The Princess of Wales made a touching gesture to the brother of a teenage girl who died from cancer.
Catherine met with the family of Liz Hatton, the inspirational teenage photographer who captured global attention by photographing an investiture as part of her bucket list.
The Prince and Princess of Wales met Liz's mother Vicky and stepfather Aaron, along with her nine-year-old brother Mateo at the Buckingham Palace Garden Party on Tuesday (20 May).
As well as asking Mateo how he was, Kate also volunteered to be involved in any future fundraising.

EMMERDALE star Danny Miller has issued a heartbreaking update on his father's dementia battle. The actor caused confusion amongst his fans when he discussed his life away from the Dales during an appearance on Loose Women. 7 7 7 Danny, 40, took to his Instagram story to release a statement where he clarified that his father has not died. The I'm A Celeb winner admitted that whilst his parent is still very much alive, he's just 'lost' the person he used to be due to the memory loss condition. The soap star wrote: "Hey Guys! Just feel the need to say my Dad is very much still with us. "I've lost my dad" [was] in context meaning that I have lost the person he WAS to Dementia." The Emmerdale actor added: "Sorry for anyone's confusion and/or upset if it has been taken wrong. "But Big Vince lives on, just through a horrible illness. Lots of love x." The actor caused confusion when he chatted to fan favourite ITV pannellist Denise Welch, 67. The former Waterloo Road actress mentioned his 90-year-old father whom she was been good friends with for a number of years. In response he said: "The truth of the matter is that I have lost my dad. That's hard for me to cope with because I really, really, miss him. "I really miss picking up the phone to him, it's just not possible anymore." "Sometimes when we visit the care home we get the opportunity to have a good visit, and there are bad visits as well." Danny has played Aaron Dingle on the soap since 2008 and he was invited onto the ITV daytime panel to speak about his dramatic wedding storyline. The star has also been open up about the behind-the-scenes medical family matter to his followers on social media. On the show he admitted: "I wanted to log that and put that in almost an Instagram journal because I know there are lots of people, and people that I've touched, made relationships in America, that have got the same thing and are looking after their dad. Aaron Dingle's biggest storylines The character Aaron Dingle (formerly Livesy) made his Emmerdale debut all the way back in 2003. Current actor Danny Miller took on the role in 2008. Sylvie went to therapy in the first place because she's been in some toxic relationships where she lost her sense of self. She wanted to work out who she is, but the more her obsession grows, the more in danger she is of losing herself completely. A book full of wisdom about desire and how difficult but life-changing vulnerability can be. Clever and funny.

Lisa Riley has revealed her extensive glam preparations ahead of the 2025 British Soap Awards, which take place on Saturday. The Emmerdale star, 48, took to her Instagram page on Friday with a hilarious selfie of her with a foam moustache. At the time, ITV confirmed that Coronation Street and Emmerdale would be moving to a new scheduling pattern amid ongoing budget cuts, while a number of cast have either quit or have been axed in recent months. Addressing the lack of job security, Lisa revealed in an interview that she's well aware her position on the soap can change at any moment, noting that producer's treat the cast 'like chess pieces' when it comes to the control of their fate. She told The Mirror: 'We are all jobbing actors on the soap and there is never a day where we come in and go: "Oh we are safe". We are a chess piece on the producer's board. Whatever they bring to us, we bring it to the screen. 'And there is always going to be a day when a new producer might come in and need a big wipe out. That is what keeps the audience involved too and so we have to keep up with the climate of what people expect.' Despite sometimes facing job uncertainty, Lisa told how she loves being on the soap as she praised just how hard soap operas work in comparison to other dramas. She added: 'Whenever I am out and about, people tell me: "We love Emmerdale". The fact that I get to be part of it is wonderful. ITV make some big dramas that can be five episodes long. We do five parts in a week. The hamster wheel never stops.' Lisa's talk about episodes comes amid a huge shake-up for both Coronation Street and Emmerdale as episodes have been slashed as ITV budget cuts rage on. During this time, Emmerdale aired six episodes weekly, Monday to Friday with a double bill on Thursdays. Meanwhile, Coronation Street also aired six episodes per week, with two episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Now, only five 30-minute episodes of each show air - a real terms cut to soap broadcast time of 17%. Bosses introduced a soaps power hour from Monday to Friday with 30-minute Emmerdale episodes airing at 8pm and 30-minute Coronation Street episodes airing at 8:30pm. However, each episode will continue to drop at 7am on ITVX before transmission that same evening.
