Rodgers insists replacing the goals of Kyogo Furuhashi and winger Nicolas Kuhn is vital.
But Idah — who bagged 20 in 53 appearances last season, with just 25 starts — is desperate for the chance to lead the line when the new campaign kicks off.
Asked if he could hit 30, the Irishman said: 'Yeah, 100 per cent. The more minutes I play, the more goals I'm going to score, it's a fact.
'I scored 20 goals with the minutes I played, which is really good.
'I'm sure the more minutes I play, I'll score more goals. I'm confident enough in myself that I can get to that.
'It's only a benchmark, so hopefully I can do it next season. I thought it was a really good season.
'The end didn't go our way, but personally I felt I had a good season.
'Of course, there can be a lot to improve on. But I think from my first full season at Celtic, it's been really good to return 20 goals.
'That's not easy at such a big club. Scoring in the Champions League and all sorts is really good stuff for me, so I'm really looking forward to my next season.
'I learned a lot over the course of the season, which I can hopefully bring into this one, so I'm really looking forward to going into the new one now.

'We've lost two big players who've contributed loads to the squad. So hopefully we can bring in others who can help out.
'Last season we had Daizen Maeda doing well and myself scoring, so we all did our part.'
Idah also insists he has the quality to be a player for the big occasion.
He added: 'I've been like that my whole career. I've scored in a lot of big games but now I want to kick forward and score in every other game.
'The big games are great to score in, but I want to be consistent now, and I think that's the big learning for me.

'I want to be the striker who plays every game and scores every game, every second game.
'It's not about just the one big game, you want to do it consistently and that's where the biggest players are the best.
'We're a team and we want to win games, win competitions and trophies, and we need the best players we can to do that.
'Regardless of who we sign, the whole team will be happy for it, and they'll add a really positive quality to the team.'

Idah and the Celtic squad visited the Estadio Nacional where the Lisbon Lions lifted the European Cup in 1967.
The 32-cap frontman added: 'It was nice for all of us to go and see it.
'I'm sure for the boys that probably don't know too much about Celtic, it would have been nice for them to see the stadium.
'It's massive for us as a club, so it was fantastic for everyone to see.'

I still have that fire – Jordan Henderson back in Premier League with Brentford
The 35-year-old England midfielder has completed a free transfer to the Bees and signed a two-year contract after leaving Ajax. The former Liverpool title-winning captain left Anfield in 2023, making a controversial move to Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq. 'After a couple of years away I still have that fire to come back and play in the Premier League again,' he told Brentford's social media. 'Obviously it's the best league in the world, with the best players. So it's a big challenge but one I'm keen on doing. 'When I was given the opportunity by Brentford and after speaking with the club it became an easy decision.' Henderson has been reunited with former Reds players Caoimhin Kelleher, Sepp van den Berg and Fabio Carvalho at the Gtech Stadium, while he also played against new Bees boss Keith Andrews early in his career. 'I think when I was at Sunderland I might have played against him a few times. He's another reason I wanted to come,' he added. Henderson, centre, won the Premier League and Champions League with Liverpool (Barrington Coombs/PA) 'Caoimhin isn't in yet but I've spoken to Sepp and Fab a bit, along with the rest of the lads. It's nice to have a few familiar faces, for sure. 'They're great lads that I got on really well with at Liverpool, so that's been nice for us to settle in.' Henderson will come up against boyhood club Sunderland at the end of August and will return to Liverpool in October. 'Both clubs mean a lot to me. I owe a lot to Sunderland and then Liverpool was a huge part of my life,' he said. Henderson has won 84 caps for England (Nick Potts/PA) 'But when I'm playing against them there's no friends, we know that in football.' Andrews moved for Henderson after losing Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard to Arsenal. 'When we became aware of Jordan's availability, it was a pretty simple decision,' Andrews told the Bees website. 'We did our due diligence around his recent games to see where he is. He's still phenomenally fit and he's still phenomenally motivated to achieve things in the game, having already achieved a lot. 'With the void of experienced players leaving the building – Christian Nørgaard, Mark Flekken and Ben Mee – it was important to replace that. Hend6️⃣rson — Brentford FC (@BrentfordFC) July 15, 2025 'What Jordan will bring is that he has been one of the most influential leaders in modern Premier League years. He's been at the forefront of driving for titles and Champions Leagues at a fantastic football club. 'He also has experience at international level with England and, with that, comes a level of experience, professionalism and dedication to his profession – that's the exact way we want to be as a football club.' Henderson now has 84 caps, having been recalled by England boss Thomas Tuchel this year. He admitted he regretted the move to Saudi Arabia after joining Dutch side Ajax in January 2024.

