
HM King hails Bahraini medical professionals

HM the King made the remarks while receiving senior members of the royal family, senior officials, citizens, and a group of distinguished medical professionals at Sakhir Palace. Following a recitation from the Holy Quran, His Majesty delivered a royal address reaffirming Bahrain's long-standing tradition of direct engagement with all segments of society.
He underscored the importance of honouring citizens whose achievements in national service bring pride to the Kingdom.
HM King Hamad noted that Bahrain's healthcare system, with roots dating back to the late 1800s, has achieved remarkable growth, driven by national development and the outstanding efforts of its professionals.
He commended the sector's most notable achievements, shaped by Bahraini expertise, which continue to enhance the system and inspire future generations.
His Majesty expressed appreciation to the Minister of Health and all healthcare professionals for their contributions to improving healthcare quality and consolidating Bahrain's prominent standing in this vital sector.
Following the address, the medical professionals had the honour of greeting HM the King, who congratulated them on their achievements, expressed gratitude for their service to public health, and extended best wishes for their continued success in serving the Kingdom.

The Cabinet welcomed the World Health Organization's (WHO) accreditation of the Muharraq and Northern Governorates as "Healthy Governorates," joining the Capital Governorate, the first in the Eastern Mediterranean region to receive this designation. Muharraq Celebrates WHO Recognition as a ‘Healthy Governorate'
Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, on behalf of the people of Muharraq, extended heartfelt thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their leadership and support following the World Health Organization's recognition of Muharraq as a 'Healthy Governorate' under the Healthy Cities Program. Governor Al Mannai said this international recognition reflects the leadership's clear vision and commitment to developing infrastructure, strengthening medical, educational, and social facilities, and providing fully integrated public service centers. He emphasized that these efforts have improved public health and enhanced Bahrain's standing among nations striving to achieve sustainable development goals.
