The American businessman has now claimed he discovered Richards was cheating on him with former Marine Reyes, 53, back in April.
Richards starred with Reyes in the third series of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test in 2023. The military instructor split from his gun instructor girlfriend Jade Struck, 25, earlier this year.
In an interview with The Mail, Phypers said Richards had promised to break things off with Reyes, only to hook up with him the following month in a California hotel.
That alleged rendezvous was the basis for their July showdown that signalled the end of their marriage.

marching orders Celebrity SAS star axed after 'lying & cheating' on show - as another quits
Phypers said: "I'm broken-hearted and f***ing tired. Really, she's f***ed me up.
"We've been together nine years and for her to do that and to lie to me consistently - I'm totally tired and drained."
He said the relationship had been rocky for some time, aggravated by six house moves over the course of their relationship and dozens of pets under their care.
He said Richards owned 58 dogs, two pot-bellied pigs, and an 'incontinent' Sphinx cat.
The disgruntled ex also accused Richards of being addicted to vicodin and alcohol.
But the breaking point came when Phypers said he discovered 107 messages between Richards and Reyes, some of which detailed hotel meet ups and included intimate photos.

He told the publication: "I just had this feeling that something was off because her behavior had changed – she was being kind of cool to me.
"I opened her phone – we both know each other's passwords - so I opened it up and then I went to her deleted texts and there were 107 of them between her and this guy.
"I went through them and it just broke my heart."
Following Phypers and Richards' row in July, the actress filed a lawsuit accusing him of physical and verbal abuse, including leaving her with a black eye.
Phypers has vehemently denied the claims, telling US Weekly, "Let me be unequivocally clear: I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise — or anyone.
"These accusations are completely false and deeply hurtful. Denise and I, like many couples, have faced our share of challenges, but any suggestion of abuse is categorically untrue.
"I have always tried to approach our marriage with love, patience, and respect. I ask for privacy as we navigate personal matters, and I hope that the public and media will refrain from spreading harmful and baseless claims.'
The Sun has contacted representatives for Richards and Reyes for comment.

Netflix has Harry & Meghan over a barrel – it's talk about royals & divorce or get NOTHING, claims expert
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have extended their Netflix deal - but bosses are hoping they will have some 'juicy royal tea to spill', according to experts. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed a new "multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects" with Netflix, the couple has announced. 5 Meghan and Harry's Netflix deal has been extended Credit: Getty 5 Netflix viewers will get a second season of With Love, Meghan, plus a Christmas special Credit: JAKE ROSENBERG/NETFLIX However, speaking on this week's The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, broadcaster and journalist Esther Craichu said the Sussexes' deal is simply a 'retainer'. She claimed: 'It's a retainer in case they [Meghan and Harry] decide to accidentally do something entertaining again. 'That's basically it. So there's no commitment. 'They've put no money behind this. It's basically the right to first refusal. 'So if they come up with something that doesn't have to do with their whole kind of sermonising about how to save the world, then Netflix might be like, yes. 'I mean, to be brutally honest, what they've done is they've said, 'unless you have some juicy tea to spill on the royal family, or you get divorced and want to give us a documentary, probably not.' 'But if they have something juicy to say about the royal family, like the king sent me a potted plant, which turned out to be poison ivy, or that 'H my fox' just didn't hold me the way I wanted to, and so we've had to consciously uncouple, then maybe. 'That's basically it.' Esther claimed that the deal is the 'best of both worlds' and claims Netflix has been "clever in that sense.' She added: 'These people [the Sussexes] are a household name. They're annoying, but they're a household name. Harry & Meghan were 'not in a strong position' & signed Netflix deal for 'much less'… TV giant 'did it for publicity' 'If they do anything interesting, we have to be first in the queue, because it would be a blockbuster. 'Everyone would be covering it. It'd be a huge media storm. But at the moment, given their track record, absolutely not. 'We're not committing five quid to this.' Five years ago, Harry and Meghan secured a lucrative contract, thought to be worth more than 100 million dollars (£74million), with Netflix after quitting as senior working royals in 2020. It is not yet known how much the new extended deal will bring in for the couple, or how long it will last. 5 The couple has signed a new 'multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects' with Netflix Credit: Netflix IDEAL OUTCOME? royal reporter Bronte Coyne said the new deal is the 'ideal outcome for both parties.' She explained: 'We've talked about what was going to be next for Harry and Meghan in their Netflix business arm for a long time now, because we knew that this five-year deal was going to expire this year. 'What was going to be the ideal outcome? 'OK, they're not going to sign a deal anything like the one that was signed in 2020, because they don't really exist anymore. 'The landscape has changed completely for TV, but streaming services in particular. If they [Meghan and Harry] do anything interesting, we [Netflix] have to be first in the queue, because it would be a blockbuster Esther Craichu 'So it did seem likely that there would either be a downgraded deal or an expiration of the deal. 'Now, the fact that both parties can say we've reached a new agreement, it was never going to be what it was before, but it is a new agreement. 'I think that an argument could be made on either side that it's a PR win, because the deal wasn't cancelled, as had been speculated for some time. 'It's a first-look deal.' NEW RELEASES 5 Experts have claimed that Netflix is hoping the couple will reveal more 'juicy royal secrets' Credit: PA Announcing the deal, Meghan said in a statement: 'We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand. "My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.' On top of Season 2 of With Love, Meghan - which will drop later this month - they will also do a "Holiday Celebration" Christmas special this December. "Join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration," the announcement reads. "Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home. It's a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy." There will also be a short film called "Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within". SUSSEX NETFLIX HISTORY It was previously thought that the Sussexes' £74million deal with the streamer was not going to be renewed. Harry's Polo series, about the sport, was watched by just 500,000 people. It was also understood that bosses were mildly infuriated by Meghan making her As Ever brand a priority. 5 Prince Harry's Polo series did not hit the top viewing spots Credit: Netflix Lifestyle and cookery show With Love, Meghan only ranked at number 383 in Netflix's six-monthly engagement report this year, with just 5.3million viewers across the globe. It was beaten by reruns of the first four seasons of legal drama Suits, which also starred the Duchess in her pre-royal days. Meghan was filmed for her show making ladybird-shaped canapes from cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls. The show is a smash hit compared to her husband's docuseries Polo. In the first six months of the year the programme attracted 500,000 views globally, ranking it at number 3,442 out of around 7,000 shows.

