MP CM announces laptop aid for over 94,000 top-scoring Class 12 students
The Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana is designed to empower and encourage students who took the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) Class 12 exams and received a score of at least 75 per cent. The chosen students will receive Rs 25,000 directly in their bank accounts to purchase a laptop to help them with their studies.

MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav wrote on his X and said, "I'm delighted that on 4th July, we will extend financial incentives of Rs 25,000 each to 94,234 students who have scored 75 percent or above in the Class 12 MP Board examinations."
The CM also gave away laptops to 15 top-performing Class 12 students from government schools across the state during a programme held at the Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre on Friday.
These students scored the highest marks in various subjects, including science, commerce, the arts, and mathematics, in the academic year 2024–2025 in the state. Of them, Prayal Dwivedi was the first to get a laptop from the Chief Minister after achieving the highest score of 492 out of 500 in the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) exams. During the event, School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh joined the chief minister.
Other meritorious and deserving students who received laptops are Harsh Pandey (490), Ankur Yadav (490), Abhay Singh (489), Aryan Pandey (488), Heena Kumari (488), Hariom Shahu (486), Raghuveer Gautam (484), Gargi Agrawal (484), Divyanshu Tiwari (484), Deepika Singh (483), Parth Rathore (483), Nishra Pandit (487), Panjal Kushwaha (487), and Yogita Tank (478).
What is "Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana"?
Since its launch in 2009–10, the "Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana" Scheme has assisted over 4.3 lakh students with funds totalling more than INR 1080 crore. The program encourages youth to pursue higher education and promotes digital literacy. Approximately 89,710 students were awarded financial aid under this program in 2023–2024.
Both regular and self-taught students from government and accredited non-government schools are covered under the program. Students from the general category must have received at least 75%, while those from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) must have received at least 65%.

'Whether it is structural reforms, regulatory reforms, policy reforms, process reforms, or the need for constitutional reforms, we have made every kind of reform our mission today.'Atmanirbhar Bharat is the bedrock on which Viksit Bharat will be built, he said. He asserted that Operation Sindoor, the Gaganyaan mission and the manufacture of indigenous semiconductors has proved the power of self-reliance.'The greater a nation's reliance on others, the more its freedom comes into question,' he said. 'Misfortune arises when dependency becomes a habit, when we do not even realise it, when we abandon self-reliance and become dependent on others. This habit is fraught with danger, and hence one must remain vigilant every moment to be self-reliant.'Made-in-India weapons and defence systems helped India during Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister asserted.'The enemy had no inkling of what weapons and capabilities we possessed, what power was destroying them in the blink of an eye,' he said. 'Imagine if we were not self-reliant, could we have executed Operation Sindoor with such swiftness? Bengaluru: Chief minister Siddaramaiah, in his address at the 79th Independence Day celebrations , urged people to raise their voices against the discrimination faced by Karnataka in the distribution of resources from the Centre. He also urged people to protest to highlight the growing concern that constitutional bodies like income tax department, enforcement directorate, CBI, and others are not working to uphold the true values of democracy and cooperative federalism as enshrined in the Constitution. The govt had spent Rs 96,000 crore to implement these schemes, the CM claimed, adding several studies had shown women's participation in the workforce increased by 23%. He also lauded the Rs 2,000 Gruha Lakshmi scheme and free bus services for women under the shakti scheme. Giving details of developmental work done in the agricultural sector, Siddaramaiah said a land resource inventory (LRI) was conducted on 10 lakh hectares for the first time in the country and cards with details of soil characteristics, nutrient content, and suitable crops are being distributed to 8 lakh farmers. "By strengthening APMCs, we achieved record arrivals of 164 lakh metric tonnes of agricultural products in 2024-25, a remarkable increase of 447%, which is the highest in the history of Karnataka," said the chief minister. Karnataka ranks first in per capital income: CM Karnataka now ranks first in the country in terms of per capita income, said CM Siddaramaiah. Over the past decade, the state has achieved a growth of 101 per cent in this indicator from Rs 1,01,858 at constant prices in 2013-14 to Rs 2,04,605 in 2024-25. Stressing the govt's priority towards industrial growth, the CM said 18 industrial areas covering 44,166 acres have been declared special investment regions. Investors have expressed interest in bringing in over Rs 10 lakh crore in investment, and 48% has already been processed under the single window IT platform.
