Prince Andrew 'slept with more than dozen women in first year of marriage', book claims

Daily Mirror3 days ago
The Duke and Duchess of York are alleged to have both had affairs with their troubled marriage riddled with infidelity and they shared few mutual interests, according to a new book
Prince Andrew 'slept with more than a dozen women' in the first year of his marriage to Sarah Ferguson, an explosive book claims.

The biography of the Duke and Duchess of York by historian Andrew Lownie alleges Fergie wanted to be 'The One' but enjoyed several affairs of her own with 'reckless abandon'. Lownie, who has written several acclaimed books on the royal family, details claims the York's troubled marriage was riddled with infidelity. Within weeks of their lavish wedding in 1986, Fergie is said to have realised the marriage was a mistake as they had few mutual interests.

And, with Andrew regularly away on Navy duty, it has been claimed that she embarked on numerous flings. It comes after reports of William and Kate Middleton's fears over move with kids after Royal Family 'bad blood'.

Disgraced Andrew, who was forced to step down from royal duties over his relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, allegedly told his new wife early on: 'I am a prince, then a naval officer, then a husband.'
Lownie details claims from a former driver who worked for the couple that Andrew slept with more than 12 women before their first anniversary. The author also alleges Andrew has slept with over 1,000 women in his life.
Lownie claims the list includes adult film stars, political figures, and nightclub staff and bartenders. One 20-year-old model alleged: 'He wanted me to engage in kinky sexual activity. He had no boundaries. He told me he had an open marriage arrangement with his wife. I felt like he used me for a few days, so he could live his wildest fantasies.'

Lownie also claims that when Andrew represented the crown at the King of Thailand's Diamond Jubilee in 2006, he demanded more than 40 women be sent to his hotel room.
The book, titled Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, quotes a witness who claims: 'Often, as soon as one left, another would arrive.' Some days more than 10 women are said to have gone to the Duke's hotel room.

The allegations in the book have so far drawn no response from Buckingham Palace or the Yorks' representatives. Andrew and Sarah enjoyed a whirlwind romance in 1985 and were engaged a year later. Lownie writes that Andrew had been deeply unsettled when his American actress ex-girlfriend Koo Stark married another man.
Fergie, meanwhile, 'despaired' of her racing driver boyfriend Paddy McNally's refusal to propose. While she had been known in royal circles for years, the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip instantly took a dislike to her, it is claimed.
The book quotes the late Queen as saying: 'Does that girl never stop talking!' The Duke of Edinburgh 'thought she was a girl on the make'. Royal staff also quickly became tired of Fergie's 'relentless demands and her affairs', it is alleged.

The book claims the couple would return from nights out and demand 'staff cook her and guest a meal, even though they had been up since 6.30am'. When she was invited to Highgrove, Charles's country estate, housekeeper Wendy Berry noticed how the 'rather frumpy Sloane' had turned into 'a very demanding young madam' who was 'obviously loving every moment of her newfound importance'.
Lownie also claims that while Fergie was staying in the French ski resort of Meribel she insisted the maids call her ma'am and curtsey to her at all times. He writes she would tell them to spend hours cooking a meal before deciding to dine out instead.

In 1989, she struck up a romance with American Steve Wyatt and later, when he returned to the US to make a name for himself, she got involved with his Texan pal John Bryan. The births of the Yorks' two daughters, Beatrice in 1988 and Eugenie the following March, did nothing to save their doomed relationship.
The Duchess struggled with her weight during and after pregnancy and the book claims that, according to a friend, their sex life then ended. The friend said: 'Sarah is a sensual woman who needs to be loved and likes to show affection.'

Fergie apparently ignored advice from the late Queen to sever contact with Wyatt after she invited him to a Buckingham Palace event in 1990 to mark the Queen Mother's 90th birthday, Princess Margaret's 60th, Princess Anne's 40th and Andrew's 30th.
Soon after, she reportedly began the affair with businessman Bryan, who invited her to dinner at a swanky restaurant, less than a minute away from his flat in Chelsea, West London.
Lownie claims they slept together that night, after which Bryan is said to have reflected: 'Here she was jumping into bed with me. I couldn't believe anyone behaved with such reckless abandon.'

