Commanders agree to deal with Von Miller in effort to bolster their pass rush: report
The team reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with star edge rusher Von Miller. He posted an automated image of himself wearing a Commanders jersey to social media

Miller, 36, is the NFL's active sack leader with 129.5 career sacks. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft had six sacks in 13 games last season with the Buffalo Bills in a rotational role.
Miller was cut by the Bills just three seasons into a six-year deal reportedly worth $120 million. In his first season with the Bills, Miller had eight sacks in 11 games before he tore his ACL on Thanksgiving Day in 2022, which ended his season.
The three-time All-Pro was activated in October of the following season, but was a non-factor as he did not have a single sack in 12 games played in the 2023 season.
Despite not being the vaunted pass-rusher he once was, Miller will provide a boost to the Commanders' pass rush. The eight-time Pro Bowler will join Dorance Armstrong, Deatrich Wise Jr., and Jacob Martin as the pass rushers.
The Commanders have had an active offseason after they won 12 games and made it to the NFC Championship Game with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels at the helm.
The team went out and acquired star left tackle Laremy Tunsil from the Houston Texans and star wide receiver Deebo Samuel from the San Francisco 49ers. The two moves come with Daniels in mind, as they provide him with more stability on the offensive line and another weapon at wide receiver.

College football recruiting rankings have a new No. 1
The Georgia Bulldogs have the best recruiting class in the SEC for several weeks and now, after a recent recruiting rankings update, the Dawgs have the best recruiting class in the country. Georgia recently surpassed the USC Trojans. USC had held the nation's top recruiting class for several months. The LSU Tigers have just 16 commitments, but have the highest ranked average commitment (93.67) of any top 10 recruiting team on 247Sports. Commanders QB Jayden Daniels 'striving to be a perfect player'
A popular topic in a boring offseason for some was to predict that Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels would have a sophomore slump in 2025. Washington coaches and teammates disagree with that assessment because they see Daniels every day. Teammates and coaches see Daniels arrive first at the facility. They see Daniels never placing himself above the team, always rooting his teammates on, from long snapper Tyler Ott to star wide receiver Terry McLaurin. They also see how hard he works, not just in the weight room and on the practice field, but in the meeting rooms, too. Daniels is always looking for ways to improve and gain an edge over that week's opponent. ESPN SportsCenter visited Washington's training camp on Sunday, and Daniels joined the set where he discussed everything from staying grounded to his expectations for himself. "I think it's the humility part, being grounded and never letting your ego, especially in the quarterback room, we always say, 'Check your egos at the door,' and that's the main thing they harp on," Daniels said. "Because everybody has egos. Everybody is selfish in their own ways. As human beings, that's just human nature. But for us, it's like, 'How can I just go out there and take that away from me?' Push the ego out of the way, and how can I be able to grow and get better because I still got so much to learn. I'm striving to be a perfect player." How many other young quarterbacks talk like that? Daniels is different. After coming off a record-breaking rookie year in which he led Washington to its best season in 33 years, Daniels is looking for ways to get better. He's looking for ways to get past the Eagles. While no human being is perfect, on and off the field, there's nothing wrong with striving to be perfect.
