko' and 'Now U Do', and with Jade on 'Plastic Box', this project was a match made in the pub. 'I loved the 00's weirdo club vibe of the track so straight up I knew the video had to be some kind of bonkers narrative' says India. 'The concept sparked from the idea that a disjointed bar full of cloned versions of the same person, somehow became synchronised in a moment before descending into chaos… We went fully cinematic with a letterbox aspect ratio and played with wide-lensed, dutch angles for that pulp, 90's Tarantino vibe. Bring Jade's perfect character building into the madness of Confidence Man's world and voila!' Confidence Man's Janet Planet and Sugar Bones, alongside JADE, all give perfectly bitchy-and-inebriated performances, almost like these were the roles they were born to play (sorry, lol), while India sets them up in all kinds of eccentric scenarios, filled with gun-barrel perspectives, cocktail-sipping, Russian-roulette showdowns, and floor-humping dance moves. The classic Con Man irony intersects with spaghetti western, Mafia and dive bar energy in a truly jam-packed three and a half minutes. 'Indi went full throttle on this one' adds Janet. 'Dramatic, sexy and dumb as all hell. Conman in our element doing what we do best. And bringing Jade into our druggy messed- up world was simply an honour.'
