From HBO, the upcoming series will adapt JK Rowling's novels for a new generation.
Dominic is set to star as Harry, with Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger acting alongside him to round out the wizarding trio.
The young actor is taking on the famous role from Daniel Radcliffe who portrayed The Boy Who Lived in the films.
Filming for the TV series has already kicked off at the Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden in the UK and will hit TV screens in 2027.
Showrunners have guaranteed the new series will be a "faithful adaptation" of the books penned by controversial author, J.K Rowling, who is also serving as an executive producer.
The three new young stars join a talented cast including John Lithgow as Professor Albus Dumbledore and a number of other famous faces and Bafta winners.
The latest cast announced includes, Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.
Johnny Flynn will play the villainous Lucius Malfoy, replacing Jason Isaacs in his iconic movie role.
Series regulars will include Janet McTeer as Professor Minerva McGonagall, Nick Frost as groundskeeper Hagrid and Paapa Essiedu as Professor Severus Snape.
Rounding out that announcement were Luke Thallon as Quirrell and Paul Whitehouse as Filch.
Harry Potter legend breaks his silence as replacement cast in HBO TV series
They will also have big shoes to fill - succeeding the late Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane and Alan Rickman.
The Sun revealed how HBO's adaptation will be filmed in a £billion mini town - including a school and medical centre.
It will include new roads, multi-storey car parks and vast hangars to house the sets.
A TV insider said: 'Warner Bros are making a huge commitment to the new TV show, looking at making multiple, lengthy series over the next decade.
Harry Potter Rich List
HARRY Potter star Jessie Cave has launched an OnlyFans page to rake in cash following her movie fame. Yet who are the richest stars from the film franchise?
According to reports, protagonist Daniel Radcliffe, 35, who played magician Harry, is now worth around £100million.
Emma Watson 35, who played Hermione Granger and the lead in Beauty and the Beast, is sitting pretty with £61million.
Harry Potter author JK Rowling, 59 - who famously went from living on benefits to being a multi-millionaire within five years - is now worth a staggering £1.2billion.
Meanwhile Rupert Grint, 36, who played Ron Weasley, has an estimated net worth of £40million.
'So they see pumping a huge amount of cash in upfront to construct this infrastructure as a worthwhile investment which they'll eventually get a return on.
'What they'll have is a small metropolis which will not only provide the backdrop for the show but all the facilities the huge cast and crew need, too.'

The Estate is a Westminster fever-dream
Photo by Helen Murray Fashioning art from the contemporary political scene is no mean feat. Politicians are up, then down, then up again, and ideas and policies are dreamed up as quicky as they are thrown out. The playwright Shaan Sahota's debut play, The Estate, makes a valiant attempt to turn politics into drama: there are moments that echo the frenzied chaos of July 2022, when the prospect of Boris Johnson's resignation seemed more like a Westminster feverdream than a political reality. Sahota's protagonist, Angad Singh, is the MP for Reading Central and shadow environment secretary (his party isn't identified). Angad, dexterously played by the Bafta-winning actor Adeel Akhtar, is a slight, asthmatic man, whose motivation for entering politics is unclear. The play opens in his office in Westminster, decked out with all the parliamentary trimmings (including green chairs, lanyards and visitor passes) in a set designed by Chloe Lamford. The leader of the opposition has just resigned over a sex scandal, throwing his party into a frenzy. Angad is immediately pressed to run for the leadership by his excessively keen staffers, who are more like caricatures from The Thick of It than developed, three-dimensional characters. But this is not the only drama consuming Angad. Early in the play, his father dies, and his spectre hangs over Angad throughout the show's two and a half hours. A Punjabi Sikh with a large property portfolio, Singh senior had high hopes for his only son: he sent him to Harrow and later supported him through Oxford. When Angad's two elder sisters, Malicka (Shelley Conn) and Gyan (Thusitha Jayasundera), discover they have been written out of their father's will, they spend the rest of the play locked in a war of attrition with their brother. The Estate is captivating and deeply unsettling. It dances confusingly between critiques of the roles played by race, class and gender in the British political system. Even so, it is a bracing exploration of the corrupting power of politics and a reminder that underneath it all, MPs are still human. Game of Thrones fans 'demand to riot' after major update on spin-off series
Game of Thrones fans have been left furious after an update was given about a new spin-off series. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on George RR Martin's The Tales of Dunk and Egg, is set to be released on HBO next year. The stories follow Dunk – aka Ser Duncan the Tall, the future Lord Commander of the Kingsguard – and Egg, the future king Aegon V Targaryen. Based around 100 years before the events of Game of Thrones, but 100 years after House of the Dragon, the new project has left fans eagerly awaiting its arrival. However, following a recent update that the first series will feature six episodes that are 30-35 minutes long, it's fair to say that people have been left disappointed. Taking to Reddit, balthazar_edison questioned: 'How does it take this long to make 6 half hours episodes?' Xsearleyx added: '6 half hour episodes is absolutely pathetic. What's the point, just make if a movie.' DisMeDog also complained: 'A full year from now we will get three total hours of a tv show then we need to wait a couple years for another possible three hours? I genuinely hate the way content is released these days.' Fans were, however, happy to hear that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been renewed for season two and three at HBO before the first season has even aired. Currently there are seven Game of Thrones spin-off series in various stages of development, consisting of three live-action and four animated projects. These include: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms The Golden Empire – live-action series The Sea Snake (Nine Voyages) – animation The Blackfyre Rebellions – in development Untitled Targaryen-Line Series – in development According to Redanian Intelligence, the first season is said to be arriving in 2026 while the second season is being written 'as we speak'. @JimmyCVAMC wrote on X: 'Absolutely cannot wait for this show.' @Illbe_your_moon also said: 'Getting two more seasons before even airing… That's huge confidence, and even bigger expectations!' Meanwhile, @SirTopiano argued: 'Early renewals signal confidence that Westeros' next saga will capture imaginations again.' More Trending Peter Claffey has been cast as Dunk in the series, which has been filmed in Ireland, while Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, Tanzyn Crawford, Daniel Ings and Sam Spruell are also in the cast. An official synposis reads: 'A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. 'Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.'
