Elaborate arrangements made for mega DSC
Nellore: The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of mega district selection committee (DSC) examination, scheduled from June 6 to 30 in the district.
As many as 31,221 candidates are going to write the exam in eight centers at Iyan Digital Zone at Pottepalem in Nellore rural mandal, Geethanjali Institute of Technology at Gangavaram village of Kovur mandal, PBR Visodaya Institute of Technology and Science, Ramireddy Subbareddy Engineering College in Kavali town, Narayana Engineering College in city, NBKR Institute of Science and Technology, NBKR Arts College in Vakadu mandal, Audi Sankara Engineering College near Gudur town.
Addressing the coordination committee meeting held on Wednesday, DRO Udaya Baskar Rao has directed police personnel to ensure tight security with implementation of Section 144 at exam centers and directed medical officials to set up medical camps in view of intense heat conditions. RTC officials were told to run maximum number of services to transport students to the exam centers.

DSC examinations begin across the state
1 2 3 Visakhapatnam: The mega district selection committee (DSC) teacher recruitment exams began across the state on Friday. Thousands of candidates attended the TGT (trained graduate teacher) exam in two sessions. In the morning session, exams for TGT (non-language) were conducted at 91 centres across the state. Out of 16,102 applicants, 14,281 candidates appeared, recording an attendance rate of 88.69%. In the afternoon session, exams for TGT (non-language) continued at 51 centres. Of the 8,790 registered candidates, 7,611 appeared, marking an attendance of 86.7%. District-wise, the highest attendance in the morning was reported in Kadapa (91.1%), while in the afternoon, Nellore district registered the highest attendance at 92%. According to candidates, 60-70% of the questions were more difficult than expected. For example, the maths TGT paper included several questions on advanced trigonometry. The exam reported no untoward incidents, apart from some candidates arriving late and being denied entry to the centres. Some candidates found it difficult to locate the centres, as these are mostly situated far from or outside the cities. According to officials, the computer-based tests will continue till June 30, in two sessions every day. DSC-2025: Exams begin, over 5 lakh to compete for 16,347 teacher posts
The Department of School Education has received more than 5 lakh applications for the DSC-2025 examination that began today and will end on June 30, 2025. Convenor of the Mega DSC-2025, M. Venkata Krishna Reddy, said: '16,347 teacher posts will be filled in government, local bodies, and schools run by welfare societies across the State through this recruitment drive. As many as 3,36,305 candidates have submitted 5,77,675 applications for various teaching positions, including school assistants (SA), secondary grade teachers (SGTs), school assistants (Physical Education), physical education teachers (PETs), principals, postgraduate teachers (PGTs), and trained graduate teachers (TGTs). The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted across 137 test centres in the state and 17 centres outside the state, including Hyderabad, Kodad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Berhampur. To ensure transparency, the exams will be monitored through live CCTV surveillance, and candidates will undergo biometric verification. Section 144 of CrPC will be enforced around the exam venues to maintain law and order and prevent any possible malpractice.
