Texas legends to appear at benefit concert for Hill Country flooding
The event, set to take place in Austin, will feature Lambert, McCollum, and a roster of Texas talent performing to raise funds for families in need, including those who lost loved ones in floods that have killed more than 130 people, many of them young children. Proceeds from the concert will support The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation, organizations working to help rebuild flood-impacted communities.
'Our mission with Band Together Texas is simple — Texans helping Texas,' Lambert said in a statement. 'We're coming together to lift up our neighbors and help them recover and rebuild from this tragedy.' In addition to providing immediate financial support, organizers say the event aims to foster a sense of community and compassion among those affected, uniting people through music and shared purpose.

This 'Love Is Blind' star says she doubted marriage amid fertility struggle
"Love is Blind" star Alexa Lemieux is opening up about her emotional struggle with fertility. Lemieux, who met and married co-star Brennon Lemieux during Season 3 of the Netflix reality show, revealed in a new interview the toll fertility issues took on their relationship. In a new episode of the "What's the Reality?" podcast from fellow "LIB" contestant AD Smith, Lemiuex got emotional recounting her struggle to get pregnant. "It was hard. It was really hard," she told Smith. "I just remember one time breaking down. Like, 'Do you regret marrying me?' Because we really bonded over having kids together." The couple, who emerged as one of the few successful pairs from the "LIB" season shot in Dallas, welcomed a daughter, Vienna, in July 2024. Her birth came after a difficult year, with Lemieux previously saying that the couple had undergone various fertility treatments and not found success. "I don't know why I'm crying, because I have a baby," she told Smith, tearing up. "But it was hard, and I just remember thinking that it's never going to happen." In the lead-up to the pregnancy, Lemiuex had begun injecting hormones, a common practice in fertility treatment. But, when they resulted in weight gain and mood swings, and still no pregnancy, the reality star revealed she needed to take a step back. "We decided to put a pause because it was a lot of hormones that I was injecting, and so mentally I was not doing great at all," she said. "I was obviously very, very emotional, and from it, was gaining weight, so my body was off. "Then I had people online pointing it out all the time, so that was really hard," Lemieux continued. "And then we just kind of decided to pause it. Let's regroup. And then I got pregnant. And it was a very healthy pregnancy and we're very blessed for that. "It's not always the case, and so we were very, very lucky," she added. This article originally appeared on USA TODAY: 'Love Is Blind': Alexa cries sharing fertility struggles with Brennon

AEW is running back All In Texas' main event on TV, with a new wrinkle
After AEW World champion Hangman Page bloodied up Death Rider Wheeler Yuta in the opening match of this week's Dynamite, Jon Moxley had a message for the man who beat him for the belt in a Deathmatch at All In Texas. Mox wanted to make it clear that while he tips his cap to Page for winning the main event of AEW's big PPV, he doubts that Hangman can do it again and again, day after day as he has during his World title runs. The chief Death Rider wants a rematch, and he knows a fighting champ like Hanger won't turn him down... especially after Marina Shafir calls him 'soft' to end the segment. After Mark Briscoe beat Claudio Castagnoli in tonight's main event, the Riders did what they often do and attacked him. Dropping Briscoe gut first on the legs of a steel chair wasn't Mox's endgame, however. That was to get Page to come out. He did, and accepted the rematch for next week's Dynamite. But as Hangman is champ and Moxley challenger this time, he gets to pick the stipulation. And that is for everyone but a referee to be banned from ringside. Before Page was done walking back up the ramp, Tony Khan made it official for July 30 in Chicago. Like it? Get complete results from tonight's Dynamite here. Terrifying video shows moments giant alligator swims up behind 12-year-old wakeboarder in Texas
A viral TikTok video captured the jaw-dropping moment a 12-year-old Texas wakesurfer came face‑to‑face with an alligator, but played it cool despite the scare. Clair Hurta, a competitive wakesurfer backed by Pure Wakesurf, was taking a break between practice runs on the Colorado River near Bay City, Texas, this past weekend when an alligator suddenly surfaced just feet behind her. The close call, captured on video by her mother, Crystal Hurta, has since racked up nearly 543,000 views of TikTok. In the clip, Clair is seen smiling and laughing moments before she turns and notices the gator swimming several feet behind her. She looked at it, turned around, and gave the camera another smile, seemingly unfazed. According to Crystal, who grew up on the same river, the reptile was 'pretty big,' with its head distinctly visible above the water. "Clair looked at it and just shrugged it off—she wasn't worried. Now, a snake would make her walk on water," Crystal told Chron. After capturing the viral clip, the duo left the area immediately and reported nuisance gators to Texas game wardens. "We know they are there, but seeing them isn't something I like," Crystal said. "She was surfing, and once she fell and I went back to pick her up, I noticed the gator swimming across and was able to capture that moment. It was far enough away to where I wasn't worried, nor was Clair." The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says that while alligators are common in parts of the state, they typically pose little threat. That is unless they lose their natural fear of humans or begin associating people with food or boats. Those are considered "nuisance" gators and should be reported. Fellow TikTok users commended the pre-teen for her remaining calm during the interaction. 'You guys are bread different! I would have lost my sheet (sic),' one person commented. 'Damn you guys are truly built different. Don't think I could do that,' another said. A local added, 'That gator actually scared me and I was in the boat. Idk how Clair wasn't like screaming.'
