Like any other spectator, Harry Gill was enjoying his evening, watching international cricket return to Darwin after 17 years, with a couple of vodka cans in hand.
Little did he know that he would end up becoming a celebrity in his hometown.

In the 12th over of Australia's innings against South Africa, Tim David hammered a flat six into the crowd, where Gill pulled off a one-handed stunner with his left hand while holding both drinks in his right — without spilling a drop.
'The lemonade ones are bloody good. I've got a bit of a hangover this morning,' Gill was quoted as saying by The Age.
'It just stuck. My hand is a bit sore this morning but, yeah, happy with it. My phone is blowing up,' said the 26-year-old pilot from Darwin.
Gill's grab has been compared to the famous crowd catch taken by Channel Nine cameraman Tony Fox in 1987, when Ian Botham launched Simon O'Donnell down the ground for six.
Fox took it with both hands — cigarette in mouth.
Gill admitted his dad had sent him the clip, but he isn't putting himself in the same league.
Poll
Was Harry Gill's catch more impressive than the famous catch by Tony Fox in 1987?
Yes, definitely!
No, Tony Fox's catch was iconic.
Both were amazing in their own right.
'His is so much cooler, bro,' Gill said. 'I wish I had a durry [cigarette] in my mouth so I could have done that.
'The South African cricketer in front of me said it was a pretty good catch.'

Former Australian cricketer and Fox commentator Mark Waugh, referring to the 1987 effort, said of Gill's catch: 'You just need a smoke and you'd be right at home.'
Tim David bludgeoned eight sixes in his robust 83 to lead Australia to a 17-run win over South Africa in the first T20 on Sunday, as international cricket returned to Darwin after 17 years.

NBA Trade Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Could Target $45 Million Boston Celtics Forward to Support Luka Doncic and LeBron James

Luka Doncic and LeBron James (Image via Joe Murphy/ Getty Images) The Los Angeles Lakers strengthened their perimeter shooting in July by bringing in Jake LaRavia. However, with no major trade executed so far, the team might still be in the market for another consistent long-range threat. According to ESPN's Zach Kram, Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser could be a realistic target this summer. 'It likely will be easier for the Lakers to find shooters than quality two-way big men in the years to come,' Kram wrote last Wednesday. 'The current supply of shooting in the NBA is so great that the skill set is generally available for cheap. The Lakers probably could acquire players such as Grayson Allen (10th) and Sam Hauser (12th) in trades without too much fuss if they wanted. ' Why Sam Hauser Makes Sense for the Los Angeles Lakers Sam Hauser, 27, has established himself as one of the NBA's most reliable bench shooters. Achieving a three-point percentage above 40% in one season is difficult, but doing it for four straight years as a role player is a rare feat. Sam Hauser (Image via USA TODAY Sports) His most recent season was particularly impressive, finishing with a 41.6% shooting mark from beyond the arc. That level of efficiency, combined with his championship experience with the Celtics, makes him a prime candidate for a team like the Los Angeles Lakers , who are aiming to boost their outside scoring without compromising roster flexibility. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Walking Hurts? Why Gabe Vincent Could Be Involved • Salary alignment for trade purposes • Experience as a playoff-tested guard • Provides Boston with a backcourt depth option Such a move would give the Celtics added guard depth while giving the Lakers another high-level shooter to pair with their core stars. The Los Angeles Lakers' front office will have to decide whether Hauser's elite shooting and championship pedigree are worth parting with a rotational guard. While LaRavia 's arrival has improved spacing, the addition of a proven sharpshooter like Hauser could push Los Angeles into a new offensive tier. How ultra rich ultra strict college with no booze, no s*x rules is rewriting the rules for America's top athletes (Image via Getty) AJ Dybantsa is one of the biggest basketball stars in America right now. At just 18 years old, he is the top basketball prospect in the country. First published by Daily Mail, many people expect him to be the first pick in the 2026 NBA draft. But what surprised many is where he chose to play college basketball. Instead of going to famous schools like Alabama or North Carolina, AJ picked Brigham Young University, or BYU. This is a private school in Provo, Utah, known for strict rules that stop students from drinking alcohol, smoking, or having s*x before marriage. AJ's choice shocked many sports fans and experts because BYU is not known for winning national basketball titles. AJ Dybantsa's choice of BYU shows a new path for top athletes With a strict yet loving father, Ace Dybantsa, AJ Dybantsa was raised near Boston, Massachusetts. Ten push-ups every morning and evening were assigned to all of his youngsters by AJ's father when he was young. Because discipline and accountability are important to his father, those lessons helped AJ become a basketball star. Last year, AJ stunned everyone by signing up for BYU. The school has a strict Honor Code that prohibits alcohol consumption, smoking, and extramarital s*x. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Jolie-Pitt Family Shows Support For Shiloh's Change Drivepedia Undo Although it has a robust support system and expanding sports program, BYU has never claimed a national basketball title. AJ's decision reflects major changes in college athletics. Players can now profit from endorsements thanks to fresh rules called NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness). With some sources claiming it might reach $8.5 million, AJ's contract at BYU is thought to be valued at roughly $5 million. Even against conventional sports powerhouses, this positions BYU as a formidable opponent for top athletes. The school has a significant sports budget and is willing to invest to create a successful program. Also Read: Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf's daughter Jaz shows sweet support for dad's thoughtful leadership speech Kevin Young and Ryder Lyons join AJ Dybantsa to raise BYU's game One reason AJ Dybantsa chose BYU is the basketball coach, Kevin Young. Young used to coach NBA players like Joel Embiid and Kevin Durant. He signed a seven-year contract with BYU worth $30 million. Young told the school's richest donors that he can turn BYU into a top basketball program. The school now has a full professional staff, including dietitians and trainers, to support players like AJ. In 2027, BYU will also welcome Ryder Lyons, a top football recruit. Lyons is expected to be BYU's best quarterback recruit in 20 years. Both athletes will help BYU grow as a place for top sports talent. AJ Dybantsa plans to spend just one season at BYU before entering the NBA draft. His father says AJ knows the strict rules and the consequences if he breaks them. The family's focus on discipline could make this a successful new chapter for both AJ and BYU basketball. 'It's not real': Lunchbox blasts Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's romance as ‘Hollywood scam' to fool fans

