Emmerdale legend reveals exciting new chapter
The young actress took to Instagram to tell her followers about the opening of her new Pilates studio.
'[At the] beginning of this year I had so much anxiety, after losing my job last winter, and really didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. I always knew I wanted to run my own business one day but didn't know exactly where to begin.
After I reflected on what I really wanted to do, I did a level 3 mat and reformer Pilates course over the spring and I'm so proud of myself for passing. I realised that I want help people with lifestyle and fitness, especially through Pilates. I want to create a new community for so many people out there' https://www.instagram.com/p/DNTfLdas4ld/?hl=en-gb&img_index=1
'This has been the hardest secret to keep. This year I am so proud of myself. I've pushed myself in so many ways. In ways, I never could've never imagined.'
Daisy also shared that she'd roped in her grandad to help with getting the building ready, sharing a sweet snap of the two.
'Me and my 80 year old grandad have been renovating this old crown court for 8 weeks now and he's taught me so much, and we've both worked so hard on this to get it to my dream. Every little detail is so special'
Daisy debuted on the show at the tender age of 7, arriving as part of the Spencer clan alongside mother, Ali (Kelli Hollis), her fiancée Ruby Haswell (Alicya Eyo) and brother Sean (Luke Roskell). They were later joined by her (presumed) dad, Dan (Liam Fox) and his brother (who's actually her biological dad), Daz (Mark Jordon).
Her early storylines involved the tragic death of Ruby following a helicopter accident in the village and her growing closeness to new step mum, Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) following Ali's decision to move to Liverpool.
She later discovered her true parentage and later became embroiled in a kidnap plot, when Beth (Annabelle Kaye), a girl who's father was accidentally killed by Daz in an army training exercise, then, after falling pregnant following a one night stand with Samson Dingle (Sam Hall), she embarked on a relationship with Noah Dingle (Jack Downham), who helped raise her daughter, Esther.
Next came a stalking scandal which Amelia ultimately lost her dad to. Dan was sentenced to 8 years after accidentally killing the man who was harassing her.
The decision was then made to get rid of her character, following the departure of all of her on-screen family and her final storyline saw her drawn deeply into the deceitful web of evil abuser Tom King (James Chase), with him manipulating Amelia following his campaign of terror against Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).
Although initially blind to Tom's true nature, the scales eventually fell from her eyes and Amelia left the village after finally turning on the sadistic monster. More Trending
'It wasn't my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first', Daisy explained to the Mirror at the time. 'Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I've spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting.'
'Amelia isn't part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn't have any family. There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age.'
She later described a 'grieving process'. 'It feels really sad,' Daisy told Metro. 'It's mixed emotions really. It's been such a tough year, and I've had to deal with so much, but I was so at peace when leaving because I've grieved.
'I'm not only grieving for myself, it's a character that I've always played, this is my first ever job from being seven, so it felt really sad. But then it was nice to close the door and be at peace, because I've just allowed it to play out as it has this year. But yeah, it's really upsetting, because it's all I've ever known.'

Lana Del Rey Vs Ethel Cain - The 'Copycat' IG Post, Body Shaming Allegation and Lyrical Digs Explained
Another day in celeb world, another feud. This time, the drama is brewing between Ethel Cain and Lana Del Ray. While it's no secret that Ethel has been compared to Lana several times, drama escalated between the pair this week thanks to the lyrics of Lana's new song. It kicked off when Lana posted an Instagram video which showed her in a car, listening to a segment of a song from her upcoming album, with the lyrics 'Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post / Think it's cute reenacting my Chicago pose.' People were quick to deduce that the lyric seems to reference a picture from 2024 of Cain with Jack Donoghue - Del Ray's supposed ex-boyfriend, in front of a dam. Ethel had a close friendship with Jack, and some reports even suggested she dated him after his relationship with Lana. What's more, the 2024 image was strikingly similar to a previous photo of Del Rey and Donoghue outside Chicago's Cook County Jail. In the song, Rey's lyrics also say 'The most famous girl at the Waffle House/ I don't regret it/ The most famous girl at the Waffle House.' In a 2022 profile in The New York Times, Cain was dubbed 'The Most Famous Girl at the Waffle House' - leading many people to think Ray is throwing further shade at her here. The lyric also references Lana's own viral 2023 moment, when she was spotted working a shift at a Waffle House in Alabama. Things escalated even further when Pop Pass shared a post reporting on the unreleased segment of the song, Lara also alleged that Ethel body-shamed her in a comment. 'I don't know who Ethel was until a few years ago – when someone brought to my attention the disturbing and graphic side-by-side images she would often put up of me next to unflattering creatures and cartoon characters making constant comments about my weight, I was confused at what she was getting at,' she wrote. 