Samsung's latest smart home product is a $1,000 AI-powered water purifier
You'll notice the trend rippling through its latest products, integrating AI and Bixby voice control into its extensive home appliance range from smart fridges to smart washing machines, like the Samsung Bespoke Smart Front Load Washer.
And Samsung has recently announced its latest AI-integrated home product. The Bespoke AI Water Purifier is a smart countertop water purifier that utilizes four levels of filtration and is controlled via Samsung's SmartThings app and Bixby voice recognition.
Because what's better than filtering out harmful substances from your water? Doing it without lifting a finger.
For now, it's only available in South Korea, costing the equivalent of $1,000. However, there are hopes that it will roll out globally in the future.
The company's newest pioneering creation can reportedly filter out 82 different types of harmful substances from water, which, in comparison to its South Korean rivals, is more than any other on the market.
How? Well, it uses a four-stage filtration system equipped with a stainless steel direct water pipe that's corrosion-resistant.
Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips.
Every three days, the purifier also uses electrolysis to make sure the water pipes are sterilized. And, via the Samsung SmartThings app, you'll get an alert when the filter needs to be replaced.
The app and integrated Bixby voice commands will also allow you to adjust water output and temperature. Want 16 fl oz. of purified water to fill up your water bottle? No problem.
Samsung's love of integrating AI is a bold shift towards its vision for homes of the future, and the Bespoke AI Water Purifier Countertop is the niche idea I didn't know I needed. If I had a spare $1,000 to spend, that is.
For now, the price point isn't competitive compared to other filtration systems on the market. But, if you're dedicated to AI as strongly as Samsung is, it may be worth the investment.
Buying a smart water purifier might not seem like a priority right now, especially when it'll cost you $1,000, but the concept behind it is certainly becoming increasingly more popular.
Chinese tech company Xiaomi recently released two smart water purifiers exclusively in China, equivalently priced at around $300 / $555. And there are countertop options that you can get in the US, like the Ecozy, the world's first smart ice and water dispenser, available for $599.99.
Whether Samsung's newest water purifier is worth your money, it's all speculation right now since we don't know if there's a US launch imminent or not.

Tesla teases a new Model Y L variant is 'coming soon' in a video posted to Chinese social media
A new Tesla variant is coming around the corner. On Monday, Tesla posted a video of the upcoming Model Y L to its account on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform. Translated from Chinese, the post said that the vehicle was "coming soon." The video shows three rows of seats, the back two of which fold forward. The middle row of the vehicle features two stand-alone "captain chairs," which also appear to have new powered armrests that rise up. While the captain chairs in the Model X only tilt forward, these chairs appear to fold all the way down for more storage space. The video also shows a black headliner, the material on the vehicle's ceiling, and a new logo stamped on the back, with two small accents added to the traditional Model Y badge. News of Tesla's plans for a six-seat rendition of its Model Y first broke in 2024, when sources told Reuters that the vehicle would launch the following year in China. In July, Tesla registered plans for the Model Y L with a wheelbase of 3,040 mm, according to a filing viewed by the news outlet. The filing also indicated that the Model Y L would be almost 200 mm longer than the Model Y. The Model Y is the most popular SUV in China. China is Tesla's second-largest market, though the company's sales have been sagging in the region amid fierce competition from BYD, Xiaomi, and Xpeng. Tesla sold 129,000 vehicles in China in the second quarter of 2025, down nearly 12% year-over-year. BYD sold 1.76 million battery electric cars in 2024. Tesla sold 1.79 million cars that same year, edging out its Chinese competitor. The Chinese smartphone and electric vehicle company Xiaomi recently launched its own SUV, underpricing Tesla. Chinese EV startup Xpeng also released a Model Y competitor below the Model Y sticker price. It is not yet clear whether Tesla plans to launch the Model Y L in the United States. The vehicle's price and launch date have yet to be announced.