Lunchbox stirs debate over Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Ohio house hunt (Getty Images) The celebrity world is buzzing again after reports surfaced that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted touring two luxury homes in Northeast Ohio, near Kelce's hometown. According to Page Six, the pair also enjoyed lunch in Chagrin Falls, a charming suburb close to Cleveland Heights, where the Kansas City Chiefs tight end grew up. Lunchbox stirs debate over Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Ohio house hunt While fans see the move as a sign their romance is growing stronger, Bobby Bones Show personality Lunchbox isn't convinced. He insists the public shouldn't read too much into it. 'They have so much money… it doesn't even matter if she buys a house. It's just more publicity so they can say, 'Hey, look. We really like each other.'' Lunchbox EXPOSES Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce: "It's All FAKE Like Tom Cruise!" For many fans, the timing of the house hunt is telling. Kelce has been the subject of quiet retirement whispers following a recent burglary at his Kansas City home. Swift, whose real estate portfolio is reportedly worth $80 million, has the means and flexibility to relocate — and a shared home could signal a deeper commitment. Still, Lunchbox is doubling down on his skepticism. 'It's not real,' he declared on-air, likening the speculation to another infamous Hollywood pairing: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. 'Same thing Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes did… They even had a kid. Exactly. That was commitment. They didn't even like each other.' Comparing the Kelce-Swift buzz to past celebrity PR romances The on-air debate touched on long-standing rumors that Cruise's marriage to Holmes was orchestrated for publicity. 'You hear all the stories about how he auditioned all these actresses to be his next wife,' Lunchbox said, adding, 'That's the ultimate committed to the bit. They never loved each other.' While Lunchbox isn't buying the narrative that Swift and Kelce's relationship is purely organic, he admitted that if they are indeed playing the long game, it deserves some respect. 'If this is them committed to that level, we should at least respect it and go, 'We think it's real. I think it's real.''
