UK singer Rameet Sandhu on adjusting to rural lifestyle for Rannvijay Singha's 'Chhoriyan Chali Gaon'
'We live in cities where everything moves so fast—constant noise, pollution, chaos. But in the village, I expect peace. And the most important thing for me is being able to connect and talk to the villagers. That human connection is what I'm really looking forward to.'
Revealing what made her say yes to the reality show, the singer mentioned, 'Actually, this is my very first reality show. And Zeek is such a big name, so honestly, I couldn't say no. The concept itself is so unique. I was born in the UK and currently live in Dubai—and now I'm heading to a village! That's a major shift, a complete challenge for me. And I really enjoy taking on challenges in life.'
Rameet Sandhu also shared her thoughts on embracing a completely new lifestyle. Coming from the UK, she revealed that she's put in a lot of effort to adjust to rural life, even going the extra mile to learn Hindi. 'I'm heading into village life now,' she said, adding that all she needs is the audience's love and support as she takes on this new challenge.
'Chhoriyan Chali Gaon,' an upcoming rural adventure reality show, is produced by Banijay Asia in collaboration with Zee TV. The show is inspired by the hit Zee Marathi series 'Jau Bai Gaavat.' The format will feature urban contestants stepping away from their usual comforts to take on the everyday challenges of village life.

Anita Hassanandani Excited For 'Kyunki' Reboot: 'Hope TV Era Comes Back'
Last Updated: Anita Hassanandani is all praises for Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi reboot starring Smriti Irani. With the recently released announcement video of the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi reboot, nostalgia is hitting Indian households hard. The iconic daily soap, which once redefined Indian television, is returning – this time with a modern-day spin and the original Tulsi herself, Smriti Irani. And it isn't just fans who are excited. Anita Hassanandani, a household name in Indian TV herself, is just as thrilled. 'Oh, it's amazing," Anita tells News18 Showsha exclusively, talking about the reboot. 'It's looking bigger, grander, more fabulous. Smriti Irani is back again. I hope that along with the show, the era of TV also comes back. When Kyunki was released, it was such a big hit. I mean, Ekta is a genius. I wish she can bring back the charm which is missing." For Anita, who has been part of Ekta Kapoor's television universe for years, from Kkavyanjali to Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, the love for television runs deep. 'I just love TV. I love working in TV. It has given so many hopes, so much that I can't tell you. It has made so many people's homes. So I hope many TV shows are made like this, remakes are made, and TV again flourishes." But even as the nostalgia for early 2000s TV is back, many actors today feel burnt out by the demanding nature of television schedules. Does Anita share that view? 'I don't think they work beyond 12 hours. It's not allowed now," she explains matter-of-factly. 'According to the rules, you work 12 hours. And I am very comfortable with that. In fact, I come from that era where there was more shooting than that! Of course, if it becomes 10 hours, nothing like it. But there are budget constraints, so everybody has to work the extra hour. Like I said, TV is not the same. And I just hope that that era comes back. Then it will be more fun to work." Now, the actress is set to embark on a fresh new journey. Anita will soon be seen in Chhoriyaan Chali Gaon, an upcoming reality show that breaks away from glam and glitz, featuring celebrity women adapting to village life. The show will soon premiere on ZeeTV. First Published:
