CBS, TNT to provide exclusive MSU coverage during March Madness
Fans will be given an inside look at Michigan State basketball during the NCAA Tournament this year.
The Spartans were one of six teams selected to be to included "NCAA March Madness Confidential" -- which is a show that provides exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of teams during the NCAA Tournament. The other five schools that will be featured in this year's show are Auburn, Texas Tech, Kentucky, Clemson and UConn.
The show is put on by CBS Sports and TNT Sports, and is returning for another season this March Madness.The coverage will be part of CBS Sports and TNT Sports pregame and postgame shows along with content on social media.
Michigan State opens the NCAA Tournament on Friday with a first round game against No. 15 seed Bryant. That game is scheduled to tip off at 10 p.m. ET on TBS.

Jamal Rule of Charlotte announced on Monday that he's received an offer from the Spartans. Rule made the Michigan State offer known by posting on his social media X account. Rule is a three-star running back prospect in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. He holds a recruiting rating of 87.26 and is ranked as the No. 46 running back in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. Michigan State is one of nearly 15 schools to offer Rule, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Boston College, Nebraska, Syracuse, NC State, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Pitt, Wisconsin, Appalachian State, James Madison, Liberty, Miami (OH) and Elon. The offer for Rule from the Spartans comes on the same day that four-star running back Damon Ferguson committed to Pitt over Michigan State. The Spartans have yet to land a running back commitment in the 2026 class and it appears Rule may be their next big target they are focusing on moving forward. MSU football set to host 3-star WR Rai'shawn Elmore for official visit this week A three-star wide receiver prospect from North Carolina is set to take an official visit to Michigan State this week. Rai'shawn Elmore of Indian Trail, N.C. will be taking an official visit to Michigan State this upcoming weekend. Elmore posted on his social media X account about the upcoming visit to Michigan State on Monday. Elmore is a three-star prospect in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. He holds a recruiting rating of 86 on 247Sports, and ranks as the No. 195 wide receiver within the class. He is also ranked as the No. 42 player from North Carolina in the class. Michigan State is one of only a few schools to offer Elmore at this point in his recruitment. According to 247Sports, he also holds offers from East Carolina, Charlotte, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Liberty and James Madison. Elmore has already taken an official visit to Charlotte last weekend, and is scheduled to visit East Carolina next weekend. Alabama picks up transfer portal commitment from in-state foe Alabama baseball picked up its fourth offseason commitment from the transfer portal on Monday. Former South Alabama infielder Brennan Holt, who spent a year at LSU and a year at Oklahoma State, announced his decision to transfer to the Crimson Tide in a post to social media. Holt joins pitchers Matthew Tippie (Texas State) and Kaden Humphrey (North Florida) and infielder Justin Osterhouse (Purdue-Fort Wayne) as players Alabama has added via the portal since its season ended with a 6-5 loss to Southern Miss at the Hattiesburg Regional of the NCAA Tournament on May 31. A product of Parkview Baptist School in Baton Rouge, Holt spent the past two seasons at South Alabama after committing to LSU in 2020. He was rated the No. 5 overall recruit in Louisiana by Perfect Game coming out of high school. Holt spent one season with the Tigers in 2022 and appeared in five games before obtaining a medical redshirt due to injury and transferring to Oklahoma State for his sophomore season in 2023. He played in 34 games for the Cowboys and batted .173 (11-for-52). As a redshirt sophomore in 2024, Holt started all 56 games for South Alabama and batted .266 with three home runs, 15 doubles and 24 RBIs. His average rose to .303 as a junior this past season, clubbing six home runs to go with 14 doubles. Holt primarily played second base and was the Jags' leadoff hitter. He stole 29 bases over two seasons with South Alabama, which finished 23-28 overall in the Sun Belt conference this year. Alabama capped the 2025 season at 41-18 overall and were 16-14 in SEC play during the regular season in coach Rob Vaughn's second year in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide's 40 victories in the regular season marked the first time since 2002 that Alabama had posted 40 or more wins in a regular season. Alabama was the No. 2 seed at the Hattiesburg Regional and was ranked No. 20 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll entering the NCAA Tournament.
