Colleen Bready's Forecast: More storms possible
We could be in for another round of severe weather on Friday in southern Manitoba as this week's atmospheric instability continues.
Amidst the smoke, non-severe thunderstorms moved through Winnipeg Friday morning. Showers and thunderstorms continue to push northward Friday afternoon through the Interlake.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says heavy rainfall is forecasted for west-central Manitoba on Friday into Saturday, with precipitation possibly exceeding 50 mm by Sunday.
Further north, Flin Flon and Thompson - two communities with nearby wildfires - could see anywhere from 10 to 20 mm of much-needed showers on Saturday.

Back in the south, the weather agency says severe weather is expected across the region Friday, with the highest risk in the southeast.
According to ECCC, all types of severe weather are possible in the southeast, adding a tornado threat that will be limited to thunderstorms that could develop early this evening.
Meanwhile, an air quality warning continues for much of the province as far south as Winnipeg and Brandon.
ECCC says south winds will strengthen Friday that could push smoke out of the area, but that means it will head further north into areas already contending with smoke.
The weekend in Winnipeg could start out soggy on Saturday with possible showers at times before a drier Sunday. Temperatures both days are expected to reach around 24 C.
