Tributes paid as Celebs Go Dating star Eden Blackman dies aged 57
Tributes have poured in for the popular dating guru, remembered for his charisma, charm and passion for helping others find love. His family say he lived life with 'mischief, fire and style'.
TV personality and dating expert Eden Blackman has died at the age of 57, his family has confirmed in a heartfelt statement.
Best known for his role on the hit reality series Celebs Go Dating, Eden was a fan favourite before stepping away from the spotlight in 2018. He passed away on June 21 following a long illness, which he bore 'with quiet grace,' his family said.
In a statement posted to his Instagram account, they wrote: 'Eden blazed through life with charm, mischief and a fire that was entirely his own — magnetic, stylish, sharp, impossibly handsome and always up for the adventure.
'Music was his first love and constant companion, a pulse that shaped who he was, and he carved his path through that world with instinct, passion and deep care for the people he worked with.
'Later he brought that same energy and wild spark to television, helping others shine. He championed people with sincerity, humour and encouragement, always wanting others to feel seen at their best.'
They added: 'To know Eden was to be caught in his orbit — fun, unpredictable, vivid and full of life. He stood proud, laughed loudly and lived as only he could. We'll carry his spirit with us always.
'We ask for privacy as we find our way through this loss, and thank you for your love and kindness.'
Tributes have since poured in from across the world of entertainment, reports the Mirror. Fellow Celebs Go Dating star Paul C Brunson wrote: 'Sending love and deepest condolences. I never met Eden, but we were forever linked through Celebs Go Dating. He showed me kindness when he didn't have to, and I'll never forget it. May he rest in paradise.'
Tom Read Wilson added: 'This is so very sad. I will always be hugely grateful for his kindness and generosity of spirit. My deepest condolences at this heartbreaking time.'

Fearne Cotton said: 'The most charismatic, beautiful human. Will miss you always E. X.' Zoe Ball wrote: 'Dearest Eden. Always a gem — his smile, his energy. I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Holding you in our hearts tonight. Deepest love goes out to you.'
Eden's time on Celebs Go Dating brought him widespread recognition. When he left the show in 2018, he shared that he would be focusing on relaunching his dating app, Would Like to Meet, and continuing work with his longstanding music PR agency.
Reflecting on his departure at the time, he said: 'I'm immensely proud of the show's success but after four great series, it's now time for me to fully commit to my other projects… I've had a great time and following its best-rated series to date, wish them nothing but more success.'

Amy asked her whether Dejon, 26, is a different person when he is not around Meg, 25, to which Malisha bluntly stated: "Yeah." She then continued: "I genuinely don't think it's gonna last. Because they're like, always arguing and then coming back together. "It's [possible] either one of them are gonna get really tired of it and say, 'You know what, I can't deal with this anymore'." The former Love Island star added: "And it's just the endless cycle of I'm arguing and then kiss and make up. So it's like, I don't think it's gonna last." Malisha also described her time in the villa as a 'lose, lose situation' as she claims that her position was somewhat untenable. "We have conversations where you're like, you know, it's okay, like you're here to be a bombshell," she admitted when speaking about Meg. Adding: "Then it's like chaos that I'm actually pulling [him for a chat]. Yeah, it's a lose, lose situation." "It was too much." This comes after the former islander did not hold back when she made a bombshell appearance on Aftersun. Malisha's savage digs at Love Islanders revealed as she refuses to hold back She was asked by an audience member to give one-word verdicts on her fellow Islanders. When it came to Shea, she didn't mince her words, as she remarked that chatting to him was like 'talking to a brick wall.' She also made it clear that her feud with Meg was far from over as Malisha claimed she 'went too far.' The reality personality also claimed that she would 'never be friends' with her on the outside. Although, Malisha left the door open for a post-show spark with Dejon, cheekily saying they had 'unfinished business'. To add fuel to the fire, Dejon's own family were watching from the Aftersun audience and were asked who they thought was the better match for him: Meg or Malisha. Eamonn Holmes 'booed and heckled' on stage as he accepts award at TRIC ceremony
At the 2025 TRIC Awards, former This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes accepted an award for Best News - but he was met with very mixed reactions Eamonn Holmes encountered a tense atmosphere at Tuesday's Television and Radio Industries Club (TRIC) awards as he collected the News award on behalf of GB News Breakfast. The 65-year-old presenter used a wheelchair ramp to access the stage, where he expressed gratitude to the production team and viewers. However, the moment was marred by audible boos from some attendees. A source present at the event told MailOnline: 'After GB News Breakfast was announced as the winner, there were a few boos around the room. Because of his wheelchair, Eamonn needed a ramp to get on stage.' Despite the reaction, Eamonn delivered a touching tribute to fellow presenter Charli Peters, who had earlier won the News Presenter award for his investigative work on grooming gangs in the UK. 'It was a nice moment, seeing Eamonn pay tribute to a colleague,' the insider added. 'But someone in the audience heckled for Eamonn to 'get off,' which made the end of his speech quite awkward.' It remains uncertain whether Eamonn heard the heckling. He concluded his speech warmly, saying: 'For the thousands of people who voted, that is brilliant for us so we say thank you, thank you, thank you, to anyone who did bother to vote." This marks the second year running that Eamonn has accepted the TRIC News award. Last year, he made his appearance with the aid of a walker and hinted at personal challenges, stating: 'So I got two things in my back that I didn't want,' seemingly referencing his medical procedure and his recent split from former co-host Ruth Langsford. Elsewhere at the ceremony, former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri shared her thoughts on her career direction following her recent split from Andrew Le Page, whom she met on the ITV2 dating show in 2022. The couple, who made it to the Love Island final, ended their relationship after more than two and a half years together. Speaking at the TRIC Awards in London, the 26-year-old said she is focusing on developing her presenting career rather than returning to reality dating shows. 'It's not for me personally,' Tasha admitted, referring to programs like Love Island: All Stars or Celebs Go Dating. She added, 'I know people find love on these shows but my dating shows are closed. I'm going down a different path now. It's something I'm really passionate about. I'm happily single but I'm open to love. I'd love a family.' Tasha's comments underline her desire to move beyond the reality TV spotlight and explore new opportunities in presenting, signaling a fresh chapter in her career.
