Scottie Scheffler will face the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship under unusual conditions, as he won't have Ted Scott by his side.
The legendary caddie had to return home suddenly due to a personal matter, so Scheffler will have to pursue his 18th career victory without him.
Scott's unexpected absence from the fourth round of the first PGA Tour playoff event was announced on the tour's website. Although no details were made public as to why the caddie had to leave, it was mentioned that Scheffler will have a familiar face looking after his bag.
Scheffler's caddie will be Brad Payne, who previously worked with him during the third round of the 2024 PGA Championship, a fact that has largely been overshadowed by Scheffler's arrest at Valhalla Golf Club that week.

Payne serves as chaplain to PGA Tour players and has a close relationship with Scheffler, both through his duties on tour and through residing in Dallas as the current World No. 1. Additionally, Payne has caddied for numerous players and even played college golf for Pepperdine University.
Scheffler and Scott began working together in 2022. That same year, Scheffler earned his first four PGA Tour wins, including his first major championship. Since then, he has won 17 tournaments on the American-based tour, including four majors, always with Scott looking after his bag.
To these titles must be added his two victories in the unofficial Hero World Challenge, his gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, his victories in the 2022 and 2024 Presidents Cups, and his participation in the 2023 Ryder Cup.

If he wins this Sunday at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, it would be the first time Scheffler has lifted a PGA Tour title without Scott by his side. Although Scott did loop for Scheffler through the first three rounds.
Scheffler is deeply involved in contention for the title at the event, played at TPC Southwind. With 18 holes remaining, he has a score of 12-under and is just two strokes behind leader Tommy Fleetwood.

Caitlin Clark rookie card sells for whopping $317K to continue record-breaking auction run
It's hard to understate Caitlin Clark's value. And one place you absolutely will not do that is at an auction. The Indiana Fever megastar, who is still out due to a groin injury, is making waves in the world of sports memorabilia, though not by her own doing. Clark's 2024 Panini Flawless Logowoman rookie card, a one-of-one edition featuring an autographed jersey patch sold for a whopping $317,000 at auction on Saturday. 3 Caitlin Clark brings the ball up court during the game against the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on July 11, 2025 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Getty Images The auction began at a comparatively modest $50,000 on July 11, ending on Saturday at over six times the original amount. They auctioned 21 bids, according to Goldin Auctions, and quickly doubled to $100,000 at the auction just over 40 minutes after the initial bid. The bidding reached $180,000 within two days, which was the top price until a bidder came in at $200,000 on July 30. As of August 9, the highest bidder was committed to a $260,000 purchase. This was one of three Clark Logowoman cards released through Panini America's 2024 Rookie Royalty WNBA collection. 3 Caitlin Clark looks on before the game against the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge Arena on August 03, 2025 in Seattle, Washington. That's the record holder for any women's sports card at public auction, per Yahoo. This marks the third time Clark's cards have sold for over $300,000. Clark, due to injuries, has been limited to just 13 appearances this season. 3 Caitlin Clark #22 of the Indiana Fever claps on the bench during the game against the Phoenix Mercury on August 7, 2025. NBAE via Getty Images To this point in the year, she has averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.5 turnovers per contest. She's only shooting 36.7 percent from the field this season, and her 3-point shooting has dropped off to 27.9 percent. The Fever, however, have found a way to pick up the pieces and be a contender in the league. They currently sit at No. 5 in the WNBA (18-14), firmly in the playoff race as they await Clark's return, though that date is unknown for the time being.

He was also able to bend his knee, albeit slightly, while walking off the field with assistance. Advertisement Dickerson had agreed to an extension with the Eagles during the offseason, inking a four-year deal worth up to $87 million with incentives. The deal makes him the highest-paid guard in NFL history, according to The 26-year-old Dickerson, a three-time Pro Bowler, had been listed as a limited participant in practice on Saturday due to a knee issue but was a full participant during Sunday's session. Backup offensive lineman Brett Toth has filled in at left guard during Dickerson's previous absences. The Eagles have joint practices scheduled with the Cleveland Browns this week. Advertisement Dickerson's availability for those sessions, as well as Philly's upcoming preseason games, remains unknown for the moment. Dickerson has made three straight Pro Bowls across the 2022-2024 seasons and has been a full-time starter since being selected in Round 2, No. 37 overall, in the 2021 NFL Draft.
