'I dated Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams and these were my relationship red flags'
EXCLUSIVE: Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams has been at the centre of a number of flirtations, dramas and accusations of game-playing in the villa - and now one woman from his pre-villa life has shared her experiences As Love Island continues to deliver nightly twists, tears and tension, one Islander has left viewers divided – 26-year-old Londoner Dejon Noel-Williams. Dejon, currently coupled up with Meg Moore, has been at the centre of flirtations, firepit dramas and accusations of game-playing. But now, one woman from his pre-villa life has claimed to new that his behaviour on-screen doesn't come as a surprise. Georgia Mercer, 27, dated Dejon in the months leading up to his villa debut. Their brief relationship began late last year and fizzled out around spring – but in that time, she says, she saw a different side to the man now trying to win £50,000 and (hopefully) someone's heart. Speaking exclusively to new, Georgia shares the highs, lows and confusing middle ground of her time with Dejon and says she recognises the very same patterns playing out in front of the nation. 'He was really hot and cold during our time together,' she admits. 'One day he'd really want to hang out, then the next I wouldn't hear from him much. I found it quite bizarre.' Georgia and Dejon met online and their first real-life meeting came soon afterwards. 'It was pretty quick to be fair… after about two weeks or so we went on a date,' she recalls. At first, things seemed promising. 'In person, he made me feel super comfortable. I always felt really chill with him. He had a really warm energy when we were together,' she says. 'That's the part I liked about him – I didn't feel anxious, which I usually do around new people. It was a strong eight on the feeling scale, to be fair.' But while the energy was there when they were together, Georgia says communication between dates was inconsistent. 'Over text, it was different. He'd try and call me at random times and I'd be like, 'I don't know what you think this is, but… I'm not trying to be casual.'' The romance lasted around three months, but Georgia says she quickly began to feel something wasn't quite right. 'I sent him a message saying, 'If it doesn't feel like you're serious, this isn't really gonna work,'' she says. 'He said, 'Let's talk on the phone,' but he wanted to do it at 11 at night. I was like, no – and then he just carried on the next day as though nothing happened. I was like, are you just ignoring that big piece of information?' It was Georgia who ended the relationship. 'I felt like he really did seem to want something, and then the next day it'd be a bit… hot and cold again. Eventually I just said, 'No, I'm not really feeling this.'' And after things ended? 'He messaged me a few weeks later with a 'Hi, how are you?'' she says. 'I don't think he's great at communication." Now, watching Dejon as he navigates Love Island, Georgia says there's a sense of déjà vu. His connection with Meg – which began on day one – has looked solid at times. But viewers have picked up on his flirtations with multiple bombshells including Toni, Yasmin, Billykiss, Caprice and Malisha – and more recently, a jaw-dropping moment in a kissing challenge where he gave Yasmin a score of 'zero', prompting a wave of backlash from viewers. 'Honestly, it doesn't surprise me at all,' says Georgia. 'When you're there in person, he's full-on, very affectionate. But when you step back or ask something serious, it's like he's not really listening – or he just avoids it completely.' Georgia adds, 'There were moments where I thought he was being honest – and maybe he was – but then you realise later, it's just easier for him to not say how he feels. I said to him once, 'I'm also very chill, just be honest.' But he won't, because then I'm not going to stick around.' Dejon, a personal trainer and semi-pro footballer, is the son of former Premier League striker Gifton Noel-Williams, and has played for clubs including Oxford United and Bedford Town, as well as competing in HYROX events. Friends describe him as 'driven and competitive' – traits that have served him well in sport and reality TV alike. Since coupling up with Meg, the pair have shared kisses and private chats, and he's asked her to be his 'girlfriend'. But viewers have questioned his loyalty, especially following Casa Amor, where Dejon expressed doubts and got to know new girls – only to return to Meg with an apology that many viewers doubted was genuine. 'He's charming,' Georgia admits. 'There's no denying that. He has that energy that makes you feel like you're the only person in the room. But then he walks away and you're not sure where you stand.' Georgia says she's not bitter. 'I'm not surprised by anything he's doing. It's just who he is. I think, deep down, he's probably a nice guy, but when it comes to commitment, he gets in his own way.' Does Georgia think Dejon and Meg are the real deal? 'I think if he really likes her he needs to show it more, not just say it when it's convenient. But it's hard to know – because that's the thing with Dejon, you never really know.'

