An inquest previously heard how the water Kyra drowned in was marked as "shallow."
Her heartbroken parents have now spoken out about the horror of watching their daughter take her last breaths.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Kyra's father, Leonard, spoke about watching on in horror as his daughter sunk below the murky water three times while a lifeguard watched on and did nothing.
He described seeing CCTV footage showing the 17-year-old life guard fail to act while standing in the exact spot his daughter drowned.
Kyra vanished in August 2022 while attending the leisure centre with her family.
Authorities were called but the youth was tragically found over an hour later.
She had drowned in a body of water 2.68 meters deep despite a 17-year-old lifeguard managing to reach the exact point where she disappeared under the water.
An inquest into Kyra's death heard that the lifeguard was unable to rescue her as the staff at Liquid Leisure were only qualified to perform "surface-water rescues."
Kyra's parents are now battling for tighter safety measures to be implemented at leisure centres in the hopes of preventing another tragedy.
They say that the lifeguard should have been able to rescue their daughter from drowning and are calling for better training to be provided.

Kyra's dad described CCTV footage showing the lifeguard standing in a "pool of bubbles" at Kyra's "pinpoint location" as his daughter took her last breath.
He told how he felt the lifeguard was "never going to dive under" to save his daughter.
Leonard added that the lifeguard had "not been trained, she was only trained in surface rescue" saying that the teen lifeguard was "not equipped with the right tools."
Kyra's grief stricken family are pushing for safety regulations to be improved around water parks, asking for CCTV to be manned at all times.

An inquest ruled that Kyra's tragic death was unlawful

The couple pointed out that no emergency plan or protocol was in place at the leisure centre.
Kyra's mother, Heather, said that despite CCTV footage capturing her daughters death no staff were trained or briefed on how to respond in an emergency situation.
CCTV footage at the pool was not being monitored she said, adding that it took more than an hour for the footage to be checked after emergency services arrived.
Shortly after the CCTV was seen, a diver managed to locate Kyra and pull her body from the water.
Kyra's tragic death was previously ruled as unlawful at an inquest.
At the time the coroner commented on poor signage describing deep water as "shallow."
The coroner, Heidi Connor, went on to describe the sings as "falsely reassuring."
Ms Connor also commented on children being permitted to swim without buoyancy aids and parents not being advised to attend with a ratio of one adult per four children.
Rachel Marcus, representing Kyra's devastated family, asked the coroner to consider a charge of gross negligence manslaughter by Liquid Leisure owner Stuart Marston.
She also called for an additional charge of corporate manslaughter.
The inquest found breaches included the lack of an emergency plan or a risk assessment.
The park's owner was fined £80,000 in June 2024.

Lost girl, 6, sexually assaulted at major waterpark after stranger ‘offered to help her before dragging her into woods'

The attack comes after a significant rise in sexual assaults in swimming pools reported in Germany PARK HORROR Lost girl, 6, sexually assaulted at major waterpark after stranger 'offered to help her before dragging her into woods' Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A SIX-year-old girl was sexually assaulted after getting separated from her parents at a water park - with the depraved perpetrator still on the run. The horrifying ordeal took place when the suspect approached the child offering to help - but then dragged her to the woods before sexually abusing her. The facility, run by Europa-park, is located in Rust, Baden-Württemberg, near the French border. German police said the sick attack took place on Saturday, August 9, L'Alsace reported. After sexually abusing her, the suspect reportedly left her alone in the woods. She was then found by a local passerby around 10pm the same day. The area she was discovered in was about 5km from the water park, and she was only wearing a swimsuit. The suspect is reportedly a 31-year-old Romanian national. He was living in the local region at the time of the attack, reports say. Cops are desperately continuing their manhunt for the suspect. And they put out an appeal for any information that may lead to his arrest. I was sexually assaulted hundreds of feet in air while on paraglide ride during Tunisia holiday… I felt violated and dirty Police said: "Anyone present in Rulantica or in the wooded area north of the park on Saturday between 8:20 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. who may have noticed the presence of the man and the girl should contact the German authorities." The beloved Rulantica water park can hold a maximum of 6,000 visitors per day. It comes after there were reportedly hundreds of reports of sexual assaults in public swimming pools in Germany - in what has been called an epidemic. In one of the worst hit regions, 74 alleged attacks have been recorded recently with several involving children - including eight young girls in one day. The issue started to raise questions across Germany after a concerning number of reports were made in June. Cops arrested four Syrian suspects, aged 18 to 28, the next month and accused them of sexually assaulting up to eight girls in a public swimming pool in Hesse. The victims were aged between 11 to 16 and had all been at the Barbarossabad pool on the same day. Criminal charges were filed against all of the suspects, who were also been banned from the pool following the harrowing incident.