Fila Parent Company Misto Holdings Reports Q2 Revenue Gains Despite Economic Uncertainty
Fila parent company Misto Holdings delivered growth in the second quarter despite economic slowdown and weakened consumer sentiment. According to the South Korean company, consolidated revenue in Q2 2025 increased 4.5 percent to 1.23 trillion won from the same time last year. Operating profit in the second quarter was 181.9 billion won, up 29.8 percent year-on-year. More from WWD Keen and Metalwood Studio Team Up on Golf Shoe Collection for Pre and Post Rounds Dillard's Posts Higher Sales, Lower Net Income in Second Quarter Skechers Beat Expectations in Q2 as Shoe Firm Continues on Path to Go Private By segment, the company noted that its Misto division, which includes the Fila brand, recorded revenue of 216.3 billion won in Q2. The company said that in the quarter, Fila continued to work on its brand repositioning strategy, as well as launch new key products such as 'Peito' and 'Panthera' following the success of the 'Echappe' franchise and opened the Fila 1911 Myeong-dong concept store in April. In Greater China, the company's Marithé+François Girbaud label opened its first store in Shanghai's landmark Xintiandi district, marking a significant step in K-fashion expansion. Leveraging Misto Holdings' operational network, the company said it plans to extend brand awareness across the Greater China region while pursuing mid- to long-term brand refinement and strategic investments. As for the company's Acushnet segment, the company's U.S. golf subsidiary, revenue grew 7.9 percent to 1.01 trillion won in Q2 over the same time last year. Misto noted that this growth was fueled by solid demand across the golf ball, club, and gear categories—particularly the new Pro V1 & Pro V1x golf balls, GT Series clubs, and Scotty Cameron putters. Despite ongoing external uncertainties such as shifts in U.S. tariff policies, the company said that its Acushnet segment outperformed expectations. Balanced performance in the U.S. and European markets, along with adjustments in certain Asian regions, contributed to the segment's stable global growth, the company added. Ho Yeon (Aaron) Lee, chief financial officer of Misto Holdings, said in a statement on Monday that despite uncertainties in the external policy environment and adjustments in certain operating regions, strong brand competitiveness centered on Acushnet and the positive effects of restructuring certain overseas operations contributed positively to the company's overall performance improvement. 'The Misto segment is also focusing on enhancing product competitiveness and improving distribution efficiency under its mid- to long-term strategy, while continuing to invest in and support balanced growth across our brand portfolio,' Lee added. This news comes as Misto Holdings has undergone some changes this year. In April, shareholders agreed to rename the company from Fila Holdings Corp. to Misto Holdings as part of a larger refocus on the business. The company said at the time that the change aimed to 'further solidify its position as a global brand portfolio company' citing that its previous name was closely associated with the Fila brand, which led to a 'limited perception' of its broader portfolio and global brand management role. Originating from the sportswear brand Fila, founded in Italy in 1911, Misto Holdings acquired Fila's global business in 2007 and became a publicly traded entity on the Korean stock market in 2010. In 2011, the company expanded further with the acquisition of Acushnet Holdings Corp., home to premium golf brands such as Titleist, FootJoy, Scotty Cameron, Kjus and Vokey. Samsung's budget Galaxy Buds 3 FE give you AirPods-like design and a battery bonus
Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Buds lineup with the 'Fan Edition' Galaxy Buds 3 FE, finally delivering a more affordable earbud alongside the existing Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro models it released in July 2024. Like its family members, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE commit to the move away from the circular earbud shape of Samsung earbuds of old to the familiar, AirPods-like 'stem' one, which Samsung calls its 'Blade' design. This can be pinched to make playback selections or swiped to adjust the volume. Recommended Videos Alternatively, you can go hands-free courtesy of Google Gemini integration – saying phrases like 'Hey Google' when you're wearing the earbuds can initiate voice playback controls, and when paired with a Galaxy phone there's the option of sending messages and checking emails via voice activation. Using the Galaxy AI Interpreter app, real-time translation can also be fed to the earbuds to facilitate conversations with someone speaking in another language. Neat. The Blade design isn't the only notable aspect of the new Samsung buds' physical design, either; the Buds3 FE have been blessed with an IP54 waterproof rating, making them suitable for wearing during sweaty workouts or out in rainy weather. Promising performance upgrades Like their 2023-released Galaxy Buds FE predecessor, the new Samsung budget earbuds have active noise cancellation onboard, only this time it has been improved to reduce ambient noise and therefore increase its effectiveness to isolate you and your music or voice calls. They also sport a larger driver than the previous-gen buds for supposedly 'rich, powerful sound with deep bass and clear treble', which bodes well for the new FEs considering we called the originals 'clear, full-frequency sound signature, with a generous soundstage'. Perhaps unsurprisingly considering their modest price point, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE settle for Samsung's SSC Bluetooth codec alongside the 'vanilla' AAC and SBC. While the higher-quality aptX and LDAC codec can be found in similarly affordable wireless earbuds such as our favorites, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, which supports the latter codec, their absence is hardly a deal-breaker at this price. One thing that does thoroughly impress at this price level is the Galaxy Buds 3 FE's battery life – you get 8.5 hours in the buds (or 6 hours with ANC on) and an extra 24 hours of juice in the charging case (or 30 hours with ANC on). Plenty of much pricier earbuds don't manage those numbers (as you can see in our best wireless earbuds guide) – including Samsung's flagship Buds 3 Pro, which have a maximum on-bud battery life of seven hours. Available in black or gray, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE will become available in the US on September 4, priced at $150, with availability in other territories to follow.