Thelo Aasgaard to Rangers gets savage verdict from ex SPFL star who makes bold Ibrox transfer prediction
Rangers new boy Thelo Aasgaard has been told that his move to Ibrox from Luton Town isn't a step up and that he should take the Scottish Premiership in his stride. The Liverpool-born Norway international is one of seven signings made by Gers boss Russell Martin so far, arriving for £2.5million from the Hatters, who were relegated to England's third tier last season. The playmaker is in line to make his competitive Light Blues debut in next Tuesday's first leg of the crunch Champions League second round qualifier at home to Panathinaikos as Rangers look to reach the revamped group stage of the competition for the first time since the 2021/22 campaign. But one former SPFL star reckons Aasgaard won't have any problems making an impact in Scotland because the standard is not as high as he is used to. Ex Motherwell striker and current EFL pundit Don Goodman said: "I've got to be honest with you, I don't think moving from the Championship to the SPFL is a step up - I really don't. I think he was brilliant at the end of last season for Luton. "He was a shining light in what was otherwise an absolutely dismal season for them. So I've got absolutely no doubt he is going to do really, really well north of the border." Martin has also recruited fellow midfielder Joe Rothwell this summer, having previously worked with him at Southampton. And Don Goodman won't be shocked to see the former Scotland international repeat the trick by going after a goalkeeper currently on the Saints' books, Gavin Bazunu. "It wouldn't be the biggest surprise", he added. "Russell Martin puts real implicit faith in goalkeepers playing out from the back and he had massive faith in Gavin Bazunu. "I remember him making several ricks actually at the start of their promotion season and Russell was very staunch in his defence and took responsibility because he wants his goalkeepers to play with their feet. "Again, if Aaron Ramsdale is going to stay at Southampton, there's no way that Gavin Bazunu is going to get regular first team football. So maybe a move would be best for all parties. Again, if it did come off, it really wouldn't be the biggest surprise.' Goodman has also tipped Rangers and city rivals Celtic to land Hull City forward Louie Barry, who was previously a transfer target for the Hoops back in January before he sealed his permanent exit from Aston Villa. He stated: "Louie Barry had a brilliant season at Stockport in the first half of last season, but really struggled badly at Hull. And despite being fit, he was only given two starts. "That, considering how Hull City was struggling at the time. It's a little bit of a worry really. Having said all of that, when you analyse the stream of players that do leave the EFL and go to Rangers or Celtic, there have been a lot of them that have really excelled. So it wouldn't be a move that I'd be surprised if it came about, if I'm honest with you. I do think when you play for Celtic or Rangers, you dominate most games up there in the SPFL and there's an opportunity for you to do well for sure."

'The message is still that Isak is not for sale'
It's not a given that Hugo Ekitike will play second fiddle to Alexander Isak, in fact there is a hope that they could play like versatility, they tried to sign Chelsea's Joao Pedro this summer who is another versatile striker. I don't expect them to switch formation for the first game of the season, but this move would allow a greater scope to change tactics throughout the message is still that Isak is not for sale. Newcastle are determined to keep him and don't need to sell for financial reasons. They are in the Champions League next season and want to be competitive in the league and all the cups so, even before Callum Wilson left, they were always going to need another has the profile they want and allows them team to be so much more flexible have quality but often at times last season lacked depth.