Selena Gomez reveals her unconventional wedding day menu ahead of Benny Blanco nuptials
Selena Gomez is less than two months away from her wedding to Benny Blanco. And this week the 33-year-old Only Murders in the Building actress used her Rare Beauty brand's TikTok account to spill details about the food she hopes to serve on her big day. But unlike dishes guests may typically feast on, Selena is going for an untraditional menu. 'Whenever that day comes, I do know I don't want a big cake,' she said in an undated video showing her sitting with a peach-colored blanket spread over her lap. Gomez, who got engaged to 37-year-old Blanco last December, added, 'I think I'd want a mini one, for just us, that we can freeze.' 'My preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy,' The Texas native revealed. 'My Nana's biscuits and gravy. That sounds like dessert to me.' After insiders leaked details of Gomez and Blanco 's wedding plans — including their celebrity guest list, set date and Montecito venue — the soon-to-be husband and wife have been left scrambling to regain control. Delaying the nuptials is out of the question, however, given Gomez's busy upcoming schedule. Gomez reportedly needs the wedding to take place before the September 9 season 5 premiere of her Hulu series Only Murders in the Building. 'Selena and Benny are fuming their wedding plans have been leaked,' one insider told the Daily Mail this week. 'If it wasn't just two months away they'd think about changing the celebrations, but that's an impossible task and they don't want to delay the wedding and find a new location. Instead, they're doubling up on security to make the event as private as possible.' The Daily Mail previously reported that the wedding celebration will be a two-day September event in Montecito, California — an elite enclave of Santa Barbara that's home to A-listers including Meghan Markle, Oprah Winfrey and Gwyneth Paltrow. The ceremony will be attended by close friends and family only, and invitations have already been mailed. Among the expected attendees are Taylor Swift and co-stars Steve Martin, Martin Short and Meryl Streep. Gomez's main concern will be making sure her guests feel comfortable surrounded by ramped-up security measures. 'Security for Selena's wedding will be of the utmost importance because not only is she a public figure, many of the guests will be too,' a second insider told the Daily Mail. Gomez has reportedly even considered implementing a no-phones policy. 'She is going back and forth on whether or not to allow people to have their phones as an extra measure of security and privacy, along with the fact that she wants everyone to be present,' the person said. The news that Gomez and Blanco are set to say 'I do' in just a few weeks comes shortly after Blanco claimed during a Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast appearance that they haven't started planning their wedding. 'We've both been working so much,' the music producer said earlier this month. It's the intricate details that have yet to be fully ironed out, our source revealed, noting the couple has been 'procrastinating' on the specifics, such as where guests will sit and who will deliver speeches.

Danny Jones' emotional chat with wife Georgia as he opens up on 'hurt and trauma'
McFly star and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2024 winner Danny Jones married his wife Georgia in 2014, and together they have son Cooper McFly star Danny Jones returns to screens tonight in a re-run of Michael McIntyre 's The Wheel, just days after his wife Georgia posted their first photo together in four months. This snap was shared after he had an alleged kiss with his former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! co-star Maura Higgins at The Brit Awards earlier this year. In the picture, Danny and Georgia are seen beaming, as they posed alongside 15 of her relatives for a family photo. The picture appears to quash any doubts about their 11-year marriage, as they continue to remain together. Just weeks prior to the controversy, the 39-year-old musician gave his most candid interview to date, on the High Performance podcast. In the lengthy discussion, he opened up about his battles with anxiety and his decision to seek professional help, after his father Alan left during his teenage years. The King of the Jungle met his first therapist at the age of 18, around the time McFly were first making waves in the music industry. Having realised the positive impact therapy had on his mental health, he has pursued his path to healing ever since. Quizzed about his wife's reaction to his personal struggles, he admitted she had her reservations at first, but these changed once he explained his need for it. "It's just little steps over the years that you do and I think it's the same with healing and the same with dealing. I was obviously hurt by something and traumatised and needed rebalancing, or reprogramming should I say," he shared. "You know, it's great talking to friends, it's great talking to your loved ones, because my wife didn't understand why I had to go at first. "She's like, 'Why don't you talk to me? Why can't I help you?' But I needed that one professional, actually many professionals over my time, just to reprogram me and podcasts helped me massively." Danny said he found particular solace in listening to Mel Robbins, famed for her TEDx talk How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over, and business owners who shared his sentiments. "I just related to these people over the years of listening to podcasts and I found it so helpful," he revealed. "That's when I went to my wife and I was like, 'I think I need to go back to therapy', because I had that Ashley guy (one of his therapists) when I was 18, but then I feel like I needed it again. "And I felt like how many times can my wife hear me talk about this? And I didn't want it to get too much for her." While he is now in an improved mental and emotional state thanks to therapy, Danny said he still occasionally grapples with understanding his feelings. Reflecting on his stint in last year's I'm A Me Out Of Here!, he added: "There's definitely things that I've learned in the jungle, that I need to just talk about, [such as] understanding myself, and understanding my emotions. I still don't do that, because I think understanding my emotions will help me to communicate better. I just need to work on that." Michael McIntyre's The Wheel airs tonight at 7.05pm on BBC One.