'Then when I heard what she was saying behind closed doors from mutual friends and started inserting herself into my personal life I was definitely disturbed.' Shortly after, Cain shared on her Instagram stories that Lana had blocked her on the platform. Ethel has not responded to Lana's claims. The links between Ethel and Lana go a long way back. According to reports, Ethel used to be a Lana Del Ray fan, and even posted a cover of her track, born to die, online in 2017. However, in time Ethel reportedly grew frustrated with the comparisons between her and Lana. According to Dazed, she once replied to a fan who compared the two of them by saying 'I pushed her over when I ran past' and 'She'll never catch up to me in her Macy's dress.' Neither Lana or Ethel have released public statements about the feud. As for how the fed between these two indie stars will play out online (and on Spotify)? Watch this space. He made light work of the ITV show's pyramid - with 29 seconds remaining to answer the £50,000 Catchphrase. At this point, Joe hit a stumbling block as he tried to work out the last puzzle. It first showed various shops, with stop signs on display in the window. The key focus was "Sign World", which had a single stop sign and an arrow pointing to it. Joe initially guessed "Stop sign" and "Only a stop sign", as the clock ticked away. With only four seconds left, the actor correctly answered "One stop shop." It meant Joe scooped £50,000 for his charity - as well as £6,700 he won in earlier rounds. Host Stephen Mulhern said: "Do you know what, that is incredible. Wow, I have never seen it done like that." Joe then revealed he couldn't wait to share the good news with his charity. Ricky Wilson misses out on huge jackpot as he struggles through Celebrity Catchphrase final - would you have done better He joined the Emmerdale cast this year, playing shady new bad guy Ray Walters. Introduced with connections to Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb), it was revealed he would be involved with Dylan (Fred Kettle). Speaking at the time of his casting, Joe shared: "Well what an honour to join such a talented team at Emmerdale! "It's an iconic show and I'm grateful to be part of it." He added: "I can't wait to see what's in stock for Ray!' Host Jeremy Clarkson asked: 'From the 2000 awards ceremony onwards, the Best Actress Oscar has never been won by a woman whose surname begins with which one of these letters?' The multiple choice answers were between G, K, M and W. In the end, and with the £32,000 safe, player Glen had to make a guess and went for G. It turned out to be correct as Nicole Kidman, Frances McDormand and Kate Winslet are among the stars who have won the Best Actress gong since 2000. - Earlier this year, fans were left outraged after what they described as the "worst" question in the show's history. The 1% Club - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. The query went as follows: "Edna's birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen's birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir's birthday must be the 'X' of January." It turns out the conundrum links the numbers with its position in the sentence, so 6th is the sixth word and 15th is the fifteenth word. Therefore, Amir's birthday is January 24th, corresponding to the 24th word in the sentence. - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. One of the questions asked the player: "Someone with a nightshade intolerance should avoid eating what?" The options were - sweetcorn, potatoes, carrots - with Steve selecting sweetcorn but the correct answer was potatoes. Long-time soap fans will remember Joe as EastEnders' Matthew Rose from 1997 to 2000. The character feuded with Steve Owen (Martin Kemp) - who memorably framed him for murder. Elsewhere, Joe recently shared a difference between working on the two soaps. Celebrity Catchphrase airs on ITV1 and ITVX.

Battlefield 6 players get free gift if they cause $1 trillion of damage in beta
EA has set Battlefield 6 players an explosive challenge in the open beta, depending on exactly how much property damage they cause. Battlefield 6's second open beta officially went live on Thursday, adding an additional map called Empire State and two new modes in Rush and Squad Deathmatch. The beta is set to run until Sunday, August 18 at 9am BST, and developer EA has leaned into the franchise's appetite for destruction via a new challenge for players. If players around the world manage to collectively cause $1 trillion worth of damage in the Battlefield 6 beta, everyone who participated will receive a Destruction weapon skin for the M60 machine gun when the full game launches on October 10, 2025. At the time of writing, the total amount of financial damage is just over $100 billion, a figure carried over from the first beta, so players have a lot to demolish over the next two days if they want to claim their prize. If you want to see how much you've individually contributed to the desecration of virtual architecture, EA has a way so players can see their specific 'destruction receipt' too. Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. In order to access the results of your destruction, you first have to take part in some obligatory social engagement. You can find a breakdown of the steps below. Blow up stuff in the Battlefield 6 beta. Post a gameplay video of your destruction on X or Instagram with #BF6Receipts and @battlefield mentioned in the post. Within 24 hours, your receipt will be added to the online leaderboard here, where you can search for your username and find your total. So what's the best way to cause the most destruction? While you can rack up damage by hopping in vehicles and unloading at buildings, character class wise you're best to pick the Engineer, who comes with a rocket launcher and mines as side weapons. More Trending If you fancy seeing your player stats from the first open beta, you can check out those by entering your EA ID here. While the jury is out on whether Battlefield 6 will threaten Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7, the latter's release date is a whole month later according to a recent leak.
