Other leaders also took to social media, alleging that the CM dined at a hotel and ate badam halwa even after being informed about multiple deaths caused by the stampede. Karnataka BJP State President BY Vijayendra on Thursday demanded an inquiry by sitting High Court judges and a minimum compensation of ₹50 lakh for the families of the 11 who died in the stampede. Speaking at a press conference at the BJP legislature party office in Vidhana Soudha, Vijayendra analysed the situation in the state, stating that the "Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Home Minister should resign."Deputy CM Shivakumar broke down while speaking to the media and said he was "unable to come to terms with the death of our kids", and added that it was a lesson for the government."There is a lot of pain among the people of the state about this unfortunate tragedy. This is a time for mourning and not for scoring some political brownie points. The blame for this incident can't be put on one or two individuals," Shivakumar said.The state BJP rebutted the claims and said the police forces were understaffed and overworked despite handling incidents on Tuesday night when RCB won the IPL final. "The same police were redeployed for duty the next day. They reportedly refused to provide security for the event, but the government issued forceful instructions," said an opposition leader.

Shah to visit state after PM's prog in Siwan on June 20
Patna: Union home minister Amit Shah's Araria visit on June 15 has been postponed, said BJP state president Dilip Kumar Jaiswal on Saturday. Shah will now come to Bihar after PM Narendra Modi's Siwan visit on June 20, he said. PM Modi will address a public meeting in Pachrukhi block of Siwan district, where he is supposed to transfer a total of Rs1,011 crore in the bank accounts of more than 1 lakh beneficiaries of Bihar as the first instalment under the Pradhan Mantri Urban Housing Scheme. The PM is also likely to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate the project related to sewage treatment plants in 22 cities of Bihar. Apart from this, the foundation stone for the water supply project will also be laid in 13 cities. The cost of the entire project is more than Rs 7,170 crore.