Photos of the pair frolicking on holiday made the front page of the Daily Mirror in 1992, but the book claims Andrew made his peace with his wife's affairs. The marriage did not survive however.
The book quotes a palace insider claiming the Queen 'finally lost patience with the Duchess', and the public humiliation of her son. 'It all had to end,' the source added and Andrew was told to divorce the woman he still loved.
The Queen, who had cleared many of Fergie's debts in the past, agreed to pay off her £300,000 overdraft, provide a home for her and the couple's daughters, and place £1.4million in trust for the girls.

Fergie was stripped of her HRH title and barred from royal duties. But she and Andrew have remained close and both now live in Andrew's Royal Lodge mansion at Windsor.
The book claims that in spite of their differences and rollercoaster relationship, 'the two need each other'. Lownie quotes a friend as remarking: 'Andrew is nothing without a woman.
'He's sweet, but also rather clunky and gauche. He needs someone who can navigate his life for him.'
Andrew is reported to now understand his 'initial neglect of his ex-wife', leading him to remain loyal to her, despite her behaviour. In turn, after Andrew's fall from grace over Epstein, Sarah has proved to be his most loyal supporter. A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of York was contacted for comment.

Royal sparks outrage with outfit 'no other princess would dare to wear'

A row has erupted over a t-shirt worn by Princess Isabella. A senior member of the Danish Royal family has stirred controversy after donning a T-shirt featuring a profane slogan at a music event. ‌ Princess Isabella, the eldest daughter of Queen Mary and King Frederik, opted for an extremely relaxed look at the trendy music festival Smukfest in Skanderborg on Thursday. ‌ The princess, who recently marked her 18th birthday, was snapped relishing the occasion with her mates, appearing wonderfully carefree. Her elder brother Prince Christian, 19, was also present, but it was Isabella's edgy band shirt that captured the interest of Danish Royal observers. ‌ Isabella was spotted wearing a vibrant orange bucket hat paired with a black T-shirt bearing a message that roughly translates to "F***** him yesterday". The garment is merchandise from Suspekt, a Danish hip-hop act renowned for their gritty and provocative lyrics. The group's songs are recognised for being bold, aggressive and occasionally explicit, with Isabella's shirt referencing their track entitled "F****** her yesterday", reports the Mirror. Isabella's clothing selection prompted concern amongst certain Danish commentators, according to Newsau, with political analyst Jarl Cordua contending that there are "limits" to "appropriate" Royal conduct. ‌ "I'm in favour of the royals letting loose a little. They always have. They should definitely be allowed to. BUT. There are limits," he stated. "We'll probably live with that shirt, but I wouldn't recommend making it a habit. Being royal is an obligation. And it's probably time for someone to tell her [Isabella] that." ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! However, some have praised the refreshing departure from traditional Royal norms. Danish TV host Jim Lyngvild defended the move, stating: "It shows that there is a new king who has, in many ways, an ordinary family that represents today's values. ‌ "The era of ladies in hats is over, Princess Isabella is in. I LOVE that our Royal youngsters also have personality and courage – and don't follow the neat pleated flow. There are no other princesses in the world who would dare to do that." This comes as another Royal fashion choice stirred controversy this week, but this time closer to home. Sarah Ferguson seemed to make a bold statement with her footwear, following shocking allegations about her extravagant spending and infidelity in a sensational new book. The Duchess of York shared a photo on Instagram of herself at a book signing event for her romantic novel, Her Heart for a Compass - just hours after claims surfaced in a new biography about her and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew 's tumultuous and scandal-ridden lifestyle, including how she had debts amounting to hundreds of thousands of pounds settled by the late Queen after living a life of "opulent excess". In her most recent post on Instagram, she sported a pair of shoes at last month's event bearing a phrase often associated with the Royal Family and the late Queen. Her navy slip-on shoes were embroidered with 'Never Complain' and 'Never Explain'. The mantra is widely recognised as a principle the Royal Family has adhered to for decades - and something the late Queen seemed to have embodied throughout her 70-year reign.

