Sooners earn prediction for 2026 Linebacker Beau Jandreau
The Oklahoma Sooners earned their first defensive commitment of the 2026 recruiting class on Tuesday night, earning a pledge from safety Niko Jandreau out of Chandler, Arizona. But that might not be the only Hamilton High product to wear the crimson and cream in the future.
The Sooners are also pursuing Niko's twin brother, three-star linebacker Beau Jandreau. On Tuesday night, Parker Thune of OUInsider and Rivals issued a Futurecast favoring OU.
According to 247Sports, Beau Jandreau holds offers from Oklahoma, USC, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Cal, Kansas State, Missouri, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Notre Dame.
Much like his brother Niko, Beau plays fast, and he plays the linebacker position with physicality. He doesn't just play to the man, he plays through the man, arriving to the ball carrier with force. Beau does a great job reading the play and reacting to with confidence and speed to get to the football. He can line up at both middle and weakside linebacker spots. With his speed and adept understanding of coverage, he could be an option at cheetah as well.
Linebacker is a key spot for the Sooners in the 2026 recruiting cycle with the possibility that Kobie McKinzie, Kip Lewis, Kendal Daniels, and Kendal Dolby all leaving after the 2025 season. Brent Venables, Nate Dreiling, and Wes Goodwin have to stack talent in this class to help reload the position for the Sooners.

We might still be a month and a half away from the start of the college football season, but you can start getting your hands on some Ohio State football tickets now. In fact, you can order up three game mini-plans now. The options aren't wide-ranging, but you can select one of two options between the home games against Grambling or Rutgers for your first pick, then pick two games of the three options between the contests vs. Ohio, Minnesota, or UCLA. The bigger games are understandably missing from the 3-Game Mini-Plans, so unfortunately, the home games against Texas or Penn State aren't a part of the package. It must also be noted that there is a limit of six packages per customer. Any attempt to go over the six allowed will be canceled without notice. So, if you are looking to get in early on seeing the defending College Football Playoff national champions play, now is your chance before single-game tickets go on sale. Those sales start for alumni on June 24 and for the general public (whatever is left) on June 27. Both are available beginning at 10 a.m. on the sale dates. The 3-Game Mini-Plans are sold through Ticketmaster. The demand for tickets should be pretty high this season as fans are still basking in the glow of the national championship, but we'll see what kind of tickets are available when single-game dates start to become available. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound North Carolina outside linebacker returned to South Bend this past weekend for an official visit and was among a slew of top recruits as the Fighting Irish had arguably their biggest recruiting weekend of this offseason. The Class of 2026 Weddington (Matthews, NC) product will obviously always be linked to Georgia, his father's alma mater after he took an official visit to Athens earlier this month. But he made sure to recruit the uncommitted players that were in South Bend over the weekend, including having in-depth conversations with wide receivers Devin Fitzgerald and Kaydon Finley. Like Davis Jr., both have fathers who had NFL careers. That's a great sign for Marcus Freeman and his staff. Four-star WR Devin Carter stands firm in commitment to Auburn football Carter's reassurance is a step in the right direction for Auburn football recruiting, who needed a jolt of energy. Recruiting noise surrounding the Auburn Tigers has been at a minimum lately as the program has landed just one commitment since April, and recently lost a four-star linebacker that caused their ranking to plummet. However, Auburn fans received good news this weekend as one of its top pledges to its 2026 class reaffirmed his commitment to the program following his recent official visit. Devin Carter, a four-star wide receiver from Douglasville, Georgia, and an Auburn pledge since January, took his official visit to the Plains over the weekend, where he told reporters such as Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Live that he remains locked in with Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers. Carter visited Georgia, Florida State, and North Carolina officially, but says that he saved his "best visit for last" and that he remains as committed as he was when he announced his pledge in January. 'I feel the same, I'm locked in. Same as I was months ago when I committed. This was just reassurance that it's home. I had a great time here and I love it here. Coach (Marcus) Davis and his belief in me. Coach (Hugh) Freeze and his belief in me also. Just the whole coaching staff and the way they pour into me and express the way that they feel about me. They're going to use me well here and I'm going to make plays here in Jordan-Hare Stadium. We're going to be special here. And Deuce Knight, I got to workout with him last night. We went to the field and ran some routes. That's my guy. He's one of them ones. We're going to be special.' Carter says that Knight having one year of development before he gets to campus will be vital, and it is a process that he is happy to be a part of. Carter also says that he is joining the Tigers' coaching staff as well as several top 2026 commits in recruiting four-star quarterback Landon Duckworth, who was also on the Plains for a weekend visit. Carter is the No. 15 wide receiver of the 2026 class and is the No. 13 player from Georgia according to 247Sports. He is the second-highest rated commit to Auburn's 2026 haul, trailing four-star EDGE Hezekiah Harris.
