, a website used to cast extras and background actors.
The scenes are being filmed in various locations, including Fort Worth, Benbrook, Weatherford, Cresson and Irving.
Thirty "roughneck" men with trucks, in any color except red, are needed for a night shoot in Cresson on Friday, April 4. Instructions say if you are booked with your vehicle, "do not wash it." The scene portrays men on their way to work in the patch, and the roads are dusty/dirty, so dirty trucks are a plus.
A second listing seeks senior citizens who are available to be regulars at Western Skies Retirement Home. You may remember when Angela and Ainsley volunteered at the nursing home in Season 1. The scenes are shot at Hilltop Park Rehabilitation and Care Center, a nursing home in
Weatherford
.
There are separate calls for administrator and attendant extras as well.
If you don't own a truck, there's still an opportunity for you. On Wednesday, April 2, extras are needed to work as "truck stop patrons" with their vehicles, but no red or white cars will be accepted. This shoot will take place in Weatherford.
If you are a paramedic, extras are needed for a scene in which you will look like you are administering first aid to one of the 'Landman' characters. You must have first-response experience to be considered for this role.
All of the extra roles are paid roles. To be considered, you must create a profile on the mycastingfile website.
So, who knows? You or one of your friends could soon be seen on the big screen.
Season 2 of "Landman" does not have a specific release date yet.

‘Stranger Things' Creators are Jumping Ship to Paramount
By the time Stranger Things wraps at year's end, creators Matt and Ross Duffer will have taken their talents over to Paramount. Days ago, reports began to surface alleging the two brothers were potentially looking to leave the streamer to make film and TV for the Mission: Impossible studio. Now, it's official: per industry journalist Matt Belloni, the Duffers will be over at Paramount going forward. Their decision apparently came down to the theaters; the brothers wanted their films to hit the big screen, which Netflix isn't really keen on doing unless said film could be a potential Oscar winner, high-profile directors really fight for it, or it gets so popular that they may as well come to theaters. To date, the brothers have only released one film, the 2015 psychological thriller Hidden. With the Duffers gone, this marks Netflix's first big talent shakeup in the wake of the recent, equally big acquisition of Paramount by longtime partner Skydance. According to Variety, the duo's future output will emphasize tentpole movies, which is typically the studio's bread and butter. Despite the move, they'll still have a presence at Netflix for a while: their production company, Upside Down Productions, is working on an animated Stranger Things prequel Tales of 85 due 2026 and a second unannounced spinoff. There's also the non-Stranger series The Boroughs and Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, which they're executive producing and will also arrive in 2026. ‘South Park' to Take on ICE in New Episode
CBS and its owner Paramount may given in to the Trump administration's demands, but South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone — who just inked a reported $1.5 billion deal with the studio — are not following suit. The first episode of the wildly popular animated series 27th season savaged President Donald Trump by putting him in a deteriorating romantic relationship with Satan — who the creators previously paired with Saddam Hussein — and endowing the president with a miniscule manhood. And the show's continuing to poke at the twice-impeached commander in chief, his policies and supporters. Comedy Central revealed on Tuesday (Aug. 5) that the episode is titled 'Got a Nut,' with the description explaining that Mr. Mackay — South Park Elementary's counselor — has lost his job and is 'desperately' trying to 'find a new way to make a living.' (That's him pulling up his face mask while in what appears to be an ICE truck in the promo.) One of the images released from the episode Tuesday also shows a gun-toting woman resembling Noem in an ICE vest. The cable and streaming network also reported that the first episode of season 27, 'Sermon on the 'Mount' — which ended with an internet-breaking PSA of Trump trudging across a desert — was the top telecast across all cable, racked up its biggest season premiere share on Comedy Central since 1999, up +68% vs. last season's first episode, attracted nearly 6 million cross-platform viewers across Paramount+ and Comedy Central and trended on X for over 12 hours, five of them at No. 1. The Trump White House slammed the South Park season 27 premiere the day after it aired. 'The Left's hypocrisy truly has no end – for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as 'offense' [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show,' spokesperson Taylor Rogers said in a statement to Variety, claiming that the long-running animated comedy continues to 'hit record lows' and that it 'hasn't been relevant in 20 years.' Parker and Stone's production company, Park County, is also slated to release, Like That, a live-action movie starring rap superstar Kendrick Lamar in March 2026. South Park airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. ET, and streams on Paramount+ the next day.
