Style Edit: Dua Lipa is the face of the new Chanel 25 bag, appearing at the brand's Haute Couture show in Paris – and getting in a New York state of mind for the campaign video shot in Manhattan
English-Albanian
singer-songwriter Dua Lipa recently stole the spotlight when she made an appearance at Chanel's Haute Couture show in Paris carrying the maison's latest must-have handbag, the Chanel 25.
It's not the first time the singer has worn creations from the storied house. In 2018 she donned the brand for a performance at the Grammy Museum in LA and also turned heads in three different
Chanel looks at the 2023 Met Gala.
Chanel even designed several custom looks for her recent Asian tour.

Now the songstress is writing her next chapter with the house as the face of the Chanel 25 handbag.
The latest addition to the house's emblematic accessories, this new design revisits familiar Chanel codes – quilting, interlaced chains, multiple pockets – with a bold, functional approach.

Its chic combination of sophistication and versatility makes it the ideal match for this artist and role model whose inimitable style and magnetism have made her one of the most stylish icons of this generation.
'I'm obsessed with this bag. It's the perfect kind of bag for me as someone who's always on the move and likes to carry around everything, especially because it's got these great pockets for all my favourite things. It's just the perfect everyday bag!' says Lipa.

'Beckham to be awarded knighthood by King Charles'
'Beckham to be awarded knighthood by King Charles' King Charles chats with David Beckham at the Chelsea Flower Show. Photo: AFP David Beckham will be awarded a knighthood by King Charles next week in recognition of his football career and his charity work, reports said on Friday. The former England football captain is set to be named in the King's Birthday Honours List, according to sources. Other sporting figures who have been awarded the title include Beckham's former manager at Manchester United, Alex Ferguson, and British tennis great Andy Murray. The Sun newspaper said he would take the title of "Sir" and his wife, Victoria, a former member of the Spice Girls pop group, will be known as Lady Beckham. Beckham played 115 times for England as well as for a list of high-profile clubs, including United and Real Madrid. He is currently the president and co-owner of the US team Inter Miami and co-owner of Salford City, who play in the fourth tier of English football. The 50-year-old, who has long been in the running for a knighthood, was appointed an officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2003 – a lower award in Britain's honours system. Victoria later received the same award for services to the fashion industry. David Beckham was last month named in Time Magazine's list of the 100 most influential leaders in philanthropy. He is an official ambassador for The King's Foundation, supporting its education programmes and "efforts to ensure young people have a greater understanding of nature" and has been a Unicef goodwill ambassador since 2005. Fine and dandy: how luxury houses are embracing a return to refined accoutrements, from British labels Dunhill and Purdey, to Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee
At this year's Met Gala , an unexpected accessory emerged as the evening's quiet stand-out: the walking stick. Alongside jewel-handled umbrellas, watch fobs and even an ornate monocle, these gentlemanly flourishes added a sense of old-world formality to the event's 'Tailored for You' dress code, a tribute to the tradition of Black dandyism. Photo: AFP Advertisement Met Gala co-chair A$AP Rocky carried a custom silver umbrella by New York jeweller Briony Raymond, set with 90 carats' worth of diamonds and with a handle shaped like a revolver (likely a nod to Rocky's recent acquittal on gun charges, as well as a reference to Umbrella, the 2007 hit by his partner Rihanna ). Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan was dressed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, his look made complete with this Bengal Tiger Head cane. Photo: Invision/AP For Indian fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee , who dressed Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan for the evening, the cane wasn't just an accessory – it was central to the look. 'Shah Rukh Khan is such an important star and often wears very simple, tailored clothing. As an icon, you don't want to detract from the public image that already exists,' said Mukherjee. ' Stars like Shah Rukh Khan don't need to be dressed in a costume – they're so big that they just need to be presented as themselves.' Khan's cane, designed for the event, was inspired by the regal traditions of the historic region of the subcontinent called Bengal. 'I also wanted to evoke the image of Bengal's nobility, who carried walking sticks often adorned with bejewelled heads of tigers, elephants and lions,' said Mukherjee. 'Depending on one's status, the heads were cast in silver or gold, and for the wealthiest, entirely encrusted with gemstones.' The Sabyasachi Bengal Tiger Head cane. Photo: Handout Mukherjee's creation was a tour de force of craftsmanship: a Bengal tiger's head cast in 18k gold, its eyes of blue sapphire, its tongue carved from pink tourmaline, and the head adorned with pastel sapphires and old mine-cut diamonds. 'The Sabyasachi Bengal Tiger Head cane is a homage to Calcutta's goldsmithing heritage, with a nod to the colonial influence of British carpentry, creating a look that is global yet rooted in the soul and traditions of India,' he said. For Mukherjee, such meticulous detail signals a broader shift towards classic elegance. 'The internet has made us incredibly lazy,' he notes. 'We are no longer as well put together, as everything is taken too casually. Dressing up is important because it instils a sense of formality and discipline. I think the world could use a reminder of standards and the importance of holding oneself to them. The act of dressing up shows effort, and that's refreshing to see in fashion.'
