Deals: Samsung Galaxy S and Tab S offers

This week we're having a look at Samsung deals, both smartphones and tablets.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE comes with a free Galaxy Watch7. This is on top of a £50 discount. The FE features the Exynos 2400e chipset, a 6.7' 120Hz 1080p+ OLED display and a 4,700mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. The camera system includes a 50MP main, 8MP 3x/75mm telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide.
Meanwhile, the rivalry between the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Edge continues. The Edge is slender and light (5.8mm, 163g), while the Ultra is chunkier (8.2mm, 218g) but more capable. It has longer battery life, a built-in S Pen, not one but two telephoto cameras (50MP 5x/111mm and 10MP 3x/67mm), plus a higher resolution 50MP ultra-wide. If you prefer smaller phones – shorter and narrower, not just thinner like the Edge – the Samsung Galaxy S25 is one of the few petite flagships. This generation got bumped up to 12GB of RAM, bringing it on par with the rest of the S25 series.
Next up, tablets. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra chose the Dimensity 9300+ over a Snapdragon chip. They have expandable storage, a water-resistant frame, bundled S Pen and DeX support. The Ultra is as large as Android tablets go at 14.6', while the Plus has a 12.4' display.
If you want something even smaller, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 is the current 11' flagship. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and has two more OS updates to go (it launched on Android 13 and is currently on 15). We've been hearing murmurs of smaller Tab S11 models, but there's nothing official yet.
Alternatively, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE – this one has a 10.9' display, but it's a 90Hz IPS LCD instead of a 120Hz OLED like on the premium Tab S models. And it has less processing power with the Exynos 1580, also the USB-C port does not support video out. The FE models are cheaper, though, and you can still get a fairly large screen if you want it – the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ has a 13.1' panel.

Update from June 18, 2025: Project Moohan will be shown off at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July, but will release in September. The original story from June 11, 2025 follows below: At the tail end of last year, Samsung introduced Project Moohan: an MR ( Mixed Reality ) headset that will challenge the Apple Vision Pro. The headset was later spotted at Galaxy Unpacked back in January of this year, but there hasn't been any mention of a release date, until Moohan will reportedly be launching alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 next month, according to a reliable source. Samsung's new foldables are coming out in early to mid-July, and we might even hear about a Galaxy Z Flip 7 SE. The headset will be running on Google's Android XR, which is exactly what it sounds like: an Android-based operating system for XR ( Extended Reality ) devices. Google and Samsung showed off Android XR in action last year as well, and it's basically a direct competitor to visionOS. For starters, it absolutely has to be an affordable product. The Vision Pro 's $3,499 price tag was a dealbreaker for even the most diehard XR enthusiasts, so Samsung's headset has to cost significantly it has to have a purpose for existing. Gaming remains the biggest reason that people buy VR headsets today, something that Apple did away with in order to do things its own way. Apple admitted that was a mistake by introducing support for PSVR2 controllers on visionOS 26 at WWDC this month. Samsung not only needs to support today's best VR games, but also provide other practical applications for the headset too. Lastly, the headset needs to be comfortable. If Project Moohan cannot be worn for more than 30 minutes without getting uncomfortable, it won't see the mass adoption that Samsung hopes for. Hopefully, the company has learnt some lessons from the Vision Pro and will make its headset a lot more pleasant to use. I think it highly unlikely that Project Moohan will compete with the Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3S when it comes to price. Meta's headsets remain the most practical choice for people just looking to play some VR or MR games. But if Samsung prices it right and markets it better, I definitely see a market emerging for Project Moohan. Especially after there was no news about an Apple Vision Pro 2 at WWDC. Weekly poll results: the vivo X200 FE is a hit

Peter, 06 July 2025 The vivo X200 FE has a big presence for such a small phone – looking at the results from last week's poll, this could be the best mini flagship out there. And yes, it's a mini flagship, less than 5% of voters had issues with the size. Many still haven't made up their minds and are waiting for a review (ours is coming soon). It doesn't help that vivo hasn't confirmed the global pricing yet. That said, the majority of voters are showing strong interest towards the FE. It will compete against the likes of the OnePlus 13s (but the X200 FE wins by default in Europe) and Xiaomi 15 (but that one is certainly the more expensive model). Only around 10% of voters think they can get better value with some other small flagship. That is not to say that the vivo X200 FE didn't have its critics. The 8MP ultra-wide is a letdown for some (the vivo X200 Pro mini has a 50MP UW sensor) as was the USB 2.0 port. The proper launch of the vivo X200 FE (and X Fold5) is scheduled for July 14 for India, so stay tuned for pricing info.

Michail, 04 July 2025 Tecno is expanding its Pova series with two new options – the Pova 7 and Pova 7 Pro. Both offer 144Hz displays, Dimensity 7300 chipsets and 6000mAh batteries with 45W charging. They share identical designs, which are headlined by the Delta Light Interface – a triangular strip around the camera island comprised of 104 LED lights. Delta Light Interface It acts as a customizable notification status similar to what we've seen with past Nothing phone devices and interacts with incoming calls, music, charging, or gaming. The vanilla Pova 7 opts for a 6.78-inch IPS LCD (FHD+ 144Hz) with 900 nits peak brightness. Pova 7 Pro gets a nicer 6.78-inch AMOLED (1220p+ 144Hz) with up to 4,500 nits peak local brightness, an optical fingerprint scanner and 2340Hz PWM dimming. Both panels get an integrated 13MP selfie cam and are protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. Tecno outfitted both of its Pova 7 members with MediaTek's Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. Pova 7 Pro gets a 64MP main camera (IMX682) alongside an 8MP ultrawide lens while Pova 7 opts for a 50MP main cam alongside an unspecified auxiliary lens. Both phones boot Tecno HiOS 15 based on Android 15 and feature DeepSeek integration as well as the Ella AI assistant. The pair also shares the same 6,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging, but the Pro model also adds 30W wireless charging. Tecno Pova 7 comes in Geek Black, Magic Silver, and Oasis Green. It starts at INR 14,999 ($175) for the 8/128GB trim and goes up to INR 15,999 ($187).
