#SHOWBIZ: Konsert Legasi P. Ramlee postponed to July 2026
Organiser TanahAir Films announced in a statement yesterday that the event will be expanded from a single performance into a full-fledged national arts and culture festival.
"The festival will debut in a new format that is more vibrant, inclusive and impactful, strengthened by the backing of strategic partners who see it as a national heritage platform with tremendous potential to unite the arts, culture and creative industries," the statement said.
Executive director of TanahAir Films, Datuk Khairul Anwar Salleh, said: "We no longer view Konsert Legasi P. Ramlee as just a one-off show. This is the foundation of a sustainable national cultural brand. With the involvement of orchestras, Malaysia's top performers, and key players in the creative industry, this transformation will allow for greater public and corporate participation, expanding both reach and impact."
He added that the shift to a festival format creates more meaningful engagement opportunities for brands and sponsors, including creative activations, social involvement, and broader national messaging across multiple platforms.
The event's creative director, Adlin Aman Ramlie, said: "From the concert stage to the cultural arts arena, this festival allows us to revive the spirit and soul of Tan Sri P. Ramlee in multiple dimensions. I see this as a chance to broaden the very meaning of legacy itself."
"P. Ramlee was not just an artiste; he embodied values, the spirit of an era, the voice of a nation, and the mind of a visionary unafraid to address issues, values, and emotions. This new approach will bring his legacy even closer to today's generation," he added.
TanahAir Films extended its thanks to all partners, sponsors, and media who have supported the initiative. They described the postponement as "a bold step to ensure that the upcoming festival will truly stand as a national-scale arts and cultural event with lasting impact."
"TanahAir Films apologises for any inconvenience caused and hopes that this unwavering support will continue to accompany them in realising a project that will be remembered for generations to come," the statement said.
Ticket holders will be contacted by Ticket2U within three weeks with options to reschedule, upgrade or request a refund.

2 New Tracks From Malaysian Acts Iskandar Zulkarnain & ALPHA Dive Into Love & Growth
These two recent local releases highlight the range of Malaysian music today. One marks a heartfelt solo comeback, while the other shows a softer side of a rising boy group. Iskandar Zulkarnain – 'Sewaktu Bahagia' After some time away from the spotlight former Projektor Band vocalist Iskandar Zulkarnain makes a strong return with 'Sewaktu Bahagia,' a new solo single released under Luncai Emas. Known for his emotionally driven vocal style, Iskandar once again leans into heartbreak – this time with a song written by Aidil AF and Jeremy Erskine, inspired by their real-life experiences with love and loss. Backed by the guidance of Dato' M. Nasir and the fresh production touch of Hidayat Nasir from Pitahati, 'Sewaktu Bahagia' captures the rawness of emotional upheaval. The lyrics paint a picture of broken trust and fading joy, all set to a classic pop rock arrangement that feels both nostalgic and current. Iskandar hopes the song will stand the test of time and resonate across generations. The song is now available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming platforms. ALPHA – 'P. Ramlee & Saloma' Following their high-energy debut 'Mona Lisa (Bang Bang),' seven-member boy group ALPHA returns with something entirely different. Their second single 'P. Ramlee & Saloma' is a ballad that reveals a more introspective, emotional side of the group. Formed through the reality competition Big Stage Alpha, the group – made up of Daniel, Izat, Rizal, Ariel, Araff, Ray-D and Sky – was selected from hundreds of aspiring male contestants across Southeast Asia. Their goal has always been to redefine what a pop group can be, and this new single reflects that direction. The song was produced by Justin Seow, Mohsein Kush and RFE under Rocketfuel Entertainment. It positions ALPHA not just as performers, but as a cohesive group with musical range. While 'Mona Lisa' introduced them with attitude and flair, 'P. Ramlee & Saloma' focuses on sincerity, showcasing their vocal strength and artistic growth. The song is now streaming on all major platforms, with a music video release coming soon.
