Somerville man arrested after leading deputies on chase in stolen vehicle in Morgan County
MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A Somerville man was arrested after leading deputies on a chase in a stolen vehicle.
On May 18, deputies received a tip that a black GMC Yukon was reported stolen out of Marshall County and may be around the Hulaco and Somerville area.
While patrolling the area, deputies noticed a vehicle matching the description driving through the Highway 36 and Highway 67 intersection in Somerville.
MCSO said that the vehicle didn't stop after deputies tried to pull the car over.
According to authorities, the vehicle was driving recklessly through the Cotaco, Union Hill, and Hulaco areas.
Eventually, deputies were able to get the vehicle to stop on Hog Jaw Road. MCSO said that the driver was identified as Homer Alan Talley, 50 of Somerville.
Talley was arrested and charged with attempting to elude a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and 27 uniform traffic citations. Talley is being held without bond due to his attempting to elude warrant.
He received a $128,000 bond on the other charges. He also faces charges from other agencies, according to authorities.