Piers Morgan makes humbling Jake Paul climbdown ahead of potential Anthony Joshua fight

Piers Morgan has been outspoken with his views on Jake Paul's boxing career but the broadcaster has changed his tune amid speculation the YouTuber will fight Anthony Joshua next Piers Morgan has clarified a recent social media post where he claimed that Jake Paul 's boxing career to date had been 'boring staged b******' amid speculation the YouTuber turned boxer could soon fight Anthony Joshua. ‌ Paul, 28, initially found fame on YouTube but has won 12 fights since turning his hand to boxing in 2020. The American holds victories over boxing legends Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at heavyweight and cruiserweight respectively and has also beaten the former UFC star, Nate Diaz, in a boxing ring. ‌ Not everybody has been won over by Paul's performances in the ring, though, with Morgan taking aim at him recently. ‌ But following suggestions that Paul could be the next person to step into the ring with the former two-time world heavyweight champion, AJ, Morgan has changed his tune. The former Good Morning Britain host shared a social media post on Saturday where he stressed that his issue with Paul has been his bouts against athletes who are no longer at the peak of their powers; something which would not apply with AJ. 'I posted a few weeks ago that Jake Paul's boxing career has been 'boring staged bullsh*t,' Morgan wrote in a post on X. 'What I meant is that his fights have been predominantly against older, past-their-prime opponents, which may be lucrative for both sides, and may have entertainment value, but don't reveal how he stacks up against currently ranked boxers and therefore are not a good look for the sport. I did not intend to suggest that the outcome was predetermined and certainly didn't mean to suggest anything illegal. 'But if reports are correct that Jake is now in negotiations to fight Anthony Joshua, that would obviously be a seriously credible bout against one of the best heavyweights in the world. Jake is welcome to come on Uncensored to discuss this, and verbally slug it out with me, anytime.' While talk of a crossover bout between Paul and Joshua has been scoffed at in some quarters, AJ's long-time promoter, Eddie Hearn, recently admitted it could happen. 'This is very real,' he told The Ring. 'I had a good chat for about an hour with Nakisa on [July 30] and now I believe they want the fight. I really do. 'Nakisa was very honest and he's concerned about the fight, but Jake truly believes he can win the fight or at least be competitive in it. And now because of the size of the fight, it leads me to believe there's a very good chance it could happen. If I had to rate that chance I would say it's 50:50. It was a very positive conversation and we expect that conversation to extend over the coming weeks. If they really want it, it will happen.'

Love Island's Toni issues savage response to Harrison's 'bitter eye roll' during final

Love Island fans were enraged during the final when they suspected Harrison rolled his eyes at ex Toni and her partner Cach - and now the American bombshell has issued a response It's almost been a week since the Love Island final, but American bombshell Toni has finally issued a response to Harrison's 'salty' behaviour towards her huge revelation. ‌ It was a double whammy for Toni and Cach on Monday night. Not only did they take home the £50,000 prize fund, but Toni also revealed that Cach had told her he loved her the night before. ‌ As they shared the happy news with the audience, fans couldn't help but notice Harrison's 'salty' reaction as he sat in the crowd with his partner Lauren. It comes as Toni and Cach stormed to victory and won the series. ‌ Just before announcing the winner, host Maya Jama wanted all the gossip on how and when Cach dropped the L Bomb, but it seemed Harrison was far from interested. Lauren was seen looking at Harrison, and both of them gave an awkward reaction, fans claimed. The camera then panned back to them seconds later and once again the same thing happened. Some viewers were suggesting Harrison and Lauren were "bitter" or "salty" about it given the drama on the show, with Harrison looking like he was smirking. However, others thought it may just be the awkwardness of the camera on them. ‌ It looks like the reaction didn't go amiss for Toni as she and Cach spoke to Dean Mccullough on BBC Radio 1. Asking whether they'd seen Harrison "eye roll" while Maya was speaking to them during the final, the pair confirmed that they had. "What are your thoughts? Cach, you look confused," Dean said as he explained that Harrison 'rolled his eyes' when Cach said he loved Toni. Toni didn't hold back as she questioned: "Was he being bitter? Be better not bitter!" ‌ Fans were in stiches at the bombshell's response, as one wrote: "Toni's voice is so funny. i love the vindication she's living through rn," as another penned: "Toni and her one liners lol." "Toni and Cach catching every little detail like hawks!" exclaimed a third fan. Toni and Harrison struck up an instant connection when he took her on a date as soon as he entered the villa. However, it appeared the 'Yung Bull' had wondering eyes, as he proceeded to get to know, and share a couple of kisses, with Helena. When Casa Amor came around, Harrison found a connection with Lauren, while Toni got to know Cach. However, it seemed like they couldn't stay away from each other in villa, and despite being intimate with Lauren, Harrison persuaded Toni to couple up with him. The move left both Cach and Lauren in tears, and things went downhill for the couple when Toni found out Harrison and Lauren had been intimate together. Lauren was then dumped from the villa when new bombshell Angel arrived - with Harrison deciding to leave with her.
