Live from Delaware, it's Saturday Night! I, NAS204PSU, am here to bring you this Saturday Night Open Thread (aka SNOT).
Another week passes, but it's mostly a non-event. March Madness (or mid-ness if you prefer upsets), is on going, just like the QB limbo situation. Feels like nothing will be resolved for weeks, so enjoy the nicer weather (assuming it is getting nicer where you are)

This 6 pack of questions is here to get the conversation going is below, also let us know what you're eating/drinking!
Former Steeler Trai Essex is in the news telling Broderick Jones he could be on the outside if he doesn't transition well to left tackle this year. Tell me what the odds are that BJ balls out this year at LT? (Example: 10to 1, 50/50, etc)
What is the better Mike Tomlin-ism
A) The standard is the standard.
B) …and things of that nature.
C) I want volunteers not hostages.
D) We will unleash hell here in December.
E) other: provide in comments.
3. Green Bay has proposed eliminating the tush-push by banning the offense from pushing teammates. Do you support eliminating it or would you rather keep this play?
4. It's Women's History Month and The Steelers are hosting a Girls Flag football league today(highschool and college ages). Given that it's flag football but there are still injury risks, would you advise your daughter/sister/niece/ female friend/etc play flag football?
5. Spring is here, and it's yard sale season. Do you have a lot of stuff you need to sell? If so what is it?
6. Going through a kitchen renovation, so we are without an oven, sink, dishwasher etc for a few months. We are making do with hot plates and microwave. What's your favorite creative recipe for a microwave/ toaster /odd appliance etc? (Example : coffee mug cake)

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns already have plenty of ill will in their bitter AFC North rivalry, but Myles Garrett has stoked the flames with a lighthearted yet stern message to Aaron Rogders. originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The AFC North carries a rich history of rivalry and competition between the four combatants. Close geography and impassioned disdain usually make for grueling battles when the teams cross paths. Advertisement Given all the history and the connections between franchises, these games never really need any extra juice. Regardless of record or circumstance each of the four teams never have an issue getting up for these contests. The Cleveland Browns served as a perfect example of this phenomenon in 2024. A disastrous campaign that saw the team go 3-14 and lose starting quarterback Deshaun Watson did not keep them from being a thorn in the side of their rivals. Cleveland picked off both playoff teams that emerged from the North, beating the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers in shocking upsets last season. Ahead of the 2025 campaign, defensive superstar Myles Garrett has already launched a bold callout of the latter. He sent a message to new Steelers quarterback Aaaron Rodgers Tuesday during media availability, claiming he wanted to put Aaron Rodgers "in the graveyard." The graveyard would seem to be a reference to a clever Halloween decoration at Garrett's home a few years ago, depicting tombstones of quarterbacks that had fallen victim to a sack on his part. Advertisement It may be in good fun but stands as a verifiable threat given Garrett's decorated resumé. The two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year has not had less than 12 sacks in a season since 2019. Garrett would be eager to at Rodgers' new No. 8 to his collection. Of the 102.5 sacks he has registered in his career, not one has come against Rodgers. To be fair, he has only gotten one chance which game in a game against the Green Bay Packers on Dec. 25, 2021. He will have two chances in 2025 to put that feather in his cap when the teams meet in Week 6 and Week 17. Steelers star skips the start of mandatory minicamp

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – Pittsburgh Steelers star linebacker T.J. Watt skipped the first day of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. The four-time All-Pro and 2021 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year is entering the final season of the four-year extension he signed in September 2021. Complicating matters is the $40 million deal signed by Cleveland's Myles Garrett in March, which made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. 'Certainly we'd like him to be here, but certainly not surprised by where we are,' said Pittsburgh coach Mike Tomlin. 'We've expressed the desire to get the business done, he has as well, and so we'll continue to work. We've been here before.' Watt finished the 2024 season with 11 1/2 sacks. His absence from mandatory mini-camp provided opportunities for linebacker Nick Herbig and rookie Jack Sawyer. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. DK Metcalf Turning Heads During First Day of Steelers Practice

DK Metcalf Turning Heads During First Day of Steelers Practice originally appeared on Athlon Sports. One of the biggest moves the Pittsburgh Steelers made this offseason was trading for Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf and then signing him to a four-year, $132 million contract with $60 million guaranteed. Advertisement After six years with the Seahawks, accumulating 438 receptions, 6,324 yards and 48 touchdowns on 726 targets, there's hope he can come in and be a big boost to the team's offense in 2025. Of course, after they also signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a one-year, $13.6 million deal and traded wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys, it's sure to be an interesting season. Now, though, it's time to get to work, and on Tuesday, the team posted a video of Metcalf at Pittsburgh's mandatory minicamp, which was also the first time he'd suited up for them after skipping OTAs (May 27 to June 5) The video has quickly caught the attention of many Steelers fans, who have been revealing both their high hopes for the upcoming season and their excitement to see the new wide receiver in action. Advertisement "They might actually win something this year," one said. "DK Metcalf is really a steeler. Who has it better than us?" Another said. "We're going to the Super Bowl," a third added. "Perfect throw perfect catch woooof LFG," a fourth said. 'DK's not a hands catcher,' they said. Interesting," a fifth continued. "WE ARE BACK LIKE WE BEVER BEEN BACK," another said.
