Davante Adams Sends Clear Message on Relationship With Rams' Puka Nacua
Davante Adams Sends Clear Message on Relationship With Rams' Puka Nacua originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Los Angeles Rams have retooled quite quickly after they went 5-12 in 2022 just one season after they won the Super Bowl championship.

They have won 10 games and made the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, and thanks to the addition of wide receiver Davante Adams and a cadre of young studs, they have high hopes for this fall and winter.
Adams, a six-time Pro Bowler, could end up being an upgrade over the outgoing Cooper Kupp, and fellow Rams wideout Puka Nacua said that Adams is already having a positive effect on his new team.
"The positive impact has already been felt from Davante," Nacua said.
Adams, in turn, returned the favor on Instagram.
"Special player..better dude," his caption read.

Adams made his name as a member of the Green Bay Packers from 2014 to 2021 alongside future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. A second-round draft pick in 2014 out of Fresno State, the Northern California native grew into Rodgers' favorite target within a few years.

The Packers traded him to the Las Vegas Raiders prior to the 2022 campaign, and although the Raiders weren't successful with him, he continued to produce at a high level.

Last year, Adams was shipped at midseason to the New York Jets, where he was reunited with Rodgers. Although the Jets went just 5-12, he still managed to catch 85 passes and post 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns.
The Rams are hoping that at age 32, he still has plenty left in his tank. Assuming he does, he could turn them into a true dark horse team in an improved NFC and make the race for the conference more interesting.

Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton Nears Return with Rehab Assignment
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton Nears Return with Rehab Assignment originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The light is finally at the end of the tunnel for Yankees' slugger Giancarlo Stanton as news broke on Tuesday that the five-time All-Star is set to begin his rehab assignment with the Double-A Somerset Patriots. Advertisement Stanton, 35, has thus far missed the entirety of the Yankees' 2025 season while dealing with epicondylitis in both of his elbows, a condition that has made swinging a bat nearly impossible without enduring an inordinate amount of pain. New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Klement Neitzel-Imagn Images It is believed that Stanton was initially injured last season, but the condition did not fully manifest itself until the offseason, when he attempted to prepare for the 2025 campaign. While the Bombers have done well without Stanton in the lineup, leading MLB in home runs (105) and the American League in runs scored (349), there's no doubt that he'll be a welcome addition to a lineup that has not been as imposing as the organization had hoped. Advertisement New York has not yet managed to overcome a three-plus run deficit in any game this season, falling to 0-15 after their 11-7 loss to the Red Sox on Sunday night. That makes the Yankees one of only three teams in MLB to be winless in such situations this year, joining the Rangers (0-18) and Brewers (0-20) in the hapless department. (Stats courtesy of Katie Sharp on Twitter/X). Giancarlo Stanton's looming return should help the Yanks in that regard, as his presence alone will lengthen New York's lineup and provide better protection for those around him. While he may no longer be an MVP-caliber player like he was in 2017 with the Marlins, Stanton has still proven himself to be an asset when called upon in important situations, like the playoffs. In six trips to the postseason with New York, Stanton has a .265 BA, a .994 OPS and was named the 2024 ALCS MVP. Depending on how many rehab games he needs and assuming he doesn't suffer any setbacks, an end-of-June return to The Majors could be in the cards for Stanton. The Jets' history that brings hope for a strong Aaron Glenn Year 1
Aaron Glenn doesn't blink in the face of history: The Jets' suffocating 14-year playoff drought, that agonizing 56-year-and-counting Super Bowl drought. His mission from Day 1 has been rallying a shell-shocked franchise to believe with him that they are the Freakin' New York Jets, and they're built for this. The laser-focused Glenn will only put stock in the here and now and doesn't give a damn about what happens in Pittsburgh or anywhere else outside Florham Park, but he should be heartened to know that there is history on his side as well. Every rookie coach arrives talking about sustained success, and too many of them fail. But it doesn't preclude catching lightning in a bottle as a novice.