I escaped horror house fire that killed my two kids – trolls said I should have saved them… but I couldn't breathe

The mother only narrowly escaped sustaining serious injuries 'MOTHER'S NIGHTMARE' I escaped horror house fire that killed my two kids – trolls said I should have saved them… but I couldn't breathe Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A MUM who escaped a house fire which killed her two children says vicious trolls tell her she should have saved them. Jade Horton desperately tried to rescue her two children, Issac and Sienna Jenkins, aged three and seven, in the horror blaze at their family home five years ago. Jade was woken to the terrible sound of her daughter screaming in her bedroom. Upon opening her door, Jade was quickly overpowered by the smoke and heat emitting from the floor below. The neighbours had already phoned the fire brigade from the family's back garden as Jade rushed to her bedroom window to scream for help. She was also trying frantically to get in touch with her partner Andy who had already left for work. Racing back from work, Andy tried to make it into the house with two other neighbours but the blaze was too strong for them to reach Jade and the kids upstairs. Firefighters reached the house within minutes but couldn't enter the property as the fire had advanced so quickly. Jade had previously told an inquest into the tragedy: "I heard Sienna calling for me. I tried to open her door but couldn't. There was smoke coming from Sienna's bedroom. "I couldn't get downstairs. The heat was so intense. "I went to my bedroom window and shouted as loud as I could 'Help, help." At least one dead as wildfires spread across Europe with Mount Vesuvius closed in Italy & French vineyards turned to ash After she could no longer hear Sienna, Jade thought her children had been saved. She says that if she knew her children were still in the house she would have "died with them". Jade escaped by jumping from her window and sustained traumatic injuries leaving her body broken. Screaming for her children, covered in glass and blood, her neighbours avoided her gaze as her partner said "they're gone". "I remember hearing this guttural, animal-like scream that must have come from me – but it was like I wasn't in my own body," she told The Mail. Jade broke both her heel bones, ankles, pelvis, her sternum, right wrist, three fingers and all ten toes from the jump. Her spine was also broken in four places and shattered her right-hip socket - her chances of survival were slim. After numerous surgeries, Jade was told she would be left permanently paralysed. When the tragic story hit the news, she was subject to a barrage of abuse and vicious online trolling accusing her of abandoning her children to save herself. She said every article she read on what happened was accompanied by comments saying she had "left her children to die". "I thought I couldn't be in any more pain, but that hurt the most," she said. Even Jade began to doubt herself and questioned whether she could have done more. But an official inquest later revealed she couldn't have done anything else to save Issac and Sienna. The inquest also heard how the blaze reached around 1000C and the house's fire alarms didn't work with a "perfect storm" of conditions drawing the fire and smoke upwards. It also ruled that TV electrics in Issac's bedroom likely caused the blaze - Jade was paid a settlement by the manufacturer last year. Speaking five years later, Jade smiles at her final memories of her children. She sang Issac his favourite nursery rhymes and read Sienna her favourite story that night as she tucked them into bed. "I'm glad I cuddled them and kissed them before watching them both fall asleep happy that night," she said. Jade was treated in hospital for months but still managed to walk again despite doctors saying it wasn't possible. But mentally she was broken, haunted by flashbacks and suicidal thoughts. Since then, Jade turned to alternative therapies and has retrained as a spiritual healer finding peace in helping others. She has moved house and even won a Woman of Courage award for building a holistic business in the face of adversity. When she went on stage to collect her award, she said she could hear Issac and Sienna cheering "louder than anyone else".

Abdullah, who used an Arabic interpreter, pleaded not guilty to the two alleged offences. Judge Jonathan Fuller KC said: "The matter will be adjourned for trial which will take place on May 5 next year. "You will have to be back here on October 30 for a further case management hearing. "You will be remanded to your bail subject to the same conditions that were imposed at this court in July." His conditional bail, which includes a tagged home curfew, was continued by the judge. Abdullah arrived in Britain as an asylum seeker in 2023 and has been granted permanent leave to remain. The student was arrested at his home in West Drayton, Middlesex, following the alleged assault. Police were called to the public toilet in Undercliff Drive in Bournemouth, at around 1.57am on July 6. Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen, of the Dorset Police Major Crime Investigation Team, said: 'After extensive enquiries, an 18-year-old man from the West Drayton area of Middlesex was arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault. "After consulting with our colleagues in the Crown Prosecution Service, charges were authorised in respect of rape and sexual assault. 'I would like to pass on my thanks to the members of the public who have come forward and assisted our investigation. 'The victim is continuing to be supported and has been updated with the developments in the investigation."
