Chef Harsh Dixit mentioned that Virat and Anushka wanted to eat Pho, which typically doesn't align with their vegan diets.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are known for following a strict vegan diet. As such, when they wanted to eat Vietnamese Pho on their wedding anniversary in 2019, chef Harsh Dixit had to get creative. A traditional Pho is made with snake meat, snake wine and a broth made of chicken and beef. In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, Chef Harsh revealed how he made a special anniversary meal for Virat and Anushka.
Chef Harsh said, 'You have to keep things interesting. For Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's anniversary in December 2019, I made Pho, but with a twist." While both stars follow a vegan diet, traditional Vietnamese Pho isn't vegan. Thus, the popular celebrity chef had to come up with a solution.
Chef Harsh mentioned, 'There's chicken and beef in the broth. But they were eating gluten-free at the time, so we went with rice noodles, which are traditional in Pho and gluten-free." However, his dilemma didn't just end there. He said, 'Vietnamese cuisine includes a lot of snake — snake wine, even snake meat. So, how about serving 'snakes' to vegans?"
He then decided to use smoked snake gourd in the dish, stuffed with peanuts, coconut, tofu, and coriander. The dish had water chestnut, enoki mushrooms, and chillies, in a lemongrass-ginger-coriander root broth. Chef Harsh said, 'The idea was to have fun while staying within the dietary boundaries. That's what being a private chef is about."
Speaking of Harsh's experiments with noodles, he also mentioned a ramen recipe that is loved by Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone. He said, 'I have made this chicken and pork ramen for Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone. Alia told me it transported her to her travels. That's the power of intentional food."
He added, 'There's the tare (the seasoning base), often soy or miso, the broth, noodles, protein, and toppings. But I've started seasoning the broth directly instead of using tare. That trick has been a hit with all my clients." He said, 'They're called Miracle Noodles, virtually zero calories." Chef Harsh revealed that Deepika Padukone likes her ramen to be 'ultra-hot, extra spicy, with Miracle Noodles". 'It hit the spot for her, and she asked for seconds," he said.
Chef Harsh Dixit is a popular private chef for Bollywood celebrities, besides Virat, Anushka, Alia and Deepika, he also cooks for Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ranbir Kapoor and more.

Trump cancels August vacation to work on Russia-Ukraine

Agency: Last Updated: Washington, Aug 19 (AP) The White House on Tuesday said President Donald Trump called off his traditional summer vacation in northern New Jersey due to the ongoing talks to end the war in Ukraine. Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, confirmed the president's decision. 'This is normally the time when the president goes on vacation, but not this president," Leavitt said, adding that there were 'discussions about him working from Bedminster for a couple of weeks but he decided against it." Bedminster is the location of his club in northern New Jersey, where Trump often goes for weekends. He also spent some stretches of time in August there for vacation during his first term. The comments from Leavitt came when the White House took a portion of the day's press pool out to the renovated Rose Garden as the president tested out the area's new speakers. Earlier, Deputy White House Chief of Staff Dan Scavino posted footage showing off new speakers installed as part of Trump's makeover of the White House's Rose Garden. One of Trump's favourite songs, Lee Greenwood's 'God Bless the USA," blares in the video, over a shot showing patio-style tables shielded by yellow umbrellas. The shot later focuses in on an American flag overhead. Leavitt subsequently brought reporters to the Rose Garden and said Trump was controlling the playlist as crews tested the speakers for 'what will be the best event in the history of the White House." She said the next party there will be 'hopefully soon." Other songs being played included 'Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harum. The music was loud enough to be heard in other parts of the White House. Dragon: Jr NTR's House Set Built For Whopping Rs 15 Crore? Here's What We Know

Last Updated: Jr NTR's Dragon is set to feature a lavish Rs 15 crore house set at Ramoji Film City. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film begins its next action-packed schedule in September. Jr NTR briefly shot for Dragon last month before stepping away to promote War 2, where he shared screen space with Hrithik Roshan. With promotions now complete, the actor is set to dedicate his full attention to the Prashanth Neel directorial. The film's first schedule was shot in the coastal town of Kumta, Uttara Kannada, offering a scenic backdrop along the Konkan coast. Expansive factory sets were created for the ten-day schedule. However, unpredictable weather forced the production to move away from outdoor shoots in the region. Rs 15 Crore Spent On Jr NTR's House Set To ensure seamless progress, the team shifted to Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, where multiple elaborate sets are being built. Among them, the most striking is Jr NTR's on-screen residence. According to a report in Filmfare, the house set alone is valued at a staggering Rs 15 crore. Designed with precision, it will feature curated artefacts, custom wall hangings, and detailed colour schemes, making it a key visual element of the narrative. This extravagant investment reflects the film's larger-than-life approach and Neel's commitment to world-building. Next Major Schedule Begins September Currently on a short festive break, Jr NTR will rejoin the sets after Vinayaka Chaturthi. The next schedule, starting in early September, will run for a month in Hyderabad and will largely revolve around high-octane action sequences. With Prashanth Neel at the helm and Jr NTR's star power, Dragon is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious films in recent times.