Melania Trump threatens to sue Hunter Biden over ‘salacious' Epstein comments
US first lady Melania Trump has demanded that Hunter Biden retract comments linking her to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein and threatened to sue if he does not. Ms Trump takes issue with two comments Mr Biden, son of former president Joe Biden, made in an interview this month with American journalist Andrew Callaghan. He alleged that Epstein introduced the first lady to now-President Donald Trump. Hunter Biden listens while his father, then-president Joe Biden, speaks at the White House (Rod Lamkey/AP) The statements are false, defamatory and 'extremely salacious' Melania Trump's lawyer, Alejandro Brito, wrote in a letter to Mr Biden. Mr Biden's remarks were widely disseminated on social media and reported by media outlets around the world, causing the first lady 'to suffer overwhelming financial and reputational harm', he wrote. Mr Biden made the Epstein comments during a sprawling interview in which he lashed out at 'elites' and others in the Democratic Party he says undermined his father before he dropped out of last year's presidential campaign. 'Epstein introduced Melania to Trump. The connections are, like, so wide and deep,' Mr Biden said in one of the comments Ms Trump disputes. Mr Biden attributed the claim to author Michael Wolff, whom Mr Trump disparaged in June as a 'Third Rate Reporter'. He has accused Mr Wolff of making up stories to sell books. The first lady's threats echo a favoured strategy of her husband, who has aggressively used litigation to go after critics. Public figures like the Trumps face a high bar to succeed in a defamation case. The president and first lady have long said they were introduced by Paolo Zampolli, a modelling agent, at a New York Fashion Week party in 1998. The letter is dated August 6 and was first reported on Wednesday by Fox News Digital. Abbe Lowell, a lawyer who has represented Mr Biden in his criminal cases and to whom Brito's letter is addressed, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Taking to her Instagram story in a candid Q&A with fans, Paige lifted the lid after a fan asked her about the truth behind her looks. The American said: "There's been a lot of speculation over the cosmetic work that I've had done, so let's be transparent right now. "Yes, my face and body do look different than when I first started doing this. "One I am older and two I am 50 pounds heavier but this is all the work I've had done over a nine-year span." Paige revealed she had had no work done to her body, with all of it being real. However, her face has had its share of procedures. She explained: "I've had my nose done and then I've had filler work done in the past, but I don't think I have any filler left in my face right now. "I've done Botox before [but] I don't have any botox in my face currently. "I'll just do my upper forehead and sometimes around my eyes. Paige Spiranac rival Claire Hogle turns heads in stunning outfit after wowing fans with skills on and off the course "These are two veneers, my teeth just never grew in properly there. "And I will do laser work for resurfacing and tightening, and that's all." That means there have been no secret surgeries across her time in the spotlight, something which is quite rare in the influencer sphere. According to the BBC, 27,462 cosmetic surgery procedures were conducted in the UK in 2024 - a five per cent rise on 2023 - with nine in ten of these surgeries being women. Boob jobs were the most popular treatment, followed by breast reduction surgery in second place. However, the figures indicate that much of the rise was driven by facial rejuvenation surgery, similar to what Paige admits to having had done.
